Beautiful finished rose! I have to admit that I prefer you talking through most of the video. I am so focused on watching you paint, that by the time I realize there are words at the bottom, and I change where I am looking, I do not get finished reading the text, and I am not a slow reader. I do better with the audio instructions.
Thank you for the feedback. I’m dipping between both as doing voice over work is very difficult for me sometimes but I’ll still do them, just not every week, but obviously the Patreon ones will be with the spoken voice. You can, of course stop the video to read the words and then carry on, just a suggestion of course. Thank you for your feedback I really appreciate it
I like the talking too!
@beece2413 thank you for the feedback
I love your lessons
Thank you x
Your videos are so well done. Easy to follow and choice of music lovely. ❤
Thank you Karen. That’s very kind of you x
You are one of the few who paints a flower stem sturdy enough to hold the flower up. Those skinny green lines one encounters in otherwise lovely paintings are so useless looking. Well done!
Thank you 😊
Lovely work! I noticed that you don’t talk, love the way you used your hands! I understand better since I’m hard to hear,
Thank you!❤
Thank you very much. I have started to do more of these types of videos lately
@@helencampbell love them! I can read your hands now!! Thank you so much!
My pleasure
Red can be so tricky but this turned out so beautiful!!
Thank you Monique.
Beautiful!
Thank you
Buongiorno, grazie per insegnarci la sua tecnica,il cammino della realizzazione di questa bella rosa accompagnato da una musica da sogno✨😍🙏
Thank you Sara
OK that's an amazing rose. I love your use of the inktense! I definitely overwork my flowers when I do them. Man I just love how soft and delicate your rose looks. You really do bring them to life.
Thank you so much 😊
Stunning! I can almost smell the rose. Glad to see what my Inktense pencils are capable of doing.
Thank you very much Kelli
How beautiful, Rae! Can’t wait to try this! 🌹
Thank you very much Maureen. Is a nice easy one today
Beautiful,so realistic!
Thank you very much
Stunning! This is exactly what I've been looking for! You amaze me.
Thank you very much Paula 😀
Such beautiful work, thank you Helen.
Thank you. I loved painting this
Great idea and lovely result.
Thank you Sharon. It takes the pressure off a little I think. It’s a lovely one to paint
Ahh thank you so much beautiful! Looks amazing!
Thank you 😊
BEAUTIFUL work, as always!! Well done, Helen, and the music was also very relaxing!! Thank-you for the light you shine by creating these videos for us!! You're a star ✨👏😘😍🐝

Stunning work!! ❤👌
Thank you so much 😊
very nice rose 😍
Thank you
Beautiful! Thanks
Thank you
Beautiful. 😊
Thank you
Beautifully done rose.I needed to slow down the speed of the video so that I could read and pay attention to the brush strokes, it worked for me❤ I love your eye for details
Thank you very much 😊
Beautiful
Thank you very much Linda
That's how a rose should look. Amazing work Helen as always. I have been on the fence about Inktense though seeing how they can work with watercolours and the fine details you can get with them and they are lightfast, I ordered a set.🤣 So thank you, Helen, for helping me decide. I am looking forward to trying this rose for myself when the pencils arrive. It's also given me ideas for the Kingfisher birds I am currently doing. (Oh and I finished the purple feather mask painting too) x
Thank you very much and I love that you are so inspired by this. It’s a great way to use Inktense pencils. You’ll love them. Let me know how you get on
I love your work so much!! Amazing how you can see all details that make the flower so realistic. I will also try this one, let's see if I can get a decent result! :)😀 Thank you so much for sharing once again.
Aw thanks Sonia. This is a lovely one to try.
Lovely work Rae ❤
Thank you very much Anita x
🧩 I’m having a little hardship trying to read the on-screen information while (at the same time) watching the Artist paint.
- It seems to be a tricky situation. 😊
- Is it just me, or are there any others that find it a little overwhelming/ challenging?
- In order to catch it all, I stop my device when needed, then restart it again.
- But to be honest, it takes more time to do that, than it takes to watch the full video.
Blessings 💕
The painting is absolutely stunning ‼️
From time to time I have to do text on screen. Sometimes outside factors make doing voice overs difficult. I’m adhd and autistic and sometimes my brain just won’t let me as well as noise outside. I do my best to do voice overs when I can. Indeed out of the 150 odd videos I have here only four have txt on screen. I hope you’ll continue to watch the tutorials that I put out and this hasn’t put you off.

