i live in okinawa and have had the g430 lst for a month or so. it has been a great driver. i came from the older g410, which i loved a lot. but the g430 is just fun and better
Great test. Enjoy seeing the dispersion on the side screen and then the different tags. Makes it easier to see the differences!! Keep up the great videos
I'd be curious to see these results with closer swing speed averages. Is the 1.5mph club head speed gain with the 430's due to the head design, or is he just swinging faster with them?
I've owned both in the last 2 months. Both went the same distance for me roughly as I end up in the same spots for my second shot on the course on all the holes I use driver on, but the Max was more forgiving. Last round with the Max, I hit 16 fairways, and with the LST I hit 8. The reason the LST is in the bag, is that I can fade it easier, and with the Max it was tougher to fade for me, and always wanted to go right to left. The Max feels lighter too, so if you have 120 gram irons shafts, they feel heavy all of a sudden. The Max is still loud, probably as loud as the G410 series, and out on the course, the LST is still loud. My buddy plays a 915D3, and it's as loud as that.
Great review. Interesting in your opinion g430 sounds louder. Other reviewers liked the improved sound compared to the previous Ping models. My current gamer g410 lst ventus red 60s tipped 1” is a fairway finder for me. I found the g425 lst little loud for me. Can’t wait to go demo the g430s.
It’s obvious some of the commentators are clueless. This was a great test, only problem is the limited number of swings and all made by the same person. Would love to see same specs on the 10K in his hands, an update is warranted.
watching your new Driver videos and i am totally confused on which i am leaning towards ( Ping G430 , Taylormade Stealth2 , Cobra Aerojet , Callaway Paradym , Titleist TSR2 ) they all are looking and performing so good ....Question ? which do you think would suit me ( just curious ) I am 58 years old 9 handicap driver swing speed about 90-94.....looking for distance and forgiveness also will have it at a length of 44 1/2 regular flex ... Interested in your thoughts..... cheers from Vulcan Alberta
Based on watching many many videos on the various new drivers, if distance is more important than dispersion go with the TaylorMade Stealth 2. If dispersion is more important than distance, go with the Ping G430 Max. If you want to gain a little improvement in both dispersion and distance, go with the Callaway Paradym. Factor in looks and feel (and confidence at address) … then ask yourself which would you regret not buying. Bottom line, pick your top 3 and hit them at your local golf shop or get a fitting. All good choices. P.s., the first release always has some glitches, so perhaps the Stealth 2 has these covered. Also, only some of these clubs have some adjustability; so, if that is important you can eliminate some based on that. Sorry for the long ramble, but I am working through the same question as I consider updating from my Ping G410 plus to a new driver.
I love Ping drivers but the sound was always terrible. Thr g430 finally has fixed that issue and i actually found it to be one of the best feeling drivers of '23. The max was a bit draw biased but luckily you can play it flat and open easily.

I’m coming from the 410 lst as well. Did you hit the max too? What did you think?
Thanks for sharing
Nice review. Keep up the good work!!!
Thanks, will do!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Great review guys!
Thanks Tom

So if you’ve watched our previous videos his swing speed stays pretty consistent. I would guess it’s from the head design but we can’t be sure 100%
I agree, the ball speed gains shown for the g430 are because for whatever reason he’s swinging it 2-4mph faster than the g425. Very misleading
@@traviss8073 it’s not misleading cause they are showing the data.
A lot of early reviews show G430 Max performing better than G430 LST. Nice work Ping 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for watching!

We're indoors so that may have something to do with it.

Without being able to see you swing or have any numbers to go off of I would pick the most forgiving one for you. Thanks for watching!

Yesirrrr
Not bad of a driver.
I’ll be sticking with my 425 max. Less spin, a yard longer and better dispersion. Definitely not worth spending the money by the looks of things.
Thanks for watching
Way improved sound though 🤔
I absolutely love the louder sound of the G425. I preferred it over the quieter G410
There's no need to read all the stats after every shot. It's clearly on the screen. That is providing zero added value to the viewer.
Ok , that was an irritating opening. Sorry I stopped in. Bye.
