Framing the different ways women are evolutionarily programmed to think and act in a relationship as "insanity" is the root of the problem here. Does it make no sense to guys? Absolutely. It genuinely baffles me most of the time and I've been married 10 years. But accepting that my wife inherently thinks differently from me has been a huge help for me in my relationship. Learning how her "insanity" can compliment and strengthen you is actually a huge part of having a successful and happy relationship. It's how you can actually act like a man. None of it "centers" on a woman, it's basically telling you how to succeed and be a man.

Glad I watched this summary. I read the book about 2 years ago and it's become apparent to me recently that I abandoned my purpose in order to be what others wanted me to be. Also it's so true that watching what a woman does is a much better indicator of what they want. We all do this sometimes, but women are generally more agreeable than men and will tell pleasant lies to allow for social cohesion that betray their true desires.

I was disappointed in this book. I brought a book hoping for the unique perspective on masculinity that my generation so lacks but I got a book that just harped on respecting whamen, for the most part. I was disappointed in this book. I brought a book hoping for the unique perspective on masculinity that my generation so lacks but I got a book that just harped on respecting whamen, for the most part. Don’t get me wrong it drops some serious jewels but it makes the mistake of thinking that we are all in the relationship phase of our lives. Sure I’ve got women to keep me company but they are nowhere near the top of my priorities or even the middle of that list. I’m in a phase of my life where I need things no woman can provide like, piece of mind and financial stability . I need a perspective on how to conduct myself in relation to other men, because our generation today has a tremendous homophobia to the point where kinship amongst men is taboo. I want to know about being a man in relation to myself and the world, not a woman. But like I said it has it’s moments and drops jewels here and there but it leaves something to be desired.
I have not read this book yet, but I feel like some of the principles of this book contradicts Models by Mark Manson. Any insights?

Good video, but got to say, number 7 "praise her" is wrong. To praise her 3 times a day is insane. Of course you should compliment her but not very often, it makes the compliments hold more weight. Like anything with anyone, the more a person recieves a stimulus they become tolerant to it (like getting bored for example). She will get bored of your compliments and seek them else where. Telling a new beautiful woman she is beautiful gets boring to her because she hears it from many guys. So what you do is "feed them scraps".
