Something about this vlog feels so encouraging and comforting for me. I’m currently at a stage in my life where I’m learning to take breaks and regain control, and honestly it’s been really hard. I’ve gotten so used to constantly pushing myself past my limit and ignoring the effects that’s had on my body and mental. Relearning how to care for your yourself is incredibly hard but I’m so proud of the progress I’ve made.

Literally it feels like charging your battery but you can never charge it fully and then it drains faster than it charges 😭😭
Usually by the end of the day, people are exhausted and low energy but I could just feel your energy by the end of the video being so much lighter and you looked so happy 🥰 you inspire always ✨

I love that you did this!! I always try to do either Saturday or Sunday as a day to do absolutely no work and just fun stuff that I want to do.
Ideally I would make Sunday my day to do this but I always end up having a million things to do so it's not relaxing 😭😭 need to find a way to delegate those things to other days so I can have Sunday for me
@@HannahElise ahhh, thanks for replying!! I have been following you since your college days, when you were just about to transfer colleges. Yes, since starting uni in the UK I have had that problem more often too. It just seems like there is so much to do at all times. Where my family lives in Germany, stores, work offices, post office, etc are closed on Sundays and that absolutely helps with making the Sunday feel like a day just for yourself!

Burn out is very real….taking a day to not work, think abt adult things is a must. It’s February and I need a vacation already! Great vlog, cups were super cute ❤
Literally so blessed that I have a vacation coming up shortly
Some people call it enrichment time in my enclosure, others me day or self care, I call movie time something completely unrelated, but for my self care this I've been starting to dub it "comfy-core" day. After a long work week of going full-throttle, you dress in your comfyiest stuff, everyone's go-to comfy wear varies, and do essentially what is comfy to you. For me it's taking slow time to do various stuff to self-care myself: read, cook a meal, basically what I feel like slowly doing that day like Hannah to relax yourself. Again everyone's comfy is different, mine is with a little hygge and a mixture of lifestyle stuff thrown in. But at the end of the day, when it's a self-care day, you do you. Everyone does things differently. Great video as always... and now, it's off to do my comfy-core slow weekly reset...

No problem. Used to do a regular reset, felt like getting burnt out with my health issues, which sucks as a late 30 year old with psiorstic arthritis and a hernia from stressing over stuff. I started doing this as a weekly reset this year on a random whim, cause i was like theres gotta be a better way, so I remembered about cottage core being a clothing vibe and I was like, screw it I'm having a comfy-core day. Has worked wonders ever since.

just an FYI I learned from my Italian mother and grandmother -- pretty much all pasta, no matter the brand, cooks in about 8-11 min depending on the shape/size of the pasta and what texture you want it to be (al dente or softer) ! so you shouldn't have to worry about cook times!
