1st step worked, saved me buying a new remote. Don’t think I waited 60 seconds the first time just counted to 60 so tried again and made sure I waited at least 60 seconds and hey presto, it worked. Thank you so much.

Perfect! My neighbor called for help with her Panasonic tv/remote. She hit a couple of the numbers buttons, then the TV would not work. My first guess was batteries, but she had already changed batteries. Since the large and heavy console holding the TV would have to be moved to unplug TV, I opted to check the buttons first. Found white crud spilled and dried on the "0 and -" buttons. "0" was one of the buttons she pushed, and sure enough, it was now stuck in the down position. A minute or so of cleaning it out with a thin toothpick and it was good to go. I didn't notice the spill on the buttons until l tried punching each button as you suggested. Thanks so much! Made me look like a hero. 😆
and bingo the bloody remote worked, 2 weeks of trying everything on my remote and all I needed to do was turn the TV off completely.. I heard the guys from " it crowd " in my head." Have you turned it off and on?" Cheers
Must say a had doubt. It's the second time i had the same problem. My Panasonic is pretty new, but those 60 seconds turned the table and I'm now in charge again Thank you, sir
I think I might be the only comment here that none of the tips worked for 😭 hard reset, pulling the plug, batteries out, button pushing, new batteries and everything, just had to bite the bullet and buy a new remote which worked instantly ( thank god ) but cool video nonetheless and will definitely try the tips again one day if another remote stops working! Almost everyone I know has these Panasonic tv's lol
On the Blue Ray Player with the unit plugged in Press and Hold the Power and the Door Open on the Unit (not the remote) for 10 sec or you hear 3 beeps. as long as the unit is plugged it it will stay working with the remote but if you unplug it you will have to reprogram it again using these steps.
Wish i could take my controller (that came with Panasonic DMR-EX86) apart to clear dust/dirt from arount the buttons.. I have 2 screws in it, and 2 i think are studs that prevent me from seperating the case. I did use Isopropyl rubbing liqiud arount tge button's., this has freed it up better and works more so now..
I just want to know how to disassemble my 2008 remote. The selection button stopped working. Now I'm stuck on fm radio... I don't even listen to the radio. Lol I removed the two screws from near the batteries but it seems something else is still holding it together.
With my JZ2000 the remote 7out of 10 times it keeps pressing the button i pressed as last or does nothing. Annoying and not expected this coming from high end Panasonic TV
What I found ironic is that both Satellite and Actual Panasonic remotes volume and mute buttons will turn the tv off. However Firestick remote is the only one that the Volume/Mute buttons do work.
This is driving me crazy . The tv will turn on using the remote - nothing else responds -The green led on the tv DOES flash in response to EVERY button I push ON The remote- but nothing actually happens. On the back edge of the tv ONLY THE POWER ON OF BUTTON WORKS -The rest of the buttons on the back of the tv do not work -the green led on the tv dose NOT flash when I push them . None of the tips in this vid helped Any other thoughts would be appreciated- fortunately the Foxtel remote allows us to watch fox but we can’t USE the tv or tv remote AV button to switch to the DVD player or game consoles . We have to swap the HDMI cable over to the next port to use the other device’s.
sometimes for me the buttons dont work so i just keep the remote still and press a button slowly at a time but if youtube is all you want to watch sometimes u should cast it from ur phone or laptop.
This is stupid, the remote has infrared and Bluetooth communication as there's a pairing step for remote as well, you can check the infrared by pressing remote while aimed at a mobile phone that is in camera mode, point it at the camera while pressing any button, if you see the light on the mobile screen flashing, the remote or batteries is not the issue, it's a malfunction in the TV, Panasonic won't admit this, one minute the TV will respond to the remote then the next minute it just simply don't obey the remote commands. This resetting is a waste of time. Things on TV happen so quick, by the time you're finished messing around with remote, the TV show or whatever is finish too.

They are not high end. They are junk.

Go to Firestick settings -> Equipment control - Change TV or Add New TV.
