    Most of the people knew this story. My Grandma can't stop her tears hearing the words " ALL COUNTRIES CLOSED THEIR BORDERS TO JEWISH PEOPLE EXCEPT THE PHILIPPINES. 😭 Filipino Hospitality is wow! unimaginable! 😱

    This is a very sad story of what happened to these german jews. When the world closed its door to them, thanks to Pres. Quezon that he opened Philippines for these jews. God bless Philippines for its kind hearted act to humanity.

      I don't think so! It's a stereotype thinking of Filipinos in general that whenever they see a white western guy traveling the country, Pinoys think "Ah! He's rich!". Pinoys are also miscalling Indians as "bumbay" which derived from Bombay, a place in India and Indian people are being called "five-six". Also don't forget that Filipinos also discriminate fellow Filipinos.

    Yes Sofie the Philippines was discovered by Ferdinand Magellan inn1561 claimed the islands in honour of King Philip of Spain. We were occupied by them for 333 years until we were sold to US for $20M circa 1894. We were occupied by the Americans until they gave us independence in 1947.

    i think Philippine History should be correct because Philippines already a establish country who has way of life even before Magellan came here and invade Lequios or Philippines under Spanish for more than 300 years..... they invade and get all our Natural Resources, minerals including Gold during their reign in the Philippines..... Lequios/Philippines is very rich country.... its not only Jewish refugees but also Russian, Vietnamese who went here to Philippines for refuge.

    The first open door is Chinese and Indian during the dynasty period but that war was using sord a lot of Rahas empires and Majapahit in Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao a lot of group fighting.

    Israel and the Philippines have an open door policy. Filipinos can visit Israel and do not need/require a passport to enter Israel due to The Philippines was trying to save all the Jews from the German/Nazis. I AM PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO!!! Even though I left the Philippines when I was nine and move to the US I still have the Filipino nature and respect. I was raised in the old school way by both parents.

    I am so happy to knew this stories, and i knew bcz my late father he was on that time , aww1 and even ww2 my father was still have so mch difficult time ,
    it was amazing that my country has protected frm enemies, and all those neighbour countries are indeed so mch difficult arised bcz of that time , Germany, came and not only Germanies to Israels, but why inthe school we cant even read all about the history the years 1930s and even Japanese came to our country Phils. its terrible what they had done in Phils. . thank GOD my parents are still alive.... then only i knew it the history ww1and ww2 Enemies wont be prosper if GOD ALWAYS WT US.
