    I am using Jeep Compass since four years, completed 59K kms , replaced the tyres after 57 k kms, That was the major expense within four years, and service cost average 15 K for 15 k kms. Very good car. He clearly said the advantages , excellent. Congratulations.

    The great ride quality is due to the face that compass has a suspension called FSD suspension (Frequency Selective Damping) from Kone. You see a rough road profile and highway road demands different suspension qualities (softness and stiffness of spring and dampers) which a normal passive suspension cannot compensate (suspension qualities are fixed, and an active suspension would require expensive and complicated sensors). To counter this, FSD has a mechanical system that changes damping force in relation with road input frequency (in simple words, it changes damping force according to the road roughness). I think the new XUV700 also have the same suspension.

    It's amazing to see you sir. From reviewing tech gadgets to doing ownership reviews of vehicles. You are doing a great job. It's straight on the point and clear communication with the owner.
    Just one suggestion :- if the owner too can be given a mic then it would be better because your voice is audible clearly but owners voice is sometimes not clear + his voice is a bit too low.
    And one more, you can keep the camera on the mirror or dashboard of car using a stand which sticks so that it stays still when you ask questions and you both can be in one frame and communicate a bit more easily without worrying about holding a camera for shooting.
    Other than that everything is perfect.

    Sad to see that the owner is not aware of volume and track change buttons are behind the steering where the fingers rest. Surprising that he never once accidentally figured it out while driving 12k kms. Since he never held the steering from the centre 3 and 9 positions, he never figured it out accidentally.

  • @dishantnarang89
    @dishantnarang89 2 года назад +1

    9.19 there are physical volume and track buttons. They are at the back of the steering wheel... which is in fact even more convenient to use, as opposed to conventional steering mounted control; because your fingers are always at that spot whilst holding the steering wheel.

    I recently purchased a diesel top end Tucson in Bangalore. It was a very close call between Compass and the Tucson but ultimately went with the Tucson because of the space, comfort and the wonderful drivability of the 8 speed auto gearbox and the well tuned 185 BHP motor. However there is no doubt that the interior of the Compass is more appealing than the Tucson (although there is no compromise on the quality of materials used) and the Compass felt like a tank. But the top model of 4WD Compass was almost 4 lakhs more expensive (36 +) than the top model 2WD Tucson which I was not able to justify. I think you should try to do a review of the Tucson as well. The current lots of Hyundai SUVs (true SUVs and not the likes of Creta or Venue 🙂) are very close to the much expensive German SUVs in terms of overall comfort, features and drivability. Also the next gen Tucson is already in sale in many other countries and is extremely feature rich and has been getting rave reviews everywhere. Wish it is introduced in India soon 🙏🏻

      Comparing Jeep to Hyundai is unfair to JEEP.
      JEEP is luxury while hyundai is not.
      no matter how good tucson maybe(Although it is not an SUV at all)
      doesnt come close to JEEP's engineering.

      @@manofsteel646 i wish you knew more about how strict Latin NCAP norms are, even your beloved Tata and XUV700 would have scored at most 2 stars in LNCAP due to lack of passive safety features like Blind spot detection ,automatic emergency braking and so on.The Overall Body shell was rated as stable too for the Tucson ,so it mainly got less points due to lack of curtain airbags and those features i highlighted above.

      You're comparing apples to oranges. Ofcourse a hatchback will corner better than a SUV if that's what you mean by "drivability". SUVs have a higher centre of mass compared to hatchbacks and sedans. But the beauty of Compass is because of the great suspension and driving dynamics it almosts drives like a car unlike something like a Creta. It's a go anywhere vehicle and well worth the price you pay for it. Comparing it to a 10L hatch on one aspect and saying it's over priced is not very smart.
