I agree so much with Dean on editing. With someone of his standard, just keeping editing simple, over in 5 minutes resonates with me.

When I cycled round Scotland I was so happy to see blue skies at Clachtoll beach 😊

There are, on occasions, blue skies up here and I'm pleased you managed to find some. Complete respect to you for cycling around Scotland. That must have been a challenge but incredibly rewarding.

Great podcast. Stunning imagery. I can understand why there are so many talented landscape photographers in the UK, you have stunning locations. Well as we do here in Canada just not on my side of it. I need to move to a coast.

Wonderful images. I am an hour into the video and I can only see "left to right" in one (the castle in the ocean). Am I missing something? Great video BTW. Thank you.

Hi Julian - some of the left to right is more obvious than others although I don't stick rigidly to this process. It is only a guide at the camera stage but is always a process I go through to see if it works on any given shot. I guess it is my default starting point but each shot is different and other compositional ideas may work instead. Thank you for your kind words...very much appreciated.

Hi guys. I'm just wondering if Dean will be doing any RUclips videos in the near future as these seem to be few and far between in the last year or so. I really enjoy watching his videos and the locations visited give me some ideas for my own trips north of the border.

Possibly! I'm not too sure. I think Photographers like Dean prioritize quality over quantity when producing videos. His work is exceptional, and his post-processing skills are distinct to his own style.

Thank you for watching Andrew and taking the time to comment. I will be restarting the channel in the near future - the last 12 months or so I have been busy on other projects - such as workshops and brand collaborations. I thoroughly enjoyed making the YT episodes and I expect to have more time in the near future to dedicate to it, especially as I have employed a full time person to oversee a lot of the back room running of the business which will free up lot more time for me to concentrate on photography and content. I hope the YT channel will continue to add great value to people's experience and inspire them to visit the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. I want to be, not educational or technical but more inspirational and motivational.
