Not everyone has to cry. Your reaction as well triggered tears in my eyes. Dang it made me realize how much I take for granted. Glad you enjoyed your gift!! ❤️❤️
It is amazing seeing adults seeing things for the first time! You are really sweet the way you reacted. A bit apprehensive and almost shy about reacting too much. So happy for you now that you can see how beautiful the world is.
This is so cool! When I saw him see colors for the first time it made me realize that I take my ability to see colors for granted. I need to be more thankful. Thank you for this great video.
whitemannativemind ok ok but let’s take a medical proven mental illness that the people hurt people think wrong things or hurt them self or think they are something they are not do u embrace them? And btw I guess mental illness are natural so hey let’s embrace them all right it’s sick and hypocritical
whitemannativemind You still didn’t answer any of my questions lol I never said I would do physical harm to you and yes there is no cure just like there isn’t any cure for mental illnesses
whitemannativemind yes mental illness has been with us from the start and when you say you while u are talking directly to someone u can expect a miscommunication there and no most not all but most will not harm u and in changing my point of view take a look at mine
Because the colorblind can still distinguish colors, only instead of seeing colors as they are, they distinguish them as different shades (of usually a brown/greenish color), rather than as "color colors"; very subtly, but enough so to be able to name them (like how they're able to tell it's "red", even though they don't actually see it as the big, bright color that we do, but as a more dull, muddy color).
I like this style of video best because you're at home and thinks you know what all the colors should look like, only to be surprised at the difference. I get the feeling the video cut right as you were starting to get misty eyed. Congrats.
The beauty in his innocence looking at the flowers in the bushes. It’s almost how we come in to the world with this level of amazement and awe we have growing up, in everything around us. Somewhere we lose that level of awe in this beautiful world we are privileged to be part of. Those classes bring out the best reaction in someone’s shock at how beautiful things are around them that we unfortunately take for granted. Lovely video, thank you.
This was a great video. Exactly what it should have been. Exploring the environment, keeping his cool, and checking out his familiar every day objects from a his new perspective while his wife guided him along without interfering. I wish there were more like this one.
Oh my god, I love this man and his wife. I felt like I was really there, supporting him, as well, as he explored colors he'd never seen before. :) It was magical seeing him so curious and awestruck. I could tell he was really holding back, which wasn't necessary. When you feel joy, let it all out, buddy.
@@SoreThumbSociety I remember learning that some of them cannot see certain colors. That's why some countries use shapes for signal lights (green. yellow. red). And we learned that it's men who get it mostly because of their YX chromosomes not XX like females.
Think of it as all colours being blurred, where as to us it is defined, we see each leaf where as they see one big blur of the same pale-ish blurred green. As an example.
lol should not stand for laughing out loud but lots of love! I only recognize lol as lots of love and refuse to go along with the crowd! People who see it as laughing out loud and continue to use it as such are moronic slobs who can't think for themselves!! lol everybody!!
yeah i found it slightly disturbing that he didnt cry immediately, like every other person i've seen try those. from young kids to old men, the reaction always seems to be the same.....an overload of the senses and crying possibly of confusion, happiness, and everything else all mixed together.
This reminds me so sharply of taking my adhd meds first time. It was so so different, and finally thinking clearly. DIfference of night and day from previous experience. So freeing and wonderful. I can only imagine for the people trying these out....how wonderful for them.
I'm almost envious! I've seen simulated "color blind" pictures, sort of yellows and browns completely different from what I can see. And suddenly to have that veil removed, it must be amazing. Watching this guy asking, "what color is this?" referring to orange, and seeing that blue isn't purple, it has to be mind boggling. Very "Helen Keller". What a great gift to give.
Taha Oz they have came down considerably from what they cost when they first came out. Call them. Recently chipped in for my gf’s son to get a set. They worked for him.
Ashley thanks for advice and guide. But fortunately neither me nor my kith and kin have that problem. On the other hand, this is a really sad problem for those who have. Thats why I pointed out. I am really happy for your gf's son by the way.
Wow. That's amazing. I love color. The brighter the better. This makes me appreciate being able to see them. We should never take anything for granted.
This video is crazy. After you think about it colorblind people don’t know what objects true colors are. They don’t even realize the little things like the different colors on a flower without the glasses. Amazing
Van Goghs paintings actually have a colour pallet resembling that of people with protanopia. They're utterly dominated by shades of blue and yellow. Its been widely suggested he might've been color blind himself, ironically.
Van Gogh was poor and dependant on cheap and or gifted paint. Blue was a very cheap color, which is also why we have a Blue Phase from Picasso and why some artist societies chose ‚blue‘ in their name (der Blaue Reiter in Germany) to suggest an understanding for the financial struggles of artists. Nothing in Van Goghs whole work suggests him being any kind of color impaired (but you would have to look at more than starry skies and Café scenes ;))
This is so powerful. Something most of us take for granted every single day. To try and imagine what this felt like for the first time is so beyond comprehension. Very cool video. Stoked for you!
Robert Henry I was definitely doubtful at first, I watched a few videos first thinking it was a scam but I would have paid anything to see what normal people see. It has changed the way my brain relays what colors are supposed to look like. Honestly it will blow your mind.
It would be so interesting to have someone hooked up to where you could see the activity in the brain as they see color with these glasses on! I can just imagine all the activity of the different areas of the brain as it tries to make sense of this new reality!
I LOVE seeing these types of videos. God bless you! We as tge human society take way too much for granted. We want more and more and more...withoit truely appreciating and throwing gratefullness foe what we have...thus is beautiful thanks for sharing💜💙💚💛💓🌈🙏
Amazing and he seems like a great guy aswell that’s just excepted it for so long, it’s even more amazing how we just take what we have for granted and to see some get so much excitement from something that seems so normal to others is incredible
This one got me good in the feelers. How many of us who are not colorblind walk around and really take in the colors and details around us. Watching this i was crying happy tears esp because you notice the flowers...and the dogs
I am crying because I just realized how many shades of yellow and each colour there are and how much I take for granted. Thanks for showing me how beautiful everything is again, you've shown me the colours again, for the first time.
The time it takes for them to start working varies. Sometimes up to 30 minutes. The explanation seems to be that it depends on the level of neuroplasticity of the brain, the ability to adjust to changes in signal input.
It was much more relatable to get more than crying.. to see someone experience each color for the first time was very meaningful.

