This song was way ahead of its time. It sounds like psychedelic trap.
Respect to you, if you are listening to this x
I love how '1969 in the sunshine' cuts through with that frequency so its the centre of your hearing without being loud. Its really cool.
Although not a follower of Davod Koresh, shes a devoted Branch Davidian.
I played this in front of my friend and he was like "what the fuck is this hypnosis" 😂
crazy how a song can open up my headspace in such a way... And I'm dead sober. Shout out to Boards of Canada for being out of this world
Having this shit on blast with headphones is literally a fever dream.
Reminds me of those weird dreams you have where something is off but you can’t tell what
Watching Geogaddi in alphabetical order rn.
Independent thought?
That beat is so legendary.
One of BoC's best songs for sure

I glad to remember this song, when i was child (about 4) my uncle loved to listen to it.
At almost 22 years of that, I remember it as a strange music, however I have a special memory of this track. The most relaxing and imaginative afternoons of my life...
Wow. Listening for years. Never realized the Davidian lyrics. Still as beautiful as ever
This and 'In a beautiful place out in the country' are both hauntingly beautiful.

the way the song rolls in before it drops in the beginning gives me chills every single fucking time.
I find this especially eerie as I have a bizarrely early memory of being in my 1st year of life (1969) and looking up from my pram at sunlight flittering through the leaves of trees above me, in our first family home. I was able to explain to my mother exactly where I was, and my 'feeling tone' (she verified the location as exactly correct). Weird!
When I was 14 I made a music video to this song using MGI Videowave, a very clunky piece of software from the early 2000s, my mom's old Sony camera and a Dell running Windows ME that crashed constantly. I no longer have that video sadly, but it was fun being a teenager, finding out new music through word of mouth and making videos with friends.
