This song is about ketamine, when they played it at Sanremo, the cheesy and conservative italian song contest, the public booed them and in response Molko showed the finger and throw away the guitar, great band
I'm Italian too, but i'll write English in order to let everybody understand: lil time ago i saw here on You Tube the video of Placebo performing in our fucked up national "top" musical event. I've been particularly impressed by a fat, sly guy in the public, a pig in a suite, grunting some insult to the band, or personally to Molko, and it reminded me one more time how low are the levels reached by our once ingenious country, the "cradle of saints and poets", land of inventors and stylists, heroes and high grade soccer players, with the best sex and best food in the world - now, a shithole full of dickheads, also thanks to various foreigner interests - without denying our own responsabilities. I'm not a nationalist, but i love my country, and it feels my heart of bitterness. And in general, seeing a great potential being flushed down the drain is an insult to Life Herself!!! Be well, dear compatriot.
When they came to the festival of Sanremo, the public didn't appreciate the Placebo, because of the reaction of the singer, after the esibition of "Special K", who started to hurt his guitar against an acustic speaker, with a lot of violence. Indipendently of the exibition of Sanremo, this Song is very funny 😉😉😉 p.s. I'm italian
I saw that episode in Sanremo and I thought that Molko war right, it is terrible to play good music in front of the wrong audience, but maybe he should just laugh in front of them and be like Dante: Non ti curar di loro ma guarda e passa! (tanto erano palesemente tutti ignavi). Anyway... Great song! ;-)

It's a good song but I'd argue that his "special K" is an entirely different drug from the ketamine I get. If you removed the "special K" from the lyrics then ketamine would be my last guess at what drug he's referring to.
After growing older and falling in love with occasional recreational ketamine use, coming back to this song 15 years after I first heard it, it’s somehow even more amazing
This video is fucken awesome!! my favorite Placebo song for sure. That little one bar pause before the first chorus makes me lose my mind every time. Amazing tune, amazing video

OMG
Exactly!
Images And illusions wow. well done! never noticed that
Gravity, turning saints into the sea... lol
that song came before Mr Brightside
This song is like Foo Fighters and The Killers combined!
I have to have Ketamine infusions for my chronic pain and this is my theme song. I fucking love this song 💜
Quetamina🎉
Where can I get ketamine infusions??
@@gemmascotland899 Private doctor if you're in Scotland. Not cheap though.
It's a good song but I'd argue that his "special K" is an entirely different drug from the ketamine I get. If you removed the "special K" from the lyrics then ketamine would be my last guess at what drug he's referring to.
God I love this so much. Some K and this song and your in heaven.
One of my favourite songs.
After growing older and falling in love with occasional recreational ketamine use, coming back to this song 15 years after I first heard it, it’s somehow even more amazing
On a Placebo binge, and it's goooood!!
this song really does describe K. I always said it was like walking on the moon.
But not "Special K". That is a breakfast cereal. God I am old :-D
This video is fucken awesome!! my favorite Placebo song for sure. That little one bar pause before the first chorus makes me lose my mind every time. Amazing tune, amazing video
Magic!
no me canso de escuchar a este monstruo de la musica
Placebo are one of the few bands I've never gone off... I've liked them from an early festival appearance where they were described as "Anglo / Swedish narco rock" and that intrigued me... They had no product out (in UK)... I've loved them since.....
Ouvir placebo me faz voltar na minha infância....saudades
Oh My God...... Remember beautiful Times.......
