Most people here in the Highlands now ignore Yellow warnings, because the Met office give them for an inch of rain or half an inch of snow. It's just embarrassing.
Good on ya! I did the nc500 and Skye in my D3. I slept the whole trip in the back, cooked outside and washed in the streams. Loved every minute of it even though it snowed most days and the warmest it got to was 9 degrees.
Well done you ,Becky!! A mixture of portraying the realities of the positives and negatives of our travelling ambitions. Your videos are an inspiration to young and old. And anyone that has experienced these situations know the highs outweigh the problems and lows. So as long as you’re of an adventurous character you will continue to inspire. My new little Skoda Yeti is hopefully going to become my little micro camper to get me from the south of England up there for lots of human powered adventures. Cheers you!!!
Watching this from my moho at the other end of the country (Cornwall). Itching even more to be back in Scotland. There is a great joy in being dry and warm while the weather rages,
I haven't watched much RUclips at all over the past 18 months and I'm honestly not surprised that your channel has grown so much. Great stuff! Thinking about starting my own outdoor/camping channel.
You need a diesel heater to keep you warm inside and eliminate the condensation. A very small one which you can control for temperature. Also great for use in inclement weather for drying your outside clothes.
Good to see you back in the UK. Beautiful places, very cold, it’s very cold down here in the North East. Take care and be safe. Look forward to next week. Xx
It's been a while since I last watched one of your videos, obviously you have Percy now, your love for Scotland never seems to change and makes me proud to be Scottish and seeing you enjoy the beautiful outdoors, was good to catch up in everything that's been going on, best wishes for the future, TC 🏴👍
Hi Becky! Your Percy is incredible! If I may make a suggestion, in the left side, where these baskets are, I see a lot of empty space. I think every inch should be put to good use. Then you could replace these baskets with drawers or plastic boxes, so you can make the most of the space inside the Percy.
Wow a great piece of content you present . I think you are a very brave lady travelling in this way . However it does look very adventurous and living life in a natural way if I can say . Good luck for all your future adventures .
Just found your channel , you are a real inspiration , at your age I would have never had the courage to undertake your journeys. Loved watching , reminded me of our family holiday in Scotland where I did do all the driving and husband was a back seat passenger whilst navigating with the kids 😂.
Utterly brilliant. Love your free spirit and positive outlook. I live in the Highlands and Scotland is the best country in the world! You have earned a sub!
hey, i'm a hgv driver, so used to this kind of small space camping. a trick i use to keep the condensation away is to keep the night heater running at night at about 20 degrees which for me keep the condensation to an absolute minimum, quite often there is none.
Hey Becky. Lovely to see you back in Scotland.. and the weather didn't dampen your spirits. Still smiling 😃. Great set up in Percy. Shame about your roof tent issues. Stunning scenery, really looking forward to the next episode after seeing those deer crossing in front of you. Another beautifully made video 🎉❤
Hi Becky, Just come across this video 🤘 i did the same in starting the new year by doing Skye & NC5 for 3 weeks car camping in my BMW for the first time and loved it. Been home a few weeks now but nearly ready to venture back 🏴 again. Happy to share the odd spot or tips i found alternatively might catch you on the road or trail if i take the push iron 🤔 All the best, take care x
I changed the injector seals and the wiring harness on my 02 plate TD5 after numerous running starring/conking out issues and touch wood running like a dream now😊
Becky a good addition to Percy if you do not have it already is a snorkel. This addition is connected to your air filter and sits vertically up from the wing to the passenger side of the windscreen. So if you ever encounter surface water and try to drive through it, it could get into your existing air filter and kill the engine. Just a word of warning now, if not fitted and the engine dies whilst navigating water, NEVER try to start Percy, doing so will wreck the whole engine. Best to wait for recovery.
I have a Disco with an iKamper Mini, it might be a good option for you too as hard shell (rocky shell is better than the gloss black imho), light weight and leaves room on the roof rack for storage boxes. I have used it in some crazy weather and always been fine. You can store bedding and pillows inside, I use the optional comfort mattress which is insanely comfortable. AluCab (as you probably know) is the Muts Nuts but it’s one of the heaviest - so a trade off depending on what your needs are. Lots of options out there, just another one to take a look at. 😎🙏 When sleeping inside I do the same with the window blinds, otherwise it looks like a tin foil space ship 😅
Always great to watch your adventures, Becky. I just got back from one of my own adventures. Travelled to NZ and went on my first ever Cruise which was fantastic apart from getting COVID on board ship. Look forward to watching more of your adventures. You are a real role model for young people. Take care always. 👍
