    Nice video, I've owned just about every cc range of motorcycles for over 50 years ending with huge 800+ lb. 1500 & 1800 Honda Goldwings before downsizing to a 1996 Helix and I couldn't be happier for all that I need today pushing 70. In response to comparison of the 2 I would say that making a choice would depend on where you are riding and how long and far you are going. I used to go to Key West every year and rent a 50cc scooter for the whole week and it was really all you really needed with the island's 35 MPH maximum speed limit and flat level roads. For mostly level roads like where you are and driving shorter distances in Florida the PCX would work fine but I like to make longer 150 mile round trips out to the mountains in Maryland where I am and the Helix is perfect for that with the nice cruising speed, extra leg room to stretch out, and the large capacity trunk which I have equipped with extra tools, 2 types of tire repair kits, a small 12v compressor wired to plug into my battery charger leads, first aid kit, emergency ponchos, and much more, and I still have room to store my half helmet and a jacket. I said that I would never part with my last 3 bikes and I did, but I'm definitely going to keep my Helix until I'm too old to ride. I hope to get some videos up and posted this summer/fall.

    Both great bikes especially the newer 2019+PCX. With that being said, no scooter is better than the Helix lol. I love riding mine. Rides like a Chopper.

      I have a 2007 morphous. Which is about as close as you can get to a helix. I had one in 1990 or so and loved it.

      @papaballoon I like the looks of the Morphous and would get one but it seems like a tighter ride for a tall rider compared to the Helix?

      @papaballoon Год назад +1

      @@optimusprime6436 the two are very similar. Yamaha and suzuki made their own versions of the helix. The morphous and the Gemma. The morphous bolster has a rearward position that makes it better for bigger guys and you can get seats without the bolster..(web bike) I have not looked for accessories for the helix/ fusion.
      Ok.. my take is that the morphous and helix are a dead tie for "GOAT" scooter/ motorcycle. Because their individual flaws are covered by the other one! Ok.. I dislike the 10 inch wheel/ drum brake/foot pedal on the helix. The morphous has a13 inch wheel, Disc, hand lever rear brake.
      But.. the morphous has a dinky stock windshield and all the after market ones and "inadequate". Due to the bars swing into the windshield space. While the helix has a great windshield/ cockpit.
      The morphous instruments are swoopy and cool.. but hard to read at times.. while helix is BIG! And informative! Trunk space is his on both.. but on the morphous is broken up into 3 smaller chunks. But the glove box on the morphous is cleaner and easier.. and locks!
      Both are really great bikes.. I only wish I could afford BOTH! If I could get my wife interested in riding.. I would try to get HER a helix..

    I have a 2004 helix and couple of conventional motorcycles. The thing I would like to know, but in Fla you probably don’t have much experience with, is how well the PCX handles hills. I live in northeast Pa which means that I am always going over hills and mountains. The Helix will do What I call a reliable 60 mph. That means on all but the worst grades it can maintain that speed. One big difference between the Helix and my bigger bikes is that to maintain that speed you are opening the throttle up a lot. I would love to hear from someone who has ridden a PCX in the mountains to see if it can maintain speed or if it quickly becomes a 45 mph bike on a grade or headwind.

      Hi thanks for the response, in Florida the biggest problem it the wind or rain but with the big windshield it really helps a lot but we dont have hills in west palm beach hahahah

    I have a 2000 Helix, I love it! To me it seems little different from driving a car.

    I have both of those bikes in my online shopping cart. Thanks for the video comparison. I now know I would prefer the PCC. Will you be selling the PCX?

    I too own a Helix 3200 miles on it, but mine only get 67 miles per gallon. After all it’s a 250cc. I’m interested in a PCX vs an ADV because the PCX gets better mileage than the ADV. in your opinion does the pcx have more to offer in the way of comfort than the ADV?

    You didn't mention the top speed of each scooter. I know my Helix will run 75 MPH all day long. And, it will pull hills and mountains easilly. I believe they're the most comfortable scooter to ride, especially if you add a backrest.

    Very nice review of both bikes. I had a Honda Silverwing for about 15 years and it was fabulous!! However im 80 yo now and it's too heavy for me if I drop it. So im looking for a smaller version..like a Burgman or Majesty 400..but they are still kinda out of my range price wise ( only income is SS )..So I think after watching your video..my preference is...the PCX 150. so im going to start looking for one locally ( Hemet Calif )..Do you know the weight of the PCX? Anyhow thanks for a great review!! David

    I own a 2013 PCX150. It gets 110 mpg. I wonder what the Helix gets? My Honda rev limits at 62 mph. I wonder what the top end is for the Helix?

      Depending on how it is ridden, my 2006 ranges between 67 to 72 mpg. I've had mine to 72 mph.

      110mpg is great..... but ride quality and comfort is more important. Plus the Helix has more power. Very helpful if you are a bigger person or live in a place with hills and mountains
