Met him once when he was in GA. visiting Ole Cooter . He was eating at the Log Cabin restaurant which served all you can eat BBQ and stew,plus they had catfish. Really good food. Been shut down for years now after the owners died out. Who ever inherited the place sold it out to A Dollar General Store. They everywhere now,like convenient stores.
My best friend that has passed away was from North Carolina. I made him some pig roasters; he had his pigs skinned. When he cooked them they were great eating. He died from cancer.

Yeah , my stepdad use to cook a hog every year when I was growing up and he always had the head cut off for sure . I don't think I could eat it if it wasn't cut off . Those were some fun times though . Staying all night and listening to some of my stepdad's family play their guitars and sing . A few got pretty drunk too . They passed the jar around too . 😉 This was in the 80's when Hank was getting really popular with his new music . I remember going to his concerts in Atl . GA. We didn't live in Atlanta though . We lived out in the country and still do . Looks like they were having a pretty good time too.
Guy is blessed, he was making a couple hundred thousand a year when he was in middle school because of his dad and his name. Then he creates his own style of music and it's legendary stuff, and he was in the right era to make a ton of money. The guy had 40 years of being able to dominate the shelves lol, 40 years before mp3 sharing started hurting artists sales
The man the myth the legend he has earned every right if you think he’s full of himself that’s your opinion but can you go out and buy a jet airplane to find you place to go anywhere you want I doubt it this man fell 500 feet of a mountain avalanche and had his whole body rebuilt and still came back to make some of the greatest music that still stands the test of time put that in your pipe and smoke it