Your problem could be the injector wiring harness It gets contaminated with oil . Its not a mega expensive or long job to replace . Might be worth a look
Drumnadrochit... Drum-nah-dro-chit. The landslides were at Abriachan. I know someone who just got through as it was sliding! Good to see you back out and in bonny Scotland.
For a little different place to go up on the West coast. the Isle of Luing about 30 min drive away from Oban. nice quiet island, park up on the coast have. walk around some old slate mines,
Totally agree with what you said about being on adventures and planning them, its nice to feel comfortable when your in touch with the land and nature.
Great video 👏🏻 I miss my disco, had it for years and served me well. Great thinking with getting the springs rather than airbags, my airbags were a nightmare, also good shout not getting sunroofs, when mines leaked water would gather in the felt and pour on me when I turned a corner or run down my seatbelt 😂 can’t wait to see more of your adventures in Bonnie Scotland 😁💪🏻👏🏻
Hi. Becky and viewers. as a Disco owner i totally understand you didn’t want sunroofs, at least i think you didn’t.. BUT i like the light from above and also hate the standard LR typical leaking from above.. my solution? Sikaflex 291 is your friend… i sealed mine totally, both on the D2 and D3. From above, just filling up the seam between glass and metal…. Never a drop of water again… And yes, i can not open them, but when i ever sell the disco, it is easy to remove…. Sika 291 is used on boats, yachts😊 It simply gives more choices if you are looking for (maybe) the next one, since most of the Disco’s and RR have sunroofs.. sika 291 can be used for all other leakage as well… when not yet dried, excessive kit can be removed with petrol! , “factory” like finish is very easy to obtain that way.. cheers from ☔️ Netherlands
I went ahead of your video and saw your setup in your Land Rover vehicle. It's quite good and functional. You should consider buying a Merina thermals. They are quite warm.
Hi Becky, thanks for another great video. If you come up to the Fort Augustus area in the future you could walk or cycle the Corrieyairack pass to Laggan. I have driven part of the route many years ago from the Laggan side but it is not a through road.
Wow Becky, the Blade roof tent let you down ! Isn't it under warrenty ? Molly Dixon has had hers for years ? She tours Australia though so the weathers a lot milder....defo not so rainy.
The Trent in the midlands is still going apeshit 😵 highest I've ever seen it in 23 years of living here a few weeks back, then it went back to pretty much normal (for a winter) and now it's rising again
Hi just a suggestion, if you go to Scotland in midge season, mosquito netting does not work, the holes are too big;..... midge netting is needed as holes are much smaller and the little beggars cannot get through. Tropical strength repellent needed but beware it may melt your plastic phone. Head net can be good as they get into your ears ....when really bad rubber bands around shirt sleeves....long socks with long trousers ...and tuck in your shirt.............if you think this is mad..........try Glencoe in June after the rain. But all still worth it for the scenery .........Please take all rubbish away and do not empty loos in unauthorised places................thank you
Great to see you back gutted for you having bad experiences with the tent hope it’s not put you off as I’m sure you’ll miss that space in the nicer weather
Nice to see you back becky. The way your face lit up when you saw the sun shining was beautiful. 😊 when you do the NC500, go up the east coast and back down west, it just gets better that way. You may already be done on that. Enjoy the rest of the trip 😊
Becky the worst part of your roof tent is access from outside when the weather is bad. Could be rain, strong winds or snow and it can't be any worse trying to settle there with wet clothes. If a Landie was bigger inside then it could make an excellent campervan.
Good to see you back up here in Scotland again. Still quite a way down south from where I stay but if ur planning on doing the NC500 then you will be passing right by me. You should spend a bit of time around where I am in the Dornoch / Tain area. A lot of people rush by but it’s some of the nicer places that are often overlooked and missed.
I gorgeous, nice to see you again. I've actually dthe NC5 once in the summer wanting winter. Time I prefer the winter time I did it in my Vaults of waggon caddy which I converted myself. It's a bit similar to the back of your truck now Be safe Be happy.❤❤❤
I watch lots of stuff …. They are mostly fillers till a favourite posts , you are a favourite I am happy to wait a day or three months , is down to you …..thanks for your content when ever it pops up 😀🏴
Nice to have you back. Shame about the weather you seem to take it I. Your stride. See you next time I. The Cairngorms. Take care, be safe. 💕 Dorset, UK
Watching all your travels with Percy I want to build a campervan for Scotland. Do I buy a regular van to convert or a Landie? Having owned and travelled much of the Highlands in now an old classic Range Rover, a Landie will be perfect as I I want to drive off road on so many trails back then when living there did not know they existed. But my Landie will have an elevated roof to accommodate my height plus a dry place to sleep. The base area will be for cooking and a loo.

