  • Today I show you how to crochet a lacy version of the arcade stitch. This stitch is a wonderful stitch for making into shawls as it works to a triangular increasing pattern very easily and is simple to remember.

    I have just started this shawl and am a fairly new person to crochet. It’s coming along lovely,,, making for my Mum for Xmas to wrap around her when it’s the cold winter nights. She’s going to love it I think! XX ty XX

    So I was looking for a shawl to make for me and I saw this on my feed. I fell in love with this!!!! I am making for myself now.
    Update.... I have changed the pattern a little. I like mine tighter. So for the chain round I am doing 6, then three, then four, end normally. I like it.

    I havent crochetted in years and as I was looking to do a shawl fr my mother in law i came across this lovely stitch. I did a mock trial as i am so rusty (was never much good anyway - very basic), and your video was so clear it came out great. So tomorrow Im off to the shops for some nice yarn. THANKS🙆😃

    3:6 stitch’ as it’s all 3’s and 6’s x

    This is so beautiful. Yours lays so flat even as you crochet. Mine is not flat. I’ve changed to a bigger hook. I’ve loosened my tension. I’ve made sure I have all the stitches you have. Any suggestions?

    I have just started this shawl pattern and I'm finding it doesn't lay flat even though I'm trying not to crochet too tightly. Will this loosen up later on? Thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern. It's just what I was looking for in a light weight lacy shawl.

      I honestly don't know as I am not left handed. Most tutorials are just flipped, but I'm always worried it will be wrong.

      I think a 4ply to DK weight is best, so 2-3 weight yarn

    That's called a shell Stitch I mean yeah for the most part it kind of looks like a shell Stitch but I could be wrong
