This is so freakin important. I think that being able to be alone is one of the most main things, the fact that you are able to enjoy your own company is precious. At the end of the day the only person you can really rely on is you and the fact that you are so happy being alone doesn’t mean you are lonely but means that you are mature and aware of your own potential. I love you for what you said, you always make me feel better, thank you so much 🥺❤️
Well said 👏🏽💜
Thank you for this 🥺 this made me smile, thank you for being here ❤
@@HannahElise always by your side 🥺
i need to do more alone time adventures. it is so important to be ok being alone!!
Couldn’t agree more! Such a good way to detach from the chaos of the world ❤
Agreed!!! They don't have to be big adventures to make a difference :)
@@khalilahd. exactly, get away from everything
Hi.... i am your subscriber from India.... i watch your vlog and like it..... please reply me by hiiii
i love that you said "it takes confidence and builds confidence" loved it
LOL when I was editing I was like damn I popped off with that
As someone who does a lot of things on my own (not always by choice but that's life 🤷♀️) this video gives me so much comfort and confidence ❤️
I can keep you company! 😊
Same!
same on the "not always by choice" 😂
I absolutely love being alone too, and it’s something I wish I’d learned when I was younger. You experience things so differently alone versus with other people, especially if you feel responsible for other people’s enjoyment and needs. I find that I remember my experiences much more vividly when I’m alone than when I’m with someone else, and my solo vacations especially stand out as precious memories I’ll cherish forever. So glad you’re encouraging other young women (and maybe older women too!) to do what they want when they want to, and exist for themselves.
I agree with everything you said - especially the part about feeling responsible for other people's enjoyment (which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it definitely changes how YOU experience the situation)! Existing for yourself is so important ❤
I didn't realize how important alone time is until after college. I regret not doing it sooner, but this is the most important thing I've done for my mental health in my late 20's. Thanks for inspiring others to do the same!
I was kinda forced into alone time in college bc I was so lonely LOL so I def think that has helped me get to where I am now
Hi Hannah, I’m a French girl who’s watching your videos for a long time now and I usually save them for a cosy moment or a break that I want to take because it is genuine and very nice content to watch. I never commented one of your videos before, but I just wanted to thank you for this one, it came at the perfect time because today I tried to reflect a lot on how brave I was to do all the things that I’m doing on my own. I am now travelling all over Norway, constantly adapting to places and people and I am very proud I pushed myself to leave France alone (3rd time), because as you said, I don’t want to wait for people availabilities, but it is hard to be on our own. So thank you for reminding the importance of enjoying our own company.
I used to be afraid of doing things on my own but the older I’ve gotten the more I’ve fallen in love with self discovery and I’m so happy you’re doing the same ❤
!!!!!! I was also afraid but have gotten more comfortable with age :)
Yes me too! I used to be afraid of doing things alone when I was younger. But as I grew more mature in my mindset and older I learned that its okay and important to learn to enjoy your own company! Self discovery comes with a LOT of new things, and if you're with someone, half of my mind is always set on making sure they enjoy their time, and comprising on things because the other person wants to go see and do different things! >> Ive learned so much stuff about myself that I dont think I could have learned if I wasn't out alone at the time, enjoying my time and making self discovery :')
I went to a concert alone last night & spent the day watching your videos for confidence. Hearing you talk about a similar experience & your freedom to do things alone is exactly what I needed to hear.
This made me tear up. I'm so proud of you for stepping out of your comfort zone & accomplishing this!
i feel like hannah is entering a new era of her life and i'm here for it tbh
This is such a homely vlog, I feel best on my own and it makes me feel normal seeing you thrive on your own as well 🥹🫶🏼
I also feel rlly good on my own, probably bc I don't have to overthink how other people are perceiving me / how my vibe is 😂 I can just BE.
Doing things alone is honestly so therapeutic. I have been able to know myself better and appreciate my own company more. I think you are absolutely right--it takes confidence but also creates more confidence.
thank you for sharing with us your time being alone! definitely believe that alone time in your 20s is extremely important to learn how to love yourself. also I am loving these different shots you've been doing in your videos recently, it captures the raw moment through your perspective. hope you have a great week Hannah! lots of love xo🤍
love you bestie queen! thank you for being my hype woman always. have a fabulous week ❤
Watching this vlog on a rainy fall day like this is all I needed❤
Love this video! I’m an only child so i grew up doing this by myself and so many people don’t get it. I believe it’s crucial for your mental health to learn to enjoy being alone and lose the embarrassment about it!
