Bali Rahayu Homestay near Munduk, Bali.
Beautiful views of the mountains. lovely breakfast made to order from a set menu with beautifulf mountain view. Friendly staff.
Santhika Bed & Breakfast in Lovina Beach, Bali.
Welcome massage with fruit plate and sweet tea. very relaxing little neighborhood location though youd think you were in a private little resort. Nice breakfast made to order from a set menu. they also have a couple sister bars and restaurants nearby which you get a discount at (where I did the firespinning) Funkyplace Beach Bar
Ubud Sawah Homestay in the Ubud Hills, Bali.
Beautiful little spot surrounded by rice patties in the hills above Ubud. This was my favorite accomodation and I even extended a couple nights. Nice breakfast made to order from a set menu. I also ate dinner or lunch here a few times as the food was really good and the owner was an Indonesian man and a Thai woman so I was grateful for the lovely thai food. 15-20 minutes from the center of town although Ubud was mobbed with tourists fort the holiday season which just made me all the more grateful to be outside of town in the lovely farmlands in the hills.
The waterfalls are Labuhan Kebo, Melanting and Tibumana waterfalls.
The Mother Temple or Pura Besakih is the largest and most important Hindu temple complex on the island of Bali and it sits on the side of Mount Agung, the highest and Holiest Volcano on Bali. Its over a thousand years old and has survived at least one eruption.
I had a really nice time in Bali although it was just way too crowded with tourists for my liking. But Indonesia has over 15,000 islands with something like 6000 of them being populated. It is also the 4th most populated country in the world right behind the USA. I would love to go back and visit another island of Indonesia! One that is way less crowded but still offers good food and beautiful nature.