So good to see you out and about with "Percy", and to finally get some decent weather, Becky. I hope that your summer is kind to you, allowing you to enjoy the outdoor life more fully. Do you ever get to travel with "Bush Wacker Man" now that you are both in Landies?
Thank you so much John! Always appreciate your messages and support. My dad doesn’t really travel as he’s more into his bushcraft and growing! Take care :)

Gusts of 50 to 60 mph 😂 ? Every day here on Skye , nothing unusual 😂
These weather warnings are to prop up the crumbling climate crisis narrative that people are finally seeing through.
Just to keep people in fear a bit more 🤔
@@alexrobinson2281 just a wee breeze
Same down here in Greenock 😂
Welcome back becky. Scotland is the best even when the weather is grim. Stay safe. Keep smiling. Beep beep😊
Haha thanks a lot!
In Scotland today's rain is tomorrow's whisky 🥃😁
Good on ya! I did the nc500 and Skye in my D3. I slept the whole trip in the back, cooked outside and washed in the streams. Loved every minute of it even though it snowed most days and the warmest it got to was 9 degrees.
You are awesome, and Im proud of you, that you can do what you do. Thanksful to the people that help you and the vids! Have a nice day , stay safe!
It's so relaxing and refreshing to hear you speak outdoors in nature. Thank you for this unique experience.
Your videography gets better and better, so does your Channel. Your amazing.
You're! I know, I'm pedantic.
Well done you ,Becky!! A mixture of portraying the realities of the positives and negatives of our travelling ambitions. Your videos are an inspiration to young and old. Brilliant Becky!
Thoroughly enjoyed.
Enjoy your trip and good luck!
I can really recommend the Karcher window vac for your condensation issue. If you have a little more space that is!
Great content, even with severe weather Scotland is so beautiful
That was really enjoyable. Thanks, Becky. 👍🙂🏕️
Thank you!
Your Jelly Belly air cleaner hanging from your rear view mirror is cool. I visited the factory in Fairfield, California this past March!
I haven't watched much RUclips at all over the past 18 months and I'm honestly not surprised that your channel has grown so much. Great stuff! Thinking about starting my own outdoor/camping channel.
Way to go Becky! The joy when the sun finally comes out lol know the feeling. Haven't had very many sunny days this winter across the pond 😢😢
Thank you!

