Hi Jordy,
Thanks for all the intel. I did a lot of research on the foredom after watching you video and noted the comment on Fakes. I purchased a Red label 240v from a reputable jewellery dealer in Birmingham U.K.
this is a genuine Foredom model and his website offers the following advice to enable you to spot a fake.
Could be useful to anyone browsing for one.
You may have seen several listings for similar looking Foredom kits on eBay. These are almost certainly fake units manufactured from cheaper materials and parts out of China. Cooksongold is an OFFICIAL RETAILER for Foredom products. To identify genuine Foredom units look out for…
An embossed Red FOREDOM logo on the foot pedal. Fake units will have a sticker
One Yellow safety sticker on the shaft. Fake Units feature two stickers
Handpieces have a satin/matt finish for a better grip. Fake units have a shiny surface
An embossed direction of release instruction where the shaft connects to the motor. Fake units do not feature this.

I just got a used Foredom @ Klingspors woodworking shop in winston salem nc I have a friend who works there I know r think I got a very good deal .just a lil nervous w/ it yet ,cause I'm like a bull in a China shop 🤪 😅 got alot of bits w/it a Woodburn & dust collector 275. I just don't have right table for it yet .working on it though. Prayers I don't screw it up ty for everything u do for us first timers 🤗

Loctite blue is the medium strength, red is high strength. H44T is the big hand-piece for key drive. Has collets for 1/8 & 1/4 burrs. Just throwin it in in case. Hi Jordy

Glad I found your channel even of its a year later. I'm just starting out learning carving or for my purpose detail carving to enhance the game calls I make in hopes of taking them to the next level. For now I'm starting with a dremel to learn with plans of upgrading lager once I feel more comfortable carving. Again..thank you for the informative videos you have made..they are really helping me greatly...enjoy your day my friend

I'll wait until the pedal video to comment on the various options. Enjoyed the video. You were thinking of the blue Locktight. BTW, a 120V TX also has a blue label. I have one next to me right now. All of the counterfeit SRs have red labels usually reserved for 220V motors. I own a counterfeit SR along with Foredom SR and TX. The counterfeit isn't terrible. At all. I does need a pedal upgrade. If anyone has questions, I'd be happy to respond.
The HFT flexshaft is decent sans its pedal. For about $100 one can get the flexshaft and a plastic Foredom pedal. As said in the video, it'll accept Foredom handpieces and the counterfeits. A good value. I've had it for about 5 years and it's still working well. I'm not a carver, however; I work with metal.
Jordy, I'm amazed by the number of folks who use a flexshat and can't spin the shaft to change handpieces. Kinda fun watching them try to do it. :)

Hi Jordy, just wanting to let you know that not all red label sr are counterfeit. The international series of motors from foredoom have red labels. They are the ones for 230-240v like we have here in Australia. They are shown on the foredom website. Cheers

the fitting for the handpieces are diferent. some fit, some dont. i had to buy a real foredom after not knowing and buying a knockoff that didnt run when it arrived. i uad purchased a few different handpieces both foredom and knockoff. seemed random, but some fit, some dont.
I'm starting out with a Ryobi rotary tool. Not too bad, but I am on my third one. Thanks to a warranty, home depot replaced them, no hassles, which is very cool of coarse. I can't wait to upgrade to a Foredom though (Y)

There is 2 sr foredoms on ya amazon store ones more expensive. I don't care about price just not sure which to get. I use 1/8 burs and want to use 1/4 also

been using Dremel and hate the damn thing after replacing 3 times on my fourth and looking to buy a foredom, just not sure on the model and hope there is speed control. all my dremels were crap on speed control, just not enough motor for the flex shaft
light work carving small pieces or large after I cut them to size and cheap Dremel fails, my last Dremel decided to just run full throttle and off. piece of shot......thanks for hope on foredoom how is it holding up?

Good morning, sorry to disturb you but I wanted to ask for your opinion. I wanted to see on Amazon, and I saw that the foredom costs less than half on this site than on the original site. Do you happen to know if it can be reliable? it occurred to me now that I encountered the same problem with another product, I contacted the company itself asking for information on a wood vacuum cleaner, and they said it was available both on their site and on Amazon, and pointed out to check and compare prices. if the company itself in this case has confirmed to me that it is original, albeit not directly, is the foredom on Amazon original in this case too? I think they also sell them on Amazon to save on taxes, or something, that's why they're cheaper. I thank you in advance if you will answer me
I think it's a fake, make sure when u buy a foredom from Amazon it leads rite back to foredom or good chance it's a fake one

Jordy I need help! I broke my square drive inner flex shaft (Foredom SR) and I can't figure out the replacement part. Can you help a 3/2020 subscriber?
If u email foredom or go to the foredom websight u can find the flex shaft, I would say oder more then just one so you have spares
