I can’t imagine what my people went through in those days but oh my God I’m so proud of them. They made me strong. This is the confidence people see in us. It’s not arrogance. Narcoleptics often hallucinate and hear voices, I know this because I am one. Harriet is someone for whom I have great admiration for, she achieved so much despite living with this disability. Tomorrow , Sept 22nd is the second #WorldNarcolepsyDay, and I am one of 3M worldwide sufferers trying to help raise awareness. If only Harriet was still here, I am certain that she would have driven that awareness train! To raise awareness, I have started a Blog about my own long journey to receiving a diagnosis (39 years from first symptom to receiving a correct diagnosis!) Blog site is: www.waking-up-tired, and I have also written a song about Harriet called "The Underground Railroad" that I hope to release very soon. I sing the song with my dear friend Gail Page who is an Australian indigenous woman, having the combination of race and disability makes the song all the more special. The Underground Railroad will be available to be listened to on my Blog site. Thank you for uploading this movie, I much prefer this to the more recent 'Harriet' movie, Ruby Dee, what a fabulous actress!

Do you think that it is good for ADOS to further separate from the rest others of African decent? The ADOS movement sounds like further divide. This divide has been tearing us to bits. No unity amongst us because we've learned not to love each other like the family that we are. Others have taught us to hate and others have benefited from our ancestors labors and robbed us all of our heritage, language and such but when our first people stepped on that slave boat we were one people and when we stepped off that boat we were one people. We mustn't let the bad treatment and horrible past rise up and crush out our unity. If we ever rise we must do it with love and unity. One love my people. One love. Because love is stronger than division and disdain.

Google User This movie isn’t American history neither. I just realized that I’ve never heard any of my elders speak about Harriet Tubman, and when I do hear other elders speak of her is just a regurgitation of what they were taught. Just because Black actors agreed to do this movie, and perpetuate a slave history doesn’t mean this is really our history. Itz a whole wight man narrating the whole movie O_o Ask ur elders about American history, who they come from, what they ate, the games they played when they were kids, etc if you want to know real history. Watching hollywood (wight funded) movies isn’t the answer.

Miss Dolores Scott my beautiful dance teacher... from Burrus Elementary in Houston Texas, I will never forget that you allowed me to play Harriet Tubman in a ballet recital even though I'm Hispanic. You taught me that no matter what color you are you can do whatever you want in life if you believe. God gave us all the same talents. we just have to do good with them. I'm from the Netherlands and went to a Steiner school. Apparently we were the only school back then where the story about the underground railroad was taught. Steiner schools have a bad stigmata here I guess (also because back in the 1910s people had weird thoughts about 'race' and so did Rudolf Steiner) yet the history of black Americans and how they obtained civil rights was a very huge part of our education. I think in public school they have only just begun making this part of the curriculum.

Harriet was an unbelievable woman so coregeous and absolutely valiant . Risking her life for others and continuing on the journey in all circumstances. She was subject to seizures, but she still kept on thinking of freeing Others. It was good to see that there were white people who risked their own lives to save the slaves as well. It's said that Harriet died poor, but I believe she is enjoying her beautiful mansion in heaven and all her rewards she rightfully gained in her earthly life. What a leader, what a selfless woman, what aChristian soldier! I love to meet her on day and thank her for her work of love. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

harriet tubman is my favorite person in all of history. no one who ever lived was ever more brave, selfless, courageous, or heroic than harriet tubman. she risked her life for years, she didn't rest until everyone was free. she went back to the south NINETEEN times, i can't wrap my head around that. then the civil war. she became the first woman military leader in American history, and the first woman to lead troops in battle. she lead an assault on a plantation and burned it to the ground. that raid alone freed over 700 slaves. even after the war and the emancipation she still fought, without fear, until she died in poverty surrounded by her family. what an extraordinary life. she's my biggest hero and i hope to become a tenth of what she was.
    thanks for finding this film.

When my school offered the course in the early 1970's, I did not do well at all when it came time to take tests. There was so much valuable information to absorb in a very short time; information that we should have been taught starting in elementary school. I am so glad that is is being covered in many school systems today - it is fascinating.