Awe…. THANKYOU for your explanation!
I have a few challenges myself. So I understand completely.
And OF COURSE I’ll still watch your channel.
I like it a lot.
- I shouldn’t be so fussy.
I don’t need to see every single word anyways. 🫣
- It’s probably just my bad vision!! 😎
💕 I’LL BE WATCHING ‼️
That’s very kind of you. Thank you for being so understanding x
Thank you Helen for putting this tutorial here for us. I am amazed at your use of Inktense pencils, I have the blocks but I actually hadn’t thought of using them with my watercolour. I will have to experiment now! Love from West Australia 🇦🇺
Hi Sarah. Glad you liked it. Let me know how it works with the blocks x
@@helencampbell i certainly will Helen.
Great x
Lovely.
Thank you Lindy
Lovely ❤
Thank you
i always😁 say i am not very good at painting flowers. Your beautiful is going to make me give it another try . thank you
Oh please do. Let me know how you get on x
@@helencampbell thank you i will🙂
Great x
Beautiful! Thank you for this. (PS Having a little difficulty reading your white comments on a white background 🤓)
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll keep experimenting with the titles. X
beautiful 🌹

Hello from Dunedin Fl.
Hi Andrea. Hi from The Cotswolds, England
This looks lovely. I have a set of Inktense that I bought about 5 years ago and have barely used them. I am a beginner watercolourist and this use of the Inktense looks awesome. I will have to try them. I am wondering if they stain the brushes permanently and need to have a separate set of brushes for them?
They are absolutely fine to use with your regular brushes. They do stain my white ones here. These snowdrop rounds, but watercolour will stain them as well so it doesn’t affect the performance of them. Use any watercolour brush and it will be fine.
@@helencampbell perfect. Thank you.
My pleasure. Let me know how you get on with them
Красиво
Thank you
I think adding details with the pencils is easier than with a brush. I really like Inktense pencils.
Oh it definitely is. Thank you Jennifer. I love them too
I would like to try painting this lovely rose, Rae. I do have a question. Now that you have been using the Intense pencils for quite a while now, do you think you think you would still apply the pencil directly to the paper, or would you lay down color on your plastic palette, dilute with water, and then apply with a paint brush?
Hi Vicki. I would definitely use the plastic palette as the colour goes much further and you get a lot more pigment but if you don’t have one, paper will work as demonstrated in the video. X
This beeutiful. Thank you for guiding us. In Patreon do you provide only floral botanics are there plants such as herbals ? Thank you,Courtney
Thank you Courtney. On Patreon it’s only florals
Beautiful. I am definitely going to try this one! Thank you. I do have a question about the snowdrop brushes. Your brushes look like the hairs are black or dark. The hair on the brushes in the link are white. Are they the same brushes?
Thank you. Yes they are white when new but then they become stained with colour. They are amazing brushes
@@helencampbell thank you!
Another must try! Helen, I have only Faber-Castell and Pentel colour pencils and water colour pencils. Would these work acceptably in lieu of the brand you used? Thankee!
Absolutely
Beautiful, but I would prefer voice-over. I miss some of the written instructions because I'm concentrating on the video, then I have to rewind to catch it. I have Faber Castell Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils. Would that work as well?
Hi. Thanks for the feedback. I’ll still do voice overs but I’m slotting these in now and again to give my voice a bit of a rest. Yes it would work well with those too
For those of us that can’t draw well, is there any chance that you could make the penciled rose available to print?
Yes you can pause the video at the end and screenshot or go to our Facebook group where you can have access to all our outlines and photos there. The link is in the video description
Another great tutorial! Are Paint/Inktense the same as water soluble pencils (aquarelle pencils)?
Thank you. Sort of but Inktense are ink based and highly pigmented
@@helencampbell thanks for your prompt reply. I've never heard of them. I will look for them
@christopherazzopardi2062 great. We have a full playlist using them so take a look
Hmmm, not first today 😂
Aw no not today
One day we will have time machines, then you can fix it 😁
That would be nice lol
