This is another hall of fame of The Saturdays. Mollie, Una, Rochelle & Frankie are now hot mommas, and they still rock our lives until today. That's how amazing they're, even though it took us so long to realize it. Long live The Saturdays, SLAY Queens SLAY!!

Will never forget this song. Those days were so amazing. best childhood ever that came with great music. It's so sad how music is not the same anymore.

Jesus! The criticism here is backwards, from a USA perspective.. The music is irresistible pure pop confection that made me instantly happy. This happened repeatedly with SO MANY of their other songs. It was some time before I ever got a look at the group, or the videos. And seeing the videos, it's clear that they FOLLOW the act in support of it because that's how pop music is. They are second rate affairs which simply show the girls singing and randomly having fun, as one does for bare minimal support to big selling pop. Here in the U.S., however, first comes the celebrity and his/her "brand," opinions, itinerary, likes and dislikes, personal life and on and on, along with big-budget videos (naked Miley on a wrecking ball, for example) that make some sort of extreme statement. The music follows from the all-important marketing of the imagine and personality. And truth be known, their music picked up a few guitar riffs or some "urban realness" on it's way back from Sweden, or contrived a controversial message. It is like a chore to retain some knowledge of these brands, for we shall have to have opinions about them. And what of the music? So we get a media diet of their latest controverial lives, messages, affairs, bling and any number of other things to make the brand stick. And what, by contrast, do we have with the Saturdays? We have music composed and arranged for pure pleasure, and the minimum of debauchery, pretensions to ownership of the art form, cultural messaging to keep the brand forefront. No, we see 5 girls in a video that does the bare minimum in support of a dance music release, but we can't even identify the names of these girls, the group brand name is hardly hammering us over the head, and there's no contrived auteurism or personal imprint. In fact, I would go further to say that the summary dismissal by some critics here is precisely because there are none of the media savvy tricks to hook our distinct impression of the group, whether through controversy, pushing limits of taste, clap-trap imaginary artistry the artist at the apex of the virtual corporation of support behind them churn out to make you pay attention. And returning to the Saturdays, it's just joyously contagious music that doesn't push limits of taste or hit us over the head with ostensible talent or attitude by what by any rational economic inventory is the spokesperson in a virtual corporation of its own all working toward helping you form opinions of their American counterparts. I would say in ALL of these cases, anonymous writer and talented session musicians actually created a sound that makes us want to dance, or carries some kind of pretension or salaciousness aimed at keeping the brand in our conversations with each other ("did you see miley naked on the wreccking ball?). There is no more artistic merit in either one, but one is about unabashed joy and the other is conflated with an army of brand strategists aimed at keeping the branded performer foresmost in your mind and in your imagination. The Saturdays music videos do just about the minimum possible to play in British an International charts of pop music, while our "trendsetting" name-brand "singers" in the U.S. are more about aspirational definition of one's self, which is dishonest and makes you the chump. As to talent, if you've watched the videos or concert clips, clearly two of the Saturdays are indeed vocal powerhouses, the others carry the low and high harmony; but look at little mix, and you will find a foursome brought together specifically for the virtuoso complimentary singing style of each member, as demonstrated again and again in acapela renditions of their songs at radio stations all over the world when they go on promo tours. Anonymous manufacturered pop music with some pretty girls who some say can't really sing (but clearly two of them can sing tremendously, and if you look at little mix, this is a group comprised of four very distinct and complimentary vocal talents, as demonstrated by the acapela versions they do at radio stations all over the world. But without big cultural positions to take about our brand choices as aspirational self definition and self expression, it's easier to simply dismiss the sound of the Saturdays as "manufacturered" and buy into the hype, lifestyles and expressionistic videos of the U.S. top performers' keeping in mind that your hearing teams of backers who have spent so much money to "con" you into aspirational consumption of this music as important, chic, and above all, a self defining brand statement that you make. Strip all the hype away, the forced "evolution" of these overvalorized human expressions of greed, and when you give it the listening test for pure fun, it becomes obvious whose got it and who is on a very expensive ride to seasonal obsolescence when the next album comes out. And it's obvious who is being taken for a ride when it's time to shut up and dance. I love it. I had to seek it out as imports to hear it. The criticism of slick and empty rings hollow in comparison with the U.S. pop scene, by magnitudes.
First listened to this in a psychiatric hospital when I had a mental breakdown.. Whenever I would hear this song, it would instantly bring those bad memories back, so now I’m trying to create a better memory of this… I’m so proud of myself for facing this.. anyone going through similar, please don’t give up❤️ you can live a happy life if you fight for it.

