did this for the first time a couple of days ago on my 14 rt using your video as a guide, went like a breeze thanks to your detailed and clear instructions, thank you :)
Wow. I listened to your wisdom on purchasing the speed bleeders. All I can I say is why did I not purchase these years ago? Lol. So easy to fit onto my 2018 RT. A breeze bleeding all three callipers. And no need to yell at the wife for messing up the rhythm when doing it the old way lol. I also ordered the same EBC brake pads. Thanks again for making the video and imparting your wisdom. Really appreciated here in frozen (hopefully not to long) northern Alberta!
Are you referring to the cotter pin in each side? You absolutely need those to ensure nothing slips apart while riding. You can get cotter pins at your local hardware store.
At the 4:40 mark, I believe the torque figure should be 6Nm and not 19Nm.
Very clear video, before I was a little bit afraid but after watching, I am going to do with confidence. Thank you !!!!!!
I love to hear that!
My project for today!!!! You taught me how to change my final drive oil....and now the changing of my brake pads....thanks PAC-MOTO!!!!!
Have fun, Fred! Thanks for the comment.

Cheers to you in Alberta. Yeah those darn speed bleeders totally change the project. Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks much for this video. I'll replace the brake pads for my R1200RT now.
Yes, do it!
Thank you for the awesome video!we appreciate you!
That makes me smile. Thanks.
Yes the Grub screws torque is 6Nm not 19Nm!
You are correct.
Why no copper grease on the rear of the pads? And never use the disc to push back the pads as can sometimes distort the disc.
What do you use to push back the brake pads?
Flat blade screwdriver between the t op of the pads not allowing any distortion on the rotors.
oh no, I lost my locking pin for the front breaks… Should I purchase some? Or it’s ok to run without these small pins😢

Is the 21 year R1250RT the same method?
Please upload the maintenance video for 21~R1250RT
Thank you From Korea
Hello Korea! Yes, it is the exact same process. I don’t have an R1250RT yet so I can’t make any videos for it yet.
you made look easy thats my first project when the sails in and Felicitys in her new home
Phil, it is an easy project. Let me know if you have any questions!
No cleaning of any parts or grease on the pin?
I have a more current video of brake pad replacement in which I discuss cleaning and grease.
Hi, have you noticed any difference in performance between the OEM brakes and the EBC?
Not at all. Plus, I always use products the meet the BMW specifications.
영상 잘봤습니다. 감사합니다.!