So cool a grown almost middle aged man pointing out colors and not knowing them What a life changing moment Even me watching those colors seemed so much more vivid than if it weren't a video like this
I tried a pair of color blind corrected glasses… No dice. Everything is still black, white, and gray to me. I reckon it’s because my color blindness is part of my rare genetic eye disorder, leading two dystrophy of the redness. Nonetheless, it makes me happy seeing this grown man seeing what colors are really like threw his eyes for the first time. It must have been mesmerizing to say the least.
Not everyone has to cry. Your reaction as well triggered tears in my eyes. Dang it made me realize how much I take for granted. Glad you enjoyed your gift!! ❤️❤️
love this dude, he is so real and genuine. Happy for him.
Be happy my friend, these videos really do remind us how beautiful the world is and can be! We must look after it!
It is amazing seeing adults seeing things for the first time! You are really sweet the way you reacted. A bit apprehensive and almost shy about reacting too much. So happy for you now that you can see how beautiful the world is.
His reaction and the excitement is so awesome! This makes me so happy for him. And it's ok that he didn't cry, I still did 😂😭
This is to teach us, to NEVER take any of the things in life for granted, and to always be grateful for all the blessings we have.!
There is EVERYTHING right with this video!! Every day is thanksgiving, not just one day a year!!
This is so cool! When I saw him see colors for the first time it made me realize that I take my ability to see colors for granted. I need to be more thankful. Thank you for this great video.
I love his reaction when he sees the difference between blue and purple
Tanner's Brown?
Can you imagine going to a paint store with these?
Right after this Video was shot I drove right to Home Depot and walked through the Garden Section, and got lost in the Paint Section.
Sozo best thing. Watch the ocean and sunset
Stella Vision I wish we could see a person put those glasses on in a paint store
Best comment till 2019
@@Dealiciousness ❤👍👍 bet he was blown away.
Yes me too, i watched 100 videos before i received my own pair and these videos helped keep me going. I hope people can see that they really do work.