Very much agree!
I love your videos! I also moved to NYC about a year ago. I love watching your videos and seeing your experiences in the city and creating a new life here
i just graduated and moved into a studio apartment in chicago & have had a lot more alone time too. been really relating to your videos, especially this one
I love being alone. It’s easier than being with other people. Silence is cleansing and makes me more patient.
Hard agree.
i love when i do things alone! like organizing!! it’s so fun! it’s a breather to not have people around. ur so cute. i really am dependent on my best friend, like they have been there for me every single day. don’t get me wrong i love alone time but i love being around my second family. but it is important to be alone. ily bestie
Going to a concert on my own has become my favorite solo activity! It’s like having a date night with yourself - dressing up, getting dinner/a drink, going and vibing with the crowd and the music. It can be a really centering, introspective time and I wouldn’t trade it for the world
I can so much relate to this. Being alone can feel so weird. But after all, it's also great to do what you want to do. Going to the park and sitting on the bench exactly how long you want. Or going to coffee shop. Eating out like a restaurant can feel weird. Because usually with other people, you might sit there for 2 hours and just talk and drink. But alone, it kinda feels strange to just sit there after you finished the meal. Totally weird, because it doesn't feel awkward in a coffee shop.
I agree!! Interesting point that it doesn't feel weird to just sit and loiter in a coffee shop, but it does at a restaurant. I definitely felt that while I was filming this vlog
Seeing a movie by yourself is honestly one of the best experiences. I love being able to do and see what I want. Spending time alone is good for you. You can expect to find happiness from other people if you can’t make yourself happy
Yesterday it was 75 outside where I'm from (which is rare for the end of October) and I knew I had to soak it all in before the cold comes by. I was planning on just spending my Saturday alone at home and doing nothing but scroll on my phone for hours, but instead I went out to my local park just like you Hannah and got some lunch and journaled by myself with other people around me that were either alone or with others. I feel so connected to this video and taking it as a sign that being alone and doing things alone is never a bad thing. Taking yourself out to do things and not waiting around for others is so therapeutic. Love you Hannah!!
i absolutely loved this video. the switch from your other lovely content that gets into personal matters okay to accept. i have difficultly learning to be comfortable by myself and always want to do things with others but never ask to do this. so this is like a step in the right direction for me. learning to be comfy and enjoy self quality time is now becoming something so important to my knowledge. i love how you explain that it’s understandable to feel that way but not everything requires others to be done. it’s mainly you yourself and you. so thank you hannah for giving me more context of self love and appreciation. i love this video, and you so so much and i can’t wait for your next one.
I love YOU so so much. Thank you for being here & I'm glad you resonated with this :) it can be scary to step out of your comfort zone and do things alone but it is so valuable
Honestly dates by yourself are so underrated! Such a fun vlog 🧡
So true! Can't wait to do more of them :)
It's funny bc I'm actually going to be living alone for the first time in my life (I'm 23) for like 2 weeks. I've always liked my own company. So I'm weirdly excited about it. I resonate with you so much and how you talked about loving spending time alone at home. I want to go spend some time alone at like a cafe or maybe get dinner on my own (I did this the other day where I just got some food and sat near the dam square in Amsterdam on my own. It was weird at first but it got better eventually). I feel like this is good for me. Great video Hannah💕I'm a real one!
I think it's good for you too! I was also excited to live alone for the first time, and I don't regret it at all. So much personal growth has taken place and I just feel like I'm all around better for it!
@@HannahElise 🤍
I love being alone. When I was a kid I used to play hours on hours all by myself, completely in my own world. In the current day and age it seems like you always need to be around people to have fun, but videos like this show that that isn't the case. And i freaking love thaaaat!
