I bought the 3.5 reel. I put it on a Diamondback 10'10" 2 wt rod. I really like the feel and casting of this pair. Very good point about how the reel prevents the fine leader from getting caught in the reel. I am very happy with the craftsmanship of both the Diamondback rod and the Galvan reel. I highly recommend them if you are serious about Euro nymphing. The review was spot on.

Hi Steve, I have a question: does the G.E.N. 3.5 spool fits a normal DT or WF 5 line without backing?

You wont have to worry about line slipping; this reel has a tight tolerance!
PBR is “push button release” not push button retrieve.
