Another question: how did River manage to not shoot the Doctor? And if she never did, how did the events of The Impossible Astronaut even happen? It's a paradox that should cancel itself out.
She drained the suit's power systems, so the shots were not powerful. And wibbly wobbly timey wimey. Or, the fixed point not happening froze time at that point, so, from an out side perspective, there was no change. The alternate reality of time going wrong was apart form said events, until they were corrected and the timeline re-righted itself.
Atomic254 He didn't find a plot hole. The Silence forgot that River was living her history in reverse to the doctor, so knew to take action before the Silence forced her to 'kill' the doctor.
This story arc was the best for me - it was interesting, confusing, complicated, spaghetti, feels, timey-wimey... and in the end everything unravels with a bang! I paused the video and needed 20 min to calm my excitement down and rearrange everything from the season in chronological order.
one of my fave storylines in dr who I understood it cause the doctor and river like they explained well she did they are opposites separating further and further but yet coming together at the same time it shocked me too on the first episode of season 6 and man that lake looks nice the hot sun warm water I wonder if it is a real location in Utah so I can go there when I visit some friends one day

***** but again young boy and girl will have to grow up one day instead of being spoon-feed everything.
It's more than brilliant for a children's show such as Doctor who to be this involved rather than some of the utterly boring show you get in other countries
.
David Symonds How did she drain the suit? She was in it and not in control of it.

OK WE GET IT YOU FOUND A PLOT HOLE IN THIS EPISODE, HAVE AN INTERNET COOKIE
Atomic254 Yum yum!
Atomic254
He didn't find a plot hole. The Silence forgot that River was living her history in reverse to the doctor, so knew to take action before the Silence forced her to 'kill' the doctor.
River to 11th Doctor - "Hello Sweetie"
12th Doctor to River - "Hello Sweetie"
Truly, a timeless romance.
'And you are forgiven. Always and completely forgiven.'
I'm not crying. I just have very warm eyes. Very warm eyes are cool.
That thumbnail tho
I love how she says my love
I have to do it.
It’s an astronaut in the ocean.
This story arc was the best for me - it was interesting, confusing, complicated, spaghetti, feels, timey-wimey... and in the end everything unravels with a bang!
I paused the video and needed 20 min to calm my excitement down and rearrange everything from the season in chronological order.
2:00 The look on his face gets me every time XD
Congratulations River! You have broken Time!
Shadowkey392 barry did it first
Astronaut in the ocean. I'm sorry. Had to say it.
River literally went "Nuh-uh" to a fixed point in time
River: hello, sweetie
Doctor: dafuq?
Am i the only one who thinks that if Moffat would have killed the doctor there would be a fucking riot
If you were the only one then it wouldn't be a riot.
GriffinRulesdotcom he wouldn't duh!
He's killing this one on 25th Dec. Hurray, Merry Xmas Whovians! Ola!
=w=
Riiaru Yoo BBC really loves to give christmas presents
killing the Doctor would involve ending the show completely, so yeah I think there just might have been a bit of a riot.
no one will be the Doctor like Matt Smith Doctor
Fourth
No one will be like the 11 doctor because theres only one matt smith. Tom Baker was great too but in an other way than Matt.
+''Con'': I think the OP meant future doctors...
Just love how casually that guy remarks about having fired his gun and having no memory of even doing it.
Series 6 is just so amazing coming from a RTD fan.
Very flattering looking thumbnail
2:42 i love these part of Silence, really hope there's more of their scenes
Ah, the good old days when fixed points in time still mattered and weren't just "one possible future"
Whatchu know about rollin down in the deep .
Astronaut in the ocean
WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT ROLLING DOWN IN THE DEEP
I love how he can't change history when he kind of does that in every episode
Rivers face before time is rewritten is so hilarious.
River: Fixed points and be rewritten
Doctor: No they can't! Who told you that?-
River: lel rekt
Omar Karim Barry Allen told her it
Dazza 1910 Ha!
I love the scene where the 11th Doctor realizes that River just altered time. It's like a married couple argument XD!
Although that IS kinda true...
What you know about rolling down in the deep.
Wha'chu know 'bout rollin' down in the deep?
one of my fave storylines in dr who I understood it cause the doctor and river like they explained well she did they are opposites separating further and further but yet coming together at the same time it shocked me too on the first episode of season 6 and man that lake looks nice the hot sun warm water I wonder if it is a real location in Utah so I can go there when I visit some friends one day
0:01 now I see how masked wolf got his title of his song
what you know rolling down in the deep end
My thoughts exactly
[SPOILER!!!]He could just have explained River about his plan... or simply tell her "look at my eye".
Instead, he wanted to be mysterious and dramatic and the lack of communication made the most resourceful woman in the universe break time itself in an unnecessary effort to save her love.
0:24 his reflection isn't reversed. Lazy edit, yo. I only noticed because I've seen this scene a thousand times, and it just stuck out. Like, dude. That's leaving in lightsabers' shadows levels of "really?"
This version of doctor has a very cute and funny relationship while Peter has a very matured and husband and wife relationship with River
:( Is the end of the doctor who : Matt Smith. His the best one OF ALL DOCTORS !
Funny, I would say he is the WORST NewWho Doctor ( Tennant > Capaldi > Eclleston > Smith)
Tennant shall bring a rein to be the ruler of the earth. What Did I just say? No idea, But Tennant is Love, Tennant is life.
Giannis Polychronopoulos I don't like to argue with a fellow whovian but i disagree about Smith !! Actually in your list i d exchange Capaldi for Smith !! Every actor portraying the Doctor has something to offer to the character and i personally loved Smith's often childlike attidute and the flirting ... oh god the flirting ... tespa ... to go back on track everyone is entitled to their own opinion but Smith is the most loveable NewWho Doctor something that Capaldi said affected his own playing very much !!!! After all he went very far to ensure that scenes which would endear his doctor to the audience got deleted cause he couldn't rival Smith's ... popularity ?? lovability?? I don't know how to call it!!! That's me over and out !!!
T
RaiserGT I'm not too keen on peter capaldi and Matt smith is my favourite modern doctor but still accept that he's gone
Excellent thumbnail choice.
matt looks like jesus lol..
matt smith is jesus
Ah, nope.
Played him.
Shan Cynide FINALLY SOMEONE NOTICED!
Shan Cynide what if he is?
1:47 when the gawk gawk suck suck is too strong
Wish they would have written a recap of rivers speech from Series 4 being said by 11. Would have been nice and sad to have that be a constant loop. River giving the Doctor that speech because the doctor gave River that speech and the Doctor doing it because he remembered her saying it and so on and so forth still loved this episode though
+Kace KTV Well some part is actually the same. So it is actually a loop. And that creates a paradox. Because if both to it from each other, who came up with it in the first place?
Melody is there in three different times; in the suit, on the beach and in her mothers belly
Guys I reckon this was a *canon event*
It is. It literally means fixed point.
i love how the whole River Song story was set up soooo early and you knew she would die right from the beginning
Amazing scene, amazing episode
Under the tweed jacket, you never realise how muscly Matt actually is.... *melts*
+lockette2 You're creepy.
