BBD & Johnny G. win 2 Album of the Year Awards (1991)

- Bell Biv DeVoe (BBD) and Johnny Gill both won awards (ST) for album of the year. BBD's album win was for their first BBD album "Poison" (Best R&B album by a group). That album featured the songs "Poison"", "Do Me!", "B.B.D. (I Thought It Was Me)?", "When Will I See You Snille Again", and "She's Dope!". Johnny Gill's album win was (Best R&B Album of the Year Male) for his self-titled third album "Johnny Gill", which featured the songs "My, My, My", "Rub You The Right Way", "Fairweather Friend", and "Wrap My Body Tight". Johnny's song "My, My, My" also won Best R&B single Male. BBD consists of Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe.
Other New Edition members are Bobby Brown & Ralph Tresvant.
Competition was stiff back then! So much talent in one place! Miss these days!

Mike had a lot going on around this time now that I look back. They just finished the New Edition tour in 1989, he was making appearances with bbd, making music, touring the whole year of 1990 and did this while getting his whole ordeal with Motown and Boyz II Men (And they dropped in ‘91) together like that’s crazy👏🏾
And he was working with another bad creation!! Like his work ethic was crazy