Hi Becky this my first time seeing one off your camping videos I really love watching it and Scotland is a gorgeous place too travel around in.
Good to see you back in the UK. Beautiful places, very cold, it’s very cold down here in the North East. Take care and be safe. Look forward to next week. Xx
super cool vid/trip, stay safe and cozy.
You should come up to the wood and beaches on the north coast! Its my local patch and it much quieter than the cairngorms and west coast
Thanks for the video. Stay well and safe.

I’m new to your channel I’m from Indiana in the United States 🇺🇸 I love ❤️ your accent also love ❤️ your Land Rover it’s really cool 😎!!!
We plan a motor home tour of the 500 which peaked my interest. You are very good on video, well done

Hi Becky, check your I injector loom for oil ingress.
Also get a Window vac for the damp 😊
Good to see you again Becky, I hope Percy will be okay for you, nice to see the glorious sun at the end, hope you enjoy yourself 😘

Have a safe and wonderful trip top lady ...
Im just back from a few days in the highlands - could stay there forever - its incredible
Great video, Becky. Your joie de vivre and enthusiasm in wonderful surroundings makes for compulsive viewing. 😀
Thanks so much!
You should also do the North East 250, and South West 300 in Scotland !
Always great to watch your adventures, Becky. I just got back from one of my own adventures. Travelled to NZ and went on my first ever Cruise which was fantastic apart from getting COVID on board ship. Look forward to watching more of your adventures. Great video Becky ! Positive attitude is the key !! Thanks you for sharing.
Take care !!
Thank you for sharing your beauty and awesome life.
Your problem could be the injector wiring harness It gets contaminated with oil . Its not a mega expensive or long job to replace . Might be worth a look
Would that problem throw up error codes in the ecu so plugging in with computer will be a accurate diagnosis 🤔
Drumnadrochit... Drum-nah-dro-chit. The landslides were at Abriachan. I know someone who just got through as it was sliding!
Good to see you back out and in bonny Scotland.
Never seen it so wet. Started last summer and its not stopped since
Awesome! I keep saying I want to do a nc500 of my own route in the Landy and roof tent. Safe travels
Just come across you cast and I must say love it and I’ve found inspiring for myself to get out there with Mother Nature 💙✌️🙏

Hi Becky, a lot of the campervan people have a Karcher window vac for the condensation problems. Don’t know if that would help you or not.
Hey Becky, so good to see your latest video, JC and I just watched together, stay safe and take care.
Hi Becky, thanks for another great video. If you come up to the Fort Augustus area in the future you could walk or cycle the Corrieyairack pass to Laggan. I have driven part of the route many years ago from the Laggan side but it is not a through road.

just found your channel , love it.🚙⛺️🏴
It was crazy weather that week , I'm in Fort William and it's where rain comes from 🙈 but I've never seen the rivers as high .
Yeah very crazy weather haha!

What does'nt kill you will strenghten you enjoy nature no matter how extreme and good luck on your adventure!
Haha very true!
Since coming into sobriety my whole mindset has shifted I feel myself doing something like this 💙✌️🙏
Great video, Becky. I woefully haven't been to much of Scotland. The NC500 is definitely on the bucket list!
Thanks, enjoyed your video. ✌🏻👊🏼
Ach it's just like a summer day in the north of Scotland but it's still the most beautiful place on earth..🏴
Great video Becky…. Hope the nc500 goes well and Percy behaves 😁👌
Great to watch love and something that you love doing
Video worth waiting for!
Always amazing Miss Becky... thank you. Still lovin'it from Texas 💖💕
I had a little giggle (not really funny I know) about how a Disco has some leaks. My mate had a TD5 too, but with a sunroof and I remember thinking "what the ????" when we went down a steep hill in heavy rain and it started coming in. Well, hydration is important. He'd owned a Defender for years and wasn't bothered by it in the slightest. Another Landy bonus feature.
