De-Icing Airplane at Toronto Airport due to Extreme Cold Weather delays Flights
Our flight was delayed to to extreme cold weather and ice storm in Toronto. We had to wait for our Airplain de-ice at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The crew sprayed some chemicals on airplain to remove ice from air plane.

I guess you in Europe, Africa, South America, Australia, New Zealand, etc. are not familiar with the de-icing process for airplanes. Maybe you should involve yourselves in it because that is the way it will be for the future.

Maybe in European, African, Central and South American, Asian countries you don't have to worry about these extreme temperatures but we do.

What's fascinating is that, there is no driver in the truck, the guy who does the deicing also drives the truck from above and you could see the steering wheel move on its own.

Deicing is very important you people. I don't understand how you can not agree to the deicing procedure.

To be honest, I have not seen anybody complaining about deicing. With today's weather in Toronto - I'm sue deicing crew will do their best for every plain.

It looks like rain but it is a freezing rain and therefore, de-icing of the airplane is required.