I need this so badly. Like, I have really bad social anxiety and just anxiety in general as well as depression. My self confidence comes and goes, but when it goes its so hard to get it back. Seeing you talk about it so real and casual made me feel better about myself. I've been a viewer for four years now, and you've helped me get through some really hard times. Thanks for everything Hannah ❤
I feel like NYC is a place where you can be alone but not feel lonely. I'm very proud of you Hannah. Becca xo
Thank you for sharing this video and your thoughts on doing things alone. I always feel intimidated being alone outside. Your video showed me that I shouldn't ❤
needed this, been spending more time alone but having difficulties embracing it. thank u hannah
you are most welcome
It‘s so important to have some times by yourself. For a long time, I was really shy going out alone or having the motivation. But since I‘m watching you for around 2 years, I feel more comfy to go alone shopping or just for a walk. Also having social anxiety and hearing your advice about only having you for life gave me the strength to believe more in my own power. Thank you so much girly for being a rock for me. You mean a lot to me🤍
This means so much to me. I'm so proud of you for stepping out of your comfort zone and gaining that confidence. You have SO MUCH power in yourself, you just have to believe in it. Thank you for this and for your support. I appreciate you a lot ❤
@@HannahElise thank you so much Hannah. That made my day.🤍
ngl i just got done watching all of your old fall videos to put me in the fall mood!! love seeing your living alone videos, super comforting
Thank you for being you. The way you treat yourself helps me to give more love and attention to myself 🥰
i live in such a small city that it almost feels unusal to see people doing things alone or on their own. but since i started watching your videos around 3 years ago, i became more comfortable being and doing things by myself and don’t feel weird about it anymore, most especially when you started living in such a big city by yourself. i found it fun to do things outside of my comfort zone since then (especially eating out by myself lol). thank you for sharing this journey with us! 🤍
I love your vlogs it actually makes me feel so happy watching from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦💖.
I really like how this vlog looks like a short film… So relaxed and fun to watch. Thanks Hannah ♥
YAY this made me smile :) that's kinda the vibe I was going for so thank you ❤
This entire video is exactly what I needed. I relate so much, I do have friends but I never see them bc they are all busy all the time and I would just not do anything I wanted to do bc I didn't have that comfort person. Just the other day, I wanted to see My Policman in theaters but not a single person I asked would/could go, so I up and went on a solo date to the movie and it was actually amazing and so freeing. I think its so important as you said to learn to love your own company . I am going to make solo dates more of a priority. Love you Hannah!
AHH YES I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE MY POLICEMAN. And I completely relate to not having that comfort person - so I decided to make myself my own comfort person :)
In love with her personality 😍
I love spending time alone!! I bought a ticket to nyc to spend a week by myself (and it was soooo good!) and your vlog motivated me to go to the park, buy some books and enjoy the present! Great vlog, Hannah ❤ love from Brazil!
YES!!! I did that last year before I moved here & it honestly gave me the extra confidence that I needed to move out on my own :)
I love the message of this video AND the new way of editing/the homey feel of it! 🤍
I can totally relate to the idea of doing things by myself - I tend to travel alone so that I can do and see what I want rather than having to compromise with others - I’m not wierd, just like doing what I want when I want!! And people tend to talk to you more easily when you are a solo traveller abroad!! Xx
I also like doing what I want when I want so I totally feel you! I traveled alone for the first time this past spring and it was an awesome experience, even though I was a little nervous at first :)
that “table for one” transition was *chefs kiss*
I feel this one hundred percent; doing things individually is so rewarding and genuinely fulfilling. It builds confidence and also gives a sense of reassurance that you’re capable of being comfortable in who you are and the things you enjoy doing solo.
Also, that transition to asking for “a table for one” was fantastic and seamless, so kudos for that - it fr inspires me to contemplate doing my own videos for the same aesthetic and flow that your videos have! Thank you for uploading this down to earth content love 🤍
I think being able to enjoy your own company is such a mature part of growing into adulthood!
