  • If you are entering the world of power carving for the first time or you've been carving for awhile but are ready to finally jump up to the 1/4 shank burrs this video will help you decide which tool is right for you.
I compare the Foredom 44T hand piece to a Makita GD0603 and a Harbor Freight Hercules die grinder and show the pro's and cons of each tool.
This video covers three very different levels of price points when it comes to purchasing a grinder for your 1/4 burrs, providing options for all budgets. If you have questions on a topic I did not cover please let me know and I would be glad to provide feedback.
Remember when it comes to purchasing a new tool to make the right purchase for you, so take you time and review this video and make sure you grab that right tool for you budget.
Make sure to subscribe so you don't miss out on the my next video, I'll be sharing fun wood carving projects, tutorials and so much more. Thanks so much for joining me on this journey, be sure to check my other social channels, link in bio.
Thank you to Foredom for providing the tools for this video that I used to compare to my die grinders.

Love my foredom. I use my H.50 handpiece a lot with chisel and gouges.

That’s awesome. How did I do comparing it to the die grinders? I tried to be as fair as possible with the tools.

A little confused. First it sounded like you said the TX model has a 1/4 collet but then you said it has a 1/8 & 3/32. So does that model let you use 3 different sized collets?

Correct, you can change to any of the three sizes for the 44T. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

@@nightcarverdesignsyes do you know if there is anything for the foredom rotary tools thats like the Dremel Work Station that would hold the hand piece & turn it into a miniature drill press?

@@Omnivorous1One yes, they have a drill press attachment. Look on their website.
