  • In this video, we're diving into the concept of 'brain rot', its impact on our mental faculties, habits, cognitive functions and also our linguistic abilities. But what is Brain Rot? A state in which children, teenager and adults are exposed constantly to unsuitable, trivial and unproductive content and this results a decline in mental agility and shrinking attention span.

    I am a 1998 Boy and I can relate to everything you said and also agree with it. Since RUclips started with Reels or no since TikTok was launched after Musicaly I believe everything what deals with Brainrot started. Back then I could easily read whole paragraphs about anything or watch 30 minute videos but now? I always go to the comment section first or skip to the parts where I find the useful information for me. (But this video I didn't skip ;) )
    I want everything NOW. And that's the problem, to want everything fast. + this endless scrolling on instagram and other social media plattform to find for example a funny meme and to send it to our friends is like a "kick". We feel satisfied if we found something which entertains us and after that we are searching for new stuff which is funnier or more entertaining.
    And this is quite interesting because it is something new we humans have to deal with.

      Aaaah thank you and yes, I totally agree. I can't imagine also the struggles teenagers are facing now, I feel like the distractions we had as teenagers were so much different and more out of reach - now everything is literally in the palm of everyone's hand 🤷🏻

    I hate the word "brainrot" because all it makes me think about is a brain drying up and rotting in someone's head causing them to be a drooling zombie.

      But that’s literally how I felt scrolling and consuming meaningless content for hours 😭

      I agree but at the same time that's why it is so accurate, it's not a literal meaning fortunately 🙅🏻😅

      So, is the brainrot just a person becoming dubest because of the excess of information?

    Nice video 🥰
    Reading as my hobby helps me a lot to avoid brain rot, also looking for long videos on RUclips instead of shorts. Unfortunately, we have to fight to not overuse social media.

    I Thought that the word rot had a metaphoric sense, like to watch bad things in the internet ,rotten things.

    • @lemonizi
      @lemonizi  18 дней назад

      it is definitely metaphoric here, but it's a very good association with the literal meaning.. the sense is that our brain health seems to be worse and worse, just like things that rot start deteriorating 😊
