    Excellent video. Thanks for taking the time to make it.. I'm pretty new to the U-Scope. This channel has certainly helped me understand its functionality

    Thank you! It would have been a long time before I found or learned all of these features on my own. Way to fast track! Great job on pace and step by step clarity. None of that "what?" Feeling. Please keep making more videos.

    I think I damaged my u-scope but how can I be sure; It fell and hit the ground, but I also plugged the test cable into the SGEN out, in error of course, don't know what I was thinking that day. The trigger level voltage window is RED almost all the time and the preset waveforms, some are distorted.

    Hi Justin Can the USER presets be deleted without causing a problem with the scope? Thank you for all the info

    • @AESwave
      @AESwave  2 года назад +1

      A preset can be deleted, added, renamed, or moved from any folder when connecting the scope to a computer via USB. It will have no affect on the scope. All presets or stored on the micro SD card.

      @@AESwave thank you Justin the last time I tried to clear a waveform,I deleted the whole card and had to contact AES for a replacement. I wonder what I did wrong then?

    Thanks for the video, learned about some features I wasnt real familiar with. One question though, say you have a single captured screen and zoom in on it by changing time or volts per division. How do scroll over to see the rest of it? Hope I'm asking that correctly and you get what I'm talking about

    • @scottandresen806
      @scottandresen806 6 лет назад +1

      This will be better covered in the third video and the updated manual.
      When the waveform is capture and put in to hold mode, you can use the HPos function to move left and right. When the main menu POS function is active, you can use the arrow keys to scroll through the recorded data after adjusting voltage and time levels.
      The upper right corner will display your horizontal position within the captured waveform.

    • @ColeTanner88
      @ColeTanner88 6 лет назад

      Scott Andresen I thought I had tried using my cursors to "scroll" through the captured waveform and when it got to the edge of the screen it didnt continue and move the waveform. Or are you talking about a different setting?

    • @scottandresen806
      @scottandresen806 6 лет назад +1

      That is correct, the cursors will not scroll through the waveform, they are independent of the data.
      Using version 6.0.1 or older, you can highlight the "Time per division" on the bottom menu and press OK twice. This will open the right menu and bring you to the Horizontal Position function. With Horz Pos highlighted, you can use the left and right arrow keys to view additional data. This can be done both with live and held waveforms. While Horz Pos is highlights, the numbers at the top right of the screen will indicate you distance from the horizontal trigger point.
      Reference the other uScope Basics video at 6:10 secs to see the menu option

      As always, you are welcome to call and talk with us. It may be easier to understand if you have the scope in your hand and I walk you through some of the features.

      Scott Andresen oooh, I understand now! Thanks so much for that information! I was bummed/disappointed thinking the scope was unable to do so. Awesome, awesome info in your videos and thanks so much for your responses!!!

    High quality walk through by Justin Morgan. Other content maybe too basic for this video (or possibly a topic for another) would be the usage of all the accessories that come with the unit through AESwave?

    Why is the battery indicator glitching?

    • @bav-lab3584
      @bav-lab3584 5 лет назад

      driftwhat; since the battery indicator has a set number of “percentages” on the display. It will flash between 75-50% as the battery charge level actually approaches 50%.

    What's the connector on the uscope called? Do they make an adapter to go from that to bnc so I can use my uscope cop paddle probe on my autel scope that has bnc connectors?

    • @bav-lab3584
      @bav-lab3584 6 лет назад

      There is an adapter from micro bnc to female bnc so you can use existing accessories you may already have. Available from aeswave.com or contact them via phone.

      Can you be more specific with your question?

  • @terminaldiagnostics5576
    @terminaldiagnostics5576 5 лет назад

    Can I use my 10:1 Pico attenuator with BNC adaptor. Is that save for the scope

    • @AESwave
      @AESwave  5 лет назад +1

      The Pico attenuator will not cause any damage but it will not read correctly. Voltage will be about 10% higher than actual and it may produce some overshooting of the waveform on fast transitions.
      For the most accurate waveform, the uScope attenuator should be used.

      No Keith ,it just sound so funny that one of best world tech has time to spent for my little problems :)) If you want to spent some time please promote in one of your next videos :when looking for a parasitic draw ,instead of measuring voltage across fuse ,better measure between positive pole of battery and fuse ,longer wire will show greater voltage .Had nt time to check it ,but I think is a great idea :)) Thanks !

      Yes I have the latest firmware update. I did that first before trying to find the pdfs. It is the first time I have updated the tool, I just went to the latest update. Could that be an issue?

    • @bav-lab3584
      @bav-lab3584 5 лет назад +1

      Allan and Rowena after the software update there is also a separate update function that needs to be done to load presets and pdf files

    • @bav-lab3584
      @bav-lab3584 5 лет назад

      Here is a link to the update instructions that includes the web link for both the software updater and the preset updater. You have already done the software it sounds like so you are 50% done. Once you perform the preset update you should have all the latest presets and the related pdf files on your uscope. Make sure you follow the instructions closely. Let me know if you have trouble :-)