To the genteel encouraging voice behind the camera
LADY YOU ROCK
One of the greatest videos I've ever seen. So cool!
What a wonderful invention RUclips is, where we can share someones life changing moment. Thank you for allowing us to be part of it.
Anybody who disliked this magical experience has no soul
absolutely correct
I'm sorry but I died when he said "tanner is Brown? 😂
All Day21 (The dog)
I just don't understand how he knows the name of the colors

Valfetine even completely blind people know about colours
Video made me smile. Amazing and thank you to who ever created the glasses.
So cool! His amazement at the flowers was the cutest
I am loving these videos. Seeing everyone see color for the first time makes me so happy
I love this video...it helped to understand just why people get so overwhelmed when they put these on for the first time. 💜
I like this style of video best because you're at home and thinks you know what all the colors should look like, only to be surprised at the difference. I get the feeling the video cut right as you were starting to get misty eyed. Congrats.
Aaron Spencer you are correct, i lost it once i looked up. lol
wait till you go through a tour in the Smarties factory!

This video really hit my heart in such a curious way. ❤ so cool!

Love love love this. How beautiful a moment for that man? Life changing

Brought tears to my eyes..... Fantastic
Very humbling. Sometimes you forget how privileged you are just to be able to see color.
Look at how awesome his reaction is to the things we all take for granted ... God bless his heart!✨🙌✨
Aaaaw superb. "whats that colour?" "its orange"
. "what is creme?"
This is heartwarming...
Bless you all

I didn't realized that colourblind people could see so little detail, but it makes sense. Wow. Mind kind of blown.
mistertee Most colorblind people can see just fine, with only small nuances of deficiency. These glasses make everything look over saturated is all.
@@SoreThumbSociety I remember learning that some of them cannot see certain colors. That's why some countries use shapes for signal lights (green. yellow. red). And we learned that it's men who get it mostly because of their YX chromosomes not XX like females.

I am a graphic designer and that woke me up too. I am going to be so much more concious of rendering details through color.
Females with colorblind fathers have a chance to be tetrachromatographic (meaning they can see colors we can’t)
SO heartwarming
i am so happy for him and his wife !!
This is just amazing! I can’t imagine not being able to see color. These glasses amaze me. I’m so happy for him!!! It makes me cry ❤️
How cool was that? He was like learning his colors as we watched! And for once, someone who didn't cry, lol.
ancientsgate im sure he shed one or two tears after he begged her to stop the video ;-)
Yup, he begin to cry at the end...

yeah
i found it slightly disturbing that he didnt cry immediately, like every other person i've seen try those. from young kids to old men, the reaction always seems to be the same.....an overload of the senses and crying possibly of confusion, happiness, and everything else all mixed together.
This is pretty awesome. It’s mind-blowing, trying to comprehend what he was seeing before. If you happen to see this- I’m happy for you bro.
Yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow...
Yeahh
Funnily yellow is associated with happiness/energetic/positivity/lively
This reminds me so sharply of taking my adhd meds first time. It was so so different, and finally thinking clearly. DIfference of night and day from previous experience. So freeing and wonderful. I can only imagine for the people trying these out....how wonderful for them.
Glad the glasses work for you. Now you know people were telling you the truth about all the colors there are. :)
How wonderful he gets to see them .. thanks for sharing with us..
I had a wee cry for the joy in video.
awwww hes like a little kid!!!
This is the coolest of these. Not as emotional, but more curious.

So happy for this young man! Enjoy your life! God bless❤
Maybe it's time for science to produce contact lens for colorblinds besides glasses. Amazing by the way.
Taha Oz Or surgery with lenses to help them see colors
Lol do you know how expensive that would be?!
+Tiffany Davis If its too expensive and they cannot find a way to make it cheaper then at least people who can afford it could see the colors.
Taha Oz they have came down considerably from what they cost when they first came out. Call them. Recently chipped in for my gf’s son to get a set. They worked for him.

