Gothic 1 game - 7 secrets

We delve into some of Gothic 1's game secrets. Enjoy :)
Steps to insert Inextremo:
1. Open Marvin Mode. (have your character sheet open and type in "Marvin")
2. Press f2 to open the console
3. Insert the following NPCs using these insert codes in the console:

insert inextremo_unicorn
insert inextremo_yellowpfeiffer
insert inextremo_lutter
insert inextremo_flex
insert Charlotte
insert iefan1
insert iefan2

4. When all those are inserted all you gotta do is insert one last NPC, aka steve.
To insert steve type in the following in marvin mode.
insert ie_397_announcer
5. Talk to Steve and enjoy the show.

Gothic 1 is an rpg made by Pyranha Bytes in 2001. Currently Pyranha Bytes is a subsidiary of THQ Nordic, who are working on a modern release of this classic game.
It's considered a cult classic especially in Eastern Europe where it still enjoys a strong fanbase.

In the original game there is also a path from the free mine over the mountains to the city of the orcs. However, I have never seen this on RUclips.

I think I know the path you're referring to and if I recall it's a speedrun path? Or one speedrun path at least. Yeah Gothic 1 doesn't have as many secrets compared to Gothis 2 NOTR for example, but it does have some nice things you can find early on. Although not sure if speedrun paths might qualify as secrets more like little exploits to finish the game as quick as possible. You'll note the only exploit I mentioned is the "draw weapon at guards" one since in a way it's a method to get in the castle quicker to loot stuff in it or deliver the letter for the Fire mages :)

22 free crude sword at 0:31 yaaay! worth around 1100, easy money at the begging of the game. There is also a similar chest in the sect camp with raw steels near Darrion at blacksmith. However you can get an unlimited amount of crude swords, in the new camp near Gorn, by sharpening weapons with the grindstone, but this is more like cheating rather than a secret, since this is a bug just like when you can enter any guarded location by simply drawing your weapon in front of the guards.

Hey Paul! Yeah that chest in the sect camp is also a good catch.
Yep the weapon drawing does abuse the AI of the NPCs and fortunately it's fixed in Gothic 2 and other mods.

Please don't cqll them secrets, those are just weel known facts. If you want real gothic secrects check some polish channels, we know literally everything about this game (even the darkest and deepest secrets)

Hi dude. It's a fine line true, on how to define a "game secret", but generally it's something a player can miss, it's hidden or it requires a certain combination of actions to access. Quick example would be how in Gothic 2, if you ever reach 300 mana as a fire mage and speak to Pyrokar, he actually has some special dialogue for you. Most players will never reach 300 mana but that is actually a neat little hidden gem over there.
It's true Gothic 1 is an old game and most hardcore players and veteran ones pretty much have mapped out all of the game's secrets and how the codeworks for everything.
But this video wasn't made just for the hardcore fans, maybe some new players jumping into Gothic will benefit a bit from it as well. These "secrets" seem like facts to you and me because we've played Gothic for so long we got used to them as such, but to new people they might seem like game secrets.
I would like a link or two actually for those polish channels if you can, I am curious about what our polish brethren have found out.
