Great looking and sounding pocket trumpet! I had been saving up money for another Bb Trumpet purchase but when I saw your customized pocket trumpet, I just had to order one! Thank you for your review.
Bill, appreciate your kindness I missives received recently. I’m excited to revive my trumpet playing again, and am warmed by your support. Godspeed, brother!
@@BillColletti yeh, I love the new one you picked up, beautiful brass color! If you are interested in a horn through William Colletti, straight up, honest, ethical, and does honorable business! I’d buy another horn through Bill any time!
Nice horns William! Those valve caps are the new rose gold colored 'copper plated' finish, offered by CarolBrass. They just started doing this, which was inspired by my custom heavy balanced trumpet, done in a similar finish.
Funny, I thought the finish on them was different but wasn't sure. It was ordered as Red Brass polished & lacquered. They are soon going to offer Copper plating as an option.
There's actually a pretty noticeable difference between the two pocket trumpets, probably due to the increased projection from the larger bell and how that ever so slightly tweaks the harmonics as the sound leaves the instrument.
@@ms22401galJust be aware that your embouchure needs to be impeccable and your breath force quite strong because pocket trumpets have a lot more restriction and are considerably more difficult to play. If you are pretty good already and you just need something to practice with to maintain those two aspects, then it's a great idea.
Did I see a flueglehorn in the background of your set? Do you make them for sale and availability, also? I enjoyed your playing demonstration of pocket brass instruments!

It's a Cornet. Perhaps I said it can sound like a Flugelhorn with the right mouthpiece. Can you tell me the time code in the video where I said Flugelhorn?
In the video I was using an Austin Custom Brass 1.25 CSFX Hybrid trumpet mouthpiece. It has a deep V cup. Just a word of caution, although it makes the horn have a warmer/softer tone it does limit your high range somewhat and if you're not used to playing that shaped cup it can tire you out quicker. It's a trade off that I deal with because the tone I get with it is worth it to me. Another neat "trick" that works well for me is to use a flugelhorn mp of your choice and insert that into a flugelhorn to trumpet adaptor from Bob Reeves. It's magic and gives you a nicer tone without a deep cup trumpet mp.
William Colletti good to know my Bach 5sv is just the opposite it guarantees high range, I was always under the impression “V” cuts aided in high resister play....nevertheless I love your horns and your sound, best of luck (just subscribed to your channel);
Interesting, perhaps it's just this particular ACB mp I'm using. A fellow trumpet player I know had the same high note limitation with this same mp. There are so many variations in mouthpieces and add to that all the variations of each player using them anything goes I guess. Results vary greatly.
HI Steve. CarolBrass horns are hand made in Taiwan not China. They are well made. I wouldn't play them personally or sell them if they weren't a quality product. CarolBrass has totally changed their web site in the past two months and it's still a work in progress. However, you can purchase any horns I have in stock directly through me. You can even place a custom order. Check all my in-stock available for sale and immediate delivery on Reverb at the link here ---> reverb.com/shop/billy-willy-flugel-boy Photos and full specs are in each sale listing as well as a video demonstration of the horn. If you see a horn you want to purchase email me at Bill@billcolletti.com to save a little $ off the sale price! Thanks, Bill
I want one so bad, Navy Veteran Disabled... recovering from 2 strokes and brain surgery in July of 2017.... on a fixed income.... do you know if they will do monthly payments?

Love the music, your playing, and the dog!
Thanks Amber! My dog "Chiclet" passed April 2021 at 14 1/2 years old. She was almost 12 in this video. We miss her a lot!
I bought one of your Carol Brass Cornets a couple of years ago, it plays beautifully!
Hi! I have the same cornet you purchased in a slightly different finish. I love it!

Thanks for the review Bill! I just bought your album on Amazon! Very nice and smooth!
Thank you and enjoy my album!
I’ve only seen very positive reviews for CarolBrass instruments in online trumpet forums. I’d love to try out a few of them someday.

Hey I seen you from the DanTDM pug bath
I’m confused. You said that second horn is a Cornet but then you said it’s a flugelhorn. So I’m really confused there.

Beautiful horns!!
Forgot to ask you what mouth piece shall I order to get the darker sound on the pocket unit?

I guess it just really depends on which dealer you purchase the horn from.
Where did you make your purchase?