Things we take for granted can make a 30 years old man cry of hapyness and joy.
"is that yellow?" thats just such an awesome experience to see, someone learning the true colors of the worls
What we take for granted , . . . .very emotional.
"I'm not gonna cry."
Few seconds later, a casual "We're done."
Yeah, he was about to cry. :)
ikr
You are a brilliant wife. And your husband is gorgeous. Good job guys. Amazing
It almost makes me wish I was colourblind to get to experience colour anew like this. Great vid.
Hope he’s seen a rainbow 🌈 will make me appreciate today so much more. Thanks for posting
Now go to see a van Gogh exhibition

This makes me remember when I was a kid exploring things. We are jaded as adults. This was beautiful.
I am so happy that you can experience color now. This makes my heart smile.
This fellow is so grateful and analytical too..I see why his lady loves him
This was my favorite video about this glasses. Amazing. 💙☺️ Thank you got sharing.
This makes me more excited to go buy 3 pairs I have a grandfather and two brothers that suffer from color blindness.
The way he just goes around like "what is this color?!" Is so sweet it makes me cry w/ joy
This is so powerful. Something most of us take for granted every single day. To try and imagine what this felt like for the first time is so beyond comprehension. Very cool video. Stoked for you!
Happy for you! Thanks for sharing your color moment. Enjoy!
I have to get these, I always wanted to see a whole rainbow. Apparently, watching these videos, I realize, I am missing out on a whole lot.
Robert Henry I was definitely doubtful at first, I watched a few videos first thinking it was a scam but I would have paid anything to see what normal people see. It has changed the way my brain relays what colors are supposed to look like. Honestly it will blow your mind.
As someone who sees colours, buy them. I think it might be worth it
It would be so interesting to have someone hooked up to where you could see the activity in the brain as they see color with these glasses on! I can just imagine all the activity of the different areas of the brain as it tries to make sense of this new reality!
Wow that's a GREAT suggestion!! These are my favourite videos.. reminding me to appreciate the simple pleasures x
Awww this is cute, the way he's asking 'what is that' is so fun to see him rediscovering things. :D

Awesome. Im so happy for him. Its amazing to him to be able to see in color. He's so excited. Good for you bro.
Such an amazing little discovery these lenses were! So happy for you, congrats!
Welcome to a new world! I love these videos
Those of us who can see normally should not ever take that blessing for granted.

He looks so happy, as a child learning about the world. How beautiful has to be to discover the world again at 30 years old :) So happy for you!
Your experience gave me joy, thank you!
Amazing what the glasses can do. Just goes to show how thankful we should be over the simplest thing like seeing colors.
Thats fucking awesome for him!!!!!! Congrates my man and my you see a real rainbow soon!!!! :)
Him asking what is creme color shows how much we take life and simple things like colors for granted. Love these videos
This video was moving and fascinating to watch. Thanks for sharing!
This is beautiful. Life priority check received. Thank you. ❤️
"What is that? Bright green?" "Yellow"
I am crying because I just realized how many shades of yellow and each colour there are and how much I take for granted.
Thanks for showing me how beautiful everything is again, you've shown me the colours again, for the first time.
Oh, I'd be crying. It's just like getting a new super power.
Omg its so heart melting, I LOVE IT!
This is amazing :) you are like a kid and really excited. I’m happy for you.

I love how he laughs as he up at the sky. I would have done the same, especially on a day like that. You couldn't ask for it any better.
Fantastic buddy thanks for sharing such an awesome experience as seeing true colors for the first time !!!
❤ wonderful. I'm so excited for him. Beautiful 🌺
Welcome to the World of Color! 🙋♀️🥰
I'm thinkin' orange may be his new fave. Priceless reaction, and I thank you for sharing it.

I'm so happy for you! I'd love to tell my cousin about these glasses!
These are great videos. The small things we take for granted
Thank you for sharing this event...Good luck to you both.
Your reaction was great! Crying not needed.
Beautiful, a whole new world!!!!
