My three rods from raid Japan can cover 90% of bass fishing techniques and that’s why I love them. I’m primarily a bank guy so it’s hard to carry more than 3 rods along with all my other gear.

I live in south Louisiana, I have a frog, punching set up, light Texas rig, chatter bait, drop shot, 1/2oz jig and a small top water all on the front deck every trip, because the habitat can be so diverse in a short stretch.
That’s no lie. Places like Lacassine pool.
I run this all year every time.

interesting....I have been so called "junk fishing" since I started fishing in the 80s and I honestly thought everyone fishes this way.
I too recently found out about this idea of "junk' fishing after decades of fishing. I call it matching the current conditions.

You’re not alone!!!! When I go my deck is covered with rods. Don’t want to take the time to tie on a different Bait just pick up the rod and throw it!! For instance, I have a tournament on Saturday have 14 rods on the deck, six in a rod locker and four spinning rods and the other rod locker! LMAO
Lately I’ve been catching on Texas rig with a senco and a craw, chatter bait, spinner bait, top water poppers, and a weightless fluke. I usually have 3 rods set up and take all 3.
I need to tow a 2nd boat to fit all the rods i like to bring along evey trip 😳

Thanks for another great video. I start off with bout six rods on the deck. I fish a variety until I get catch a couple fish. Then I have bad habit of thinking I have a start to a pattern and will keep fishing those 1 or 2 baits. Thanks for reminding me I need to switch it up this time of year as I go.
Chatterbaits were hot last month. This month it's been the original Heddon Zara Spook. Landed my PG largemouth two weeks ago on the Spook.
(Fun Fact) Lake Shituge got its name from a guy hanging his butt over the gunwale and taking a dump in the lake. That’s the sound he heard when it 💩 hit the water
Great point Tyler! No need to feel sorry. THEE best bass fishermen are masters at several techniques. This is a good time to practice these. Focus on what your lures are doing and be confident! Good fishing all!
When I used one rod I earned the nickname Johnny Tie-on because I was always switching lures lol.
East Texas here...I have 5 rods set up...frog, Texas rig 10" worm, swimjig(or flipping jig), spinnerbait
I am the king of junk fishing, primarily due to the fact im impatient fishing one bait lol fully support doing this all yesr long.
I did have a request for a future video. Something along the lines of "low lake level fishing". Im currently in the situation where i have a tournament on a few lakes that are experiencing extremely low lake levels (I.E. Berlin in NE Ohio). Im not really sure what to do being a shallow water fisherman, and all my spots are out of the water. Just something to consider.

Dang. Wish I knew you were on Chatuge. Thats one of my two home lakes. Chatuge definitely has great brush pile fishing. I was there Sunday fishing the brush piles.

Ya know Tyler I think too many rods really hurts me cuz I can’t stick with 1 thing long enough. If I can get a few bites early on I do better.some days it pays off trying the whole tavklebox tho! Preciate ya

I junk fish all the time it is my style mainly unless I know for sure that one rig is just ripping them😮
it’s confusing that there a term for this i would just call it adjusting to conditions and what bass are telling you it’s crazy this has a name as a “method” of fishing i “junk fish” all the time trying to find fish or whenever the bite slows
Tyler, I'm an old-timer and have watched your channel for quite some time. You have a lot to offer, but you often get in your own way.
Your presentation style needs help. I encourage you to go back and watch some of your videos over the last several years. Since this is your chosen professional platform, presentation is everything. "With that being said" ( a phrase you use all too often ), if you can afford an IKon, you might consider engaging with a presentation coach.
Still think you have lots to offer, but am having some trouble wanting to watch future videos.