I think this is one of my favorite videos from you, I feel so comforted and I relate so much to this. I love spending time by myself and it makes me happy to see you loving that aswell❤️
Comon, that vibe it's perfect 🥰, Hannah you made my sunday's more introspective and cozy, thanks, I'm a real one xoxo
YES!! Growing up as an only child on top of being the oldest and only girl out of all my cousins, I learned to love and appreciate my alone time and embrace it even more as I get older. Never let not having someone else stop you from going somewhere or doing something you want to do. My mom was shocked when I said I went to a comedy show a few months back on my own since none of my friends were interested, but I had such a great time - people should learn to love their own company ❤
This might be one of my favourite videos of yours. Such an important message shared in a very real and relatable way
I am LIVINGGGG for the editing of these last few videos, especially the intermixing of high quality footage with footage from your camcorder. it's an absolute vibe and I'm loving it ❤
YAY so glad you like it!! I love using the camcorder (stole from my parents LOL) I feel like it just adds to the ~vibe~ sometimes :)
5:48 you're so relatable Hannah. I feel and I do the same thing though the difference is I don't live alone. But I enjoy and love my time alone with myself
For the past week I’ve just been binge watching your videos cuz I love them so much🥹💕 I love your energy and the way you edit your videos ☺️ keep up te good work! 🧡
this video was so calming I've always wanted to go to the movie theatre alone and might try that this week!
you should!! take this as a sign
Like always, Hannah spoke truth! Thank you for making it "regular" to spend time with yourself. I love my "me time" but I sometimes feel judged for just being alone. Thank you for being an example for younger women and young content creators like myself.
I feel that - I don't want to come off as a loner or anything but I just simply am comfortable moving about alone :) thank you for being here & your kind words
Pleeeaaasseee do a podcast!! I love your voice and you talking about being alone is so comforting❤️🥺
I too have gone to a concert by myself at a city and arena I had NEVER been to in a new state I was living in and idk how I did it alone with the anxiety that I have but I totally enjoyed myself, it was so amazing. I’ve eaten by myself and gone to the movies by myself a few times, I love it and kudos to you!! More of your generation needs to be comfortable and confident doing all of that!
i will never ever ever get tired of your videos
i’m catching up on your vlogs lol but after being alone or having very VERY few friends, i’ve learned really quick to love my own company and enjoy the movies, going to a bookstore, etc. by myself. and honestly it’s super fun ❤
Wow this video gave me a whole sense of relief. Like yess spending time with yourself is so important. Relying on people ain't it, it's you who's with you at the end of the day so cherish it, value it
And yes fake it till you make it❤️
Thank you for giving us a 12 min montage of the phrase “You’re on your own kid, you always have been”
honestly the first minute of this video is the vibe I'm here for
It’s so important to spend time alone! Love the way you edit - as a new RUclipsr - learning it all!
I LOVE the slow calm vibes of this video!
the soft jazz always gets me. seeing your solo adventures inspires me to get out and explore my city more, & rly take advantage of the hours given to me. i’m gonna update how i spend my 24hrs. thanks✌🏾💕

I absolutely needed this Hannah! I’ve grown apart from my friends in college and I’ve wanted to go to so many campus events but I didn’t want to go alone. Thank you!
Do it! If you don't feel comfortable, you can always leave! But doesn't hurt to try :)
@@HannahElise you’re right! ❤️❤️
I've learned that enjoying your own company is very healthy. I too have social anxiety/awkwardness. But l remind myself that l'm ok. Sometimes we're our own worst critics.
Going to movies and concerts alone are two of my favorite things to do. I went to a JT concert by myself when I was 16 (my mom stayed in the hotel next to the venue) and I’ve gone to the majority of concerts alone since (20 years). I rather go by myself than with someone who doesn’t love the artist as much as I do. The same for movies. Love going to a matinee on the weekends.
Very relaxing to watch. Definitely made me think about going on solo dates more often or trying a concert alone
You should :) this is your sign
this vlog absolutely has me inspired to spend time alone
YAY this makes me happy
I love my alone time!! This video made me want to go out and treat myself 🤍
Thank you for this! Enjoying one's own company is the first step to being confident and loving yourself. I also struggle with anxiety out in public when I go places alone, but getting more used to it. Love the ideas you give, it's very inspiring
i understand you so much. i'm exatly the same. I love be alone and speak with me and understand alone what i'm. love you and your beautiful way to express yourself.
can always rely on Hannah to brighten our sundays! love you girl! ❤
love YOU! thank you for being here ❤
Good video Hannah! Too often being alone holds people back from fully enjoying life and all it has to offer. This was a great topic to bring up and hopefully more people go out and enjoy life alone because it’s not so bad!
