Im 56 years and believe it or not just discovered Ray and damn I'm hooked what awesome fellow with a sound all his own
I'm nearly 65, and I just learned about him, this past Saturday night, on Austin City Limits--how I've never even HEARD of him before now, I haven't a CLUE... LOL
Drunken poets dream is amazing if you haven't heard it. Just like all his songs .
He is a one of a kind and a super nice guy.
Loved the little reenactment with Ray and Ringo. Lol
as much as i love Ray's music...I'd pay just to hear him talk for a couple hours....what a cool guy...
Isn't he just the cooler than hell guy?
He is one hell of a story teller and just love his music
:-) LOL
The Beatles were so deep they even did Texas Blues. Ringo is such a cool guy that he's always complete, no matter what. Ray Wylie Hubbard gave him some of that. I wish this interview had lasted a while longer.
You deserve this Ray now your legendary
Now that is so cool, Ray!!
Pickup truck. No limo or sparkly shimmering ride. LOVE Ray.
pretty cool story. Got to meet him once at south austin music. Nice guy, took him 30 minutes just to buy some strings. Talks to everyone in the place.
Great to see a couple of old guys still putting out good music.
That's a brilliant story
Nice one Ray, it's an awesome album and graced by a Beatle
🆒
Great story!
AND in 2020 he does a record with Ringo, Joe Walsh and Don Was! You can't make this up kids!
Joe Walsh is Ringos brother n Law. Joes married to Ringos wife’s sister. So they’re together often. 👍
Haaaa, great story, love the vibes 👏🏻🌹
Pure gold!
Love it!!!
Hello Ray Benson!!! Love you!!!!!!
Ray you’re name droppin again, 😹
Nice story!
Nice!
RWH gets better each album. A legend.
That's what we thought! Thanks for the post and for watching. You can watch a lot more of these at the TexasMusicScene website. Just add a dot com. Sorry, RUclips doesnt allow us to post url links here
Texas is just awesome, let's saw the rest of the U.S. off and go it alone.
If Oklahoma didn't suck so much we'd have floated off a long time ago.
Plenty great musicians from there
Johnny and edgar winter, a whole world of talent just those 2 even
Such a cool story. Ringo, like George, has such a diverse group of artists he associates with and is so humble & generous.
You just don’t here stories like this about Paul McCartney. He’s all about Michael Jackson & other superstars.
Since Ray has Ringo and Larkin Poe on his record, maybe one day Ringo and Ray will drop into a Larkin Poe session.
That's a cool story
class act. and hes a Chevrolet man. nice lookin truck Ray!
He just named drop Rick Richards one of the best Ga guitar players of all times ... amazing player
I always figured Ray for a Ford man.... Well, I'll let it slide.
that's a great story ... but if Ringo doesn't go to the Snake Farm ... he it will never "git it in the bones!" My first visit was coupled with the Wurstfest in New Braunfels 1973!
RWH has some serious guitar picker's fingernails. 💅
cool stuff, eh?
Mr. Hubbard.....did you not know "Dodge Boys have way more fun" WTF you doin drivin a chevy….shit man way to cool to be drivin a chevy…..MOPAR RULES
