- For this UV video, the subject is illuminated directly by UV emitting lamps . UV filter is placed on the lens, which allows ultraviolet light to pass and which absorbs or blocks all visible and infrared light. UV filters are made from special colored glass and may be coated or sandwiched with other filter glass to aid in blocking unwanted wavelengths.
I worked on this video with the talented IR and UV Photographer Pierre-Louis Ferrer who's work you can admire here : www.plferrer.photos

It's interesting how varied their appearances are under UV light. The pineapple really stands out due to its strong color contrasting with the dull exterior.
You eat the skin of the pineapple?
i regreted it just after :))
They all seem to absorb UV, only a few of them reflect it. Pineapple for example reflects UV, that's why it appears bluish purple.
If I was a animal and had those eyes, would be all up in that pineapple.
Ever look toward the sky with that awesome camera? wonder what it would see?
it would have been cool if you showed some sort of UV spectrum though like getting a near UV black light and then a UVB reptile light and then one of those germicidal UVC radiation lamps then in still pictures and then recombine the gray scale images as RGB from lowest energy to highest energy
When it's black, it is because of the melanin.
So, you are saying that sunscreen contains melanin?
@LV GOD here7And yet suncreen is white. Do they use bleach?
@LV GOD here7 And where is all the corn?
@LV GOD here7 Me want food!
beautiful work... where can I buy a filter for UV photography? what make and model
do you recommend?
Man, that music brings back memories.
Man, Did you do that video with a normal camera or you converted it on Uv spectrum?? did you axange the hotmirror?
I have a IR external filter with I set in front of the lens, but I can't do Good pictures with short exposition...
I have tryed do videos but with 30 frames per second is impossible to do good quality videos...
I am trying to find out that Filter to buy, I would like to do portrait pictures, but i am a quite afraid to fail, cause i bealive that it can do just by long exposition...
the camera was modified to get the UV
I wonder if the dark fruit in the UV light are good at protecting us from the sun.
Nice video. What lens did you use?
So if I rub a pineapple on my face it will reflect UV? Maybe becayze of the bromelin ?
what does the purple color referance , what does it mean ?
Bien joué! Vraiment intéressant!
Amazing !!
Why are we ignoring the way he ate the pineapple
you are the man!
Cool its as if fruit were potions
Can you make ghost explorations with these cameras please
i made a video about ghosts on my channel, if you want to check
Where can i buy an UV camera ?
Taste in Paris
Usually you would have to get a regular camera converted. Some companies, like Lifepixel, do conversions to UV as well as Infrared and full spectrum.
The old Sigma DSLRs can be converted to UV/IR/Full Spectrum just by replacing a filter that is a separate piece rather than a coating on the sensor.
It is not possible to get this kind of UV color with a Sigma camera. They can do UV b&w imaging.
Yea experiments!
Any body can tell me please where can I find the lens. Very important
It's not about the lens it's about the camera! Your camera like your eyes sees colour. Your eyes do not see UV just like your camera doesn't. But this camera Sees UV but not colour. So you'll be able to get images even in complete darkness but where there is UV
Nice video! I liked the lime
What song did you use?
Far Away by MK2 from the youtube audio Library
Breaking news: blue light makes things look blue.
Can you rub it on your skin and see if it makes your skin darker???
Kiwi be like idunno man just let me be
Try wanted Mellon and mango pleasr
what about fruits with infrared camera
We did a video about that, check " kiwi infrared"
@@MathieuStern I've searched it and it just appears the kiwi fruit under UV light
Kiwi looks the same
fruits and vegs look way better in our perception..all looks black and purple.... boring
Melanin
Black and purple are fantastic colors, but too much of anything can get old.