I went to an Elton John concert once by myself and that was the first large solo thing I’ve done. Since then I’ve done numerous trips across the country solo. Such a piece of growth. ❤
hannah i hope you know that you're literally my favorite vlogger and you're amazing 🥺🤍
you're realy inspiring me tohave fun spending time alone i dont have friends
and your vid you showed me that the time i spend with me is so presious
thank u hannah ♥♥
I learned how to be happy on my own at university. I have friends, but they're very busy so I often end up alone. Social anxiety prevented me from going out on my own for a long time, but I have been practicing for three years now and finally feel like I can do it alone without feeling lonely or anxious. I'm studying abroad on my own right now (and barely know anyone yet), and am really enjoying myself!
A cinematic masterpiece tbh
Queen this is so empowering, I've been doing this for a while and honestly its is the best thing you could ever do to yourself💖✨
You'll realize a lot.
videos like these are soooo helpful for me. they help me to feel more confident comfortable and happy being on my own. thank u sm 🫶🏾
this makes me happy. I'm glad you could resonate. thank YOU for being here ❤
I always go to concerts alone. It's better to be able to do stuff alone than feel like you absolutely need to have someone there with you!
this video made me feel so comfortable for some reason. I loved this perspective ❤️
these videos literally show therapy effect on me, thank you!
I cannot put it in words how much I needed to hear this at this very exact moment. Thank you Hannah for always making my life better somehow, you may not realise this but you are so so important for so many people and you're such an inspiration in their lives!
This makes me so happy. Thank you for this, it really means a lot to me to know that you feel that way 🥺❤ I appreciate you
I love the music in this
It really makes the whole thing so relaxing
your life seems so nice💜
Thank you for being my company right now - you are making me feel less alone
Hannah I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Hannah thank you for sharing this 🥲 I was feeling really anxious about being home alone in my house for the first time in a LONG time. And it really calmed me down this morning to watch this video. It reminded me of how exciting the freedom of not having anyone around is! ❤️ happy autumn and I love you! 🥰
Honestly even I get anxious being home alone when I visit my parents house HAHA. I love you too ❤
I agree, I went to the cinema and a restaurant alone. It was cool!
I need to get back to having fun alone! I have no problem shopping alone but eating at a restaurant alone is not something I have conquered yet. Great Vlog ❤
This vlog looks beautiful, Hannah! You’re the real one! I’ve subscribed your channel for 2 years now 🙂
Thank you for sticking around!!
when i’m at work and go on break i used to just sit at the little table out front (tiny smoothie shop) and my manager was always encouraging me to go for a walk or something and i never wanted to cause there’s always so many people walking around and i’m standing all day i just wanna sit down, but i found a really nice spot to sit up against a tree and look out onto water with really pretty trees and a couple boats tied together just floating in the water and i set a timer on my phone and just eat and look at the water and it is so amazing and peaceful i wish i had done that all summer when it was crazy busy now that it’s getting colder and i’m not gonna be working there much longer
I think people need to use the right term-on your own, not alone. You can be with a huge group of people, and still be alone.
I’ve lived on my own for about 30 yrs. My job is fairly social/with people, so I enjoy my alone time. I enjoy going to stores and doing things on my own, and just that quiet time to be creative. Great video!
I took a sales job with a very large territory and I traveled alone for so long that I now can do almost anything without having friends with me. I'm so glad that I feel comfortable with my own company as it makes so many things much easier.
Love this so much and I am so obsessed with your content! Thank you for creating such amazing videos and putting your heart and soul into them! I truly see all your amazing work in them! Your vlogs are always so aesthetically pleasing and so comforting! Ilysm and hope you're having an amazing day!
thank you so much 🥺 this really means a lot. I love you
This video was good for my mental health. Being back to my hometown after living abroad feels like I’m coming back to a place I no longer fit in, and in a sense I do feel kind of alone even though I have people around me. Sigh
I loved this vlog, thank you for normalizing being alone! Agreed with everything you said, it’s not about disliking people, it’s about being secure enough in yourself to have fun without them. Spending time by yourself with intention isn’t something everyone is secure enough to do so I think your video will give people the confidence and help!❤
I traveled to NYC between October 9th-15th on my own, it was my first time crossing the ocean from Europe to the USA. I enjoyed a lot being on my own, I loved the city and every place I visited was incredible!
It’s so important to enjoy your own company and makes you appreciate the time you spend with friends more x