TheSaturdaysVEVO Hi, The Saturdays! If you come back to the USA, I would love to do a free photoshoot for the group. My work can be seen at www.albrackenphotography.com. If I actually received a response from this comment...wow!
I have a great penis because on February 20, 2024, I was completely circumcised due to phimosis, which I am proud of. I can happily say that my penis looks like in a pornographic movie, although it is still healing
Ugh I miss them!!!!! Been watching old 5th harmony videos because of Camilla's new album and I just remembered their show and their live performances...their show was SO GOOD
Great song. This is definitely one of the best songs the Saturday's ever did. I'm a big fan of Mollie. She's beautiful, she's talented, I've always admired her, she's a good singer, I've always loved her and I've always had a softspot for her.
Sometimes it's good to share moments, so I want to make RUclips a better space and tell you a couple things about how I lived The Saturdays. Italy, 2010 I guess: on MTV there was a program where Justing Bieber was showing a chart of new talented artists. There were The Saturdays with "If this is love". I couple years later, after I completely forgot that, I saw in a blog about pop music an article about "All fired up", and that's when it all started for real. My ringtone when I was sixteen was "Notorious", I was in love with "Get ready get set" and so on. I've run with some other people a couple fan pages about them for Italy, and it felt amazing. I remember that once I broke up with a guy and I started listening to "Forever is over" for some self-complaining. What a particular conception of "forever", 2 months. I was a romantic teenager. Anyway, I remember myself doing all I could to make my friends listen to The Saturdays but was almost impossible, then in some moments they used to dance to them, and I was super happy, that happens to all the people that love some unknown band and want to make people know more about them. In UK and Ireland The Saturdays were cool, but in Italy we never had italian girlbands as a trend. Maybe for a short period with Lollipop (their song "Down Down Down" is super cool), and Spice Girls were good in charts. Then I was growing up and it started: the reality show about them on E!, Living for the weekend, "What about us" number one in UK. I think I've heard that song twice in Italy's radios, for a random coincidence, but abroad was super cool. That album was amazing, "Not giving up", "Somebody else's life", "Anywhere with you". Then 2014 arrived. In that summer I met my first real love and The Saturdays were sharing their Greatest Hits, with "What are you waiting for?". There were two other new songs in that album, but they've never become singles. Then... nothing. They just went to a hiatus and started their solo careers. Una, Mollie and Vanessa are still into music, while Rochelle and Frankie are more into tv shows. It's fine, but tonight coming back on this video after some time I felt a little nostalgic thinking about how five girls really inspired me in music, in choices, in many things. If they also gave you something, a good memory, feel free to share it here. P.S. "Back to you" from Mollie King is a masterpiece. Support her and all of them!

What I want to know is, how can people dislike this song?!?!? It is the best song that The Saturdays have probably sung in their entire career!
I suppose it's all down to personal taste..I love it, but I love Not Giving Up so much more than this :D
It`s good but there`s more this good and even better music.

They were so underrated. So sad they never really took off (the Sean Paul version of this song was their only No. 1 hit).
I don't know why we didn't hear more of this song on the radio. This song is much better than a lot of the mainstream music.

Oh why are we are waiting so long, I'm suffocating

Time we get together

I like the way you tease me
But let's just make this easy
Put me in control
We can switch roles
And I take the lead
You're so far behind me
You know what I need
I'm not gonna stop
Whatever the weather
We gon' be better together
So what's up baby?
What about us?
'Cause I've been watchin' and waitin'
Why don't you give it or take it?
So what's up baby?

I have a great penis because on February 20, 2024, I was completely circumcised due to phimosis, which I am proud of. I can happily say that my penis looks like in a pornographic movie, although it is still healing

What a fantastic by the beautiful the Saturday’s!
I love it so so much, so many memories.. and I got the "oh why are we are waiting so long I'm suffocating" part stuck in my head forever
2024 and this song still gives me all the good feels
Great song. This is definitely one of the best songs the Saturday's ever did. I'm a big fan of Mollie. She's beautiful, she's talented, I've always admired her, she's a good singer, I've always loved her and I've always had a softspot for her.
If this is the best song they ever did, then I'm not even going to bother trying to find and listen to any other songs of theirs. This was terrible.
Literally ever since 2009, The Saturdays have been so underrated! They are so TALENTED! They need to reunite!!!!!
This brings back so many memories 💛💕🌸

you probably heard one of their songs, but didnt know who they were
They should've change their label, I'm sure they would've been big
I think some of them wanted to settle down and start families
I remember being so happy for them when this gave them their long awaited and well deserved number 1.

Ahh still listening in 2017 28 November 😅😭😭😭💕💍
