I just found your channel today after already having purchased like 60 foam panels and I already opened them but haven’t installed them yet. 😭😭😭 I need them because the living room tv is right on the the other side of the wall that is shared with my stream room, and my dads deaf so he blasts the tv and I need it to not show up on stream. luckily my dad has a lot of silicone caulking in his workshop atleast, but now I gotta start from scratch on my plans. Glad I haven’t installed anything yet. This video helps me so much.
Search for "Hearing impaired TV speaker" on whatever you use to online shop, as I'm sure the reduction of sound coming from the actual TV through the wall will help you as much as anything else you can do.
Ok great video but one criticism is that the "sound maze" solution for sound insulating HVAC vents will create resistance on the system and possibly clog if your filter isnt working properly. Its dicey to give people on their vents, it could really mess up their home. You have to look at the overall system. Once again, I loved this video and I love your work; just giving my 2 cents.
I run a 60gal tank air compressor in my 2 car garage with a automatic roll up door style. I do not want to be an annoying neighbor and would like to do my best to somehow make a pvc frame on casters with sound deadening panels to go around my compressor. I would also like to somehow panel my garage dood with something to stop sound from going outside. Please help, what can you recommend?
I want sound proof a room . I'm taking out the dry wall on 2 walls " hallway $living room " Im planing on Rockwool and 5/8 drywall. Would a plastic between the insulation and drywall help if using the the soundproof caulking help . Mostly trying to keep more voice /tv noise down . Would a rubber underlay between 2 sheets a drywall work to deaden sound like the green glue ?
Love your channel and insight.you mention drywall .Im looking to soundproof a 11 wide x 9 foot high wall by adding dynamat and acoustic felt panels over my drywall .Will this do any soundproofing?
Any suggestions to dampen the sound of voices? I have a duplex and I share a common wall down the center with my tenant. The current one, I hear when he's on the phone. He uses speaker phone and I hear the other person too. His normal daily activity, I hear minimally. Anything I can put on the existing walls that will look decorative, or maybe something I can paint? I bought 12x12 soundproofing tiles that I'm planning to use in the bedroom. Not the entire wall, but make a headboard out them. No idea if it will really do anything. Thank you.
Hello. Im going to start a project to soundproof my windows. But since i dont have mass vinyl in my country and delivery options are too expensive due to the weight. Im thinking of using vinyl adhesive floor as replacement option to cover the structure. Wish me luck!
Hello can you help. I'm in a house where all the sounds from inside the house coming into the bedroom Should I sound proof/reduce the walls inside the bedroom or on the outside of those walls(dining area and entry way) I just want it quiet when I'm in my bedroom trying to get a moment peace. I have sensory processing issues I hope you reply Thank you
add a layer of 5/8" drywall to the bedroom. if its still to loud then you need to do the same from the noisy rooms. failing that take all the drywall off the walls fill the walls with Rockwool or insulation to save some money an replace the walls with 2x 5/8" drywall. if its still to loud then you need to move
Sir would you please help me ? What would you recommend when i want to decrease sound coming from the outside of the room - 1 wall made from bricks but it is thin. what to place outside or inside to decrease the noise from outside ? and cover the whole wall and doors ?
I wish you would have shown a close up of the weather strip. I'm not sure exactly what kind you used. When I think whether strip I imagine the balck foam but I imagine you wouldn't be talking about that kind.
Links to ALL products I recommend in the description of this video!

It doesn't help you!!!! It's just 50 random amazon affiliate links for crap that won't make much difference.
Thanks for the insider info 👌👏

Great point. The sound maze is for above door air vent type vents and not forced air vents. I’ll be more clear in future videos about that.

Please clarify the names of the pipe noise reducing insulation tape wraps you show near the end of your video. Thanks!

If this is between two layers of drywall, it should work. Mass Loaded Vinyl would work better than dynamat for this application.

Hey the link doesn't have the products you mentioned
Thanks! I’ll add them in the description now! I just started the storefront.

There’s a link in the description of the video of the weather strip I used on my door which works well.

Are you not capable of giving information that you dont profit from?
I cannot find drywall in amazon anywhere (with the link too). And no featured offers available on mass loaded vinyl from that link.
It depends on your location if it's available. Amazon doesn't sell drywall to most places unfortunately.
I have a double panes sliding door facing road noise can you please advise how I can reduce noise coming in?
