I'm in Chesapeake and really appreciate you sharing your planting schedule. Been struggling with what to plant, when to start and what grows in the shade in sandy soil. Thanks again for such a helpful video.
Glad I ran across your channel. I'm in zone 7B in NW Alabama. This will be my first fall garden and I have been trying to find out what I can plant. You answered some of my questions. I thank you so much. God Bless.
I'm in Stockholm - Sweden and I think I'm zone 7 - I'm originally from Italy and gardening is a completely different ball game here struggling to understand what to plant and when - I was looking for something like your schedule - in Italy you feel like an amazing gardener, you just drop some sweets and magic happes - in Sweden is a constant struggle and I feel so helpless when I lose my plants 😊😊😊
Thank you for sharing the Doc spreadsheet. I'm more of a visual also. I'm in 8a Hampton Va and getting my new gardenbeds ready for my fall veggies. My first Fall garden, cabbage, brussel sprouts, broccoli and broccolini.
New subscriber here. So glad I found your videos! I’m in zone 7b in VA as well and I’m still trying to adjust to gardening in clay (we’re from Long Island, NY which is sandy soil). We don’t have much useable ground as we live on a sloped third of an acre, but we are fighting the good fight! Love your videos and would love to see a pickling video! Thanks for the google doc and for all you do!
I do a lot of raised bed gardening here and just build the soil up. Also I put in a no till garden this year. Could be another option. Either way best of luck and tha js for watching!
Got a nice garden pretty tomatoes I see you got red red okra saved the seeds out of mine everything I grow I take the seeds and save them keeps me from having to buy I live here in West Texas today is going to be 80°but we got to wait till the last when do you suggest putting my seeds in
Thanks so much for the schedule! You may have told us, but I missed it, when is your 1st frost date? We here in NW Ga. are in the same zone, but may have different frost dates that could change starting & planting out dates. Thanks again and happy gardening!
I am new to gardening in Mississippi zone 7b and this is the first year I will be trying to grow a fall garden. I planted some kale, cabbage, collards, and broccoli seeds in August. The seeds are in 4 oz. Styrofoam cups and looking okay. I am planning to pick up some garlic from the grocery later this week. However, I am worried about the frosty days and protecting the garden. Thoughts?
The good thing about the plants you listed is they can all handle frost! In fact some taste even better after a light frost. You may want to cover if there is an extended freeze in your area, but it's not uncommon to have collards and those you have mentioned to grow all through the winter even through snowing conditions!
They are doing fine. We keep them in a fully shaded area. It has been quite hot, but they come from lines that have lived in VA for years. I just make sure to top off water everyday. (Sometimes 2x a day)
Great video -- except for the last 3 minutes where we have to stare at your junk! I guess if you've got it, flaunt it. Seriously, though, the planner is helpful. How's your butterbush winter squash growing, by the way? Do you stake them? I'm growing 3 for the first time, and I'm not sure what to do.
Hey man. I am actually off of social media due to many reasons lol. But would like to get in contact with you about some different ideas and different ways we can pick each other brains about the upcoming grow season. Not really sure how to send a direct message but would like to have a conversation. I live in Spotsylvania County Va. - Thanks man. Would like to hear from you.

How are your rabbits doing in the heat? We are moving to Courtland and are planning on rabbits, but I am worried about the heat.
They are doing fine. We keep them in a fully shaded area. It has been quite hot, but they come from lines that have lived in VA for years. I just make sure to top off water everyday. (Sometimes 2x a day)
@@virginiagraceliving thanks! It’s good to hear from “boots on the ground”.
I'm in the Chesapeake area. Can I still plant?
Definitely! Probably not seeds, but transplants.
