Toto are probably the most incredible bunch of Musicians ever appeared on this planet.
There should be a movement to make them so popular to overshadow any other band,they deserve it.

Surprisingly they’ve only sold about 40 million records, I always thought they should of sold a lot more.
@@nickavenoso7851 It's hard to say if that number takes all Toto albums into account, because they were released by different record companies. The number may be a lot bigger, but we don't know for sure. I guess Sony estimated the sales too.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Simon Phillips was somewhat of an inspiration.

Normally... I'm not a fan of "drum covers" but your work here is outstanding... The playing is great and the technical production of the video/audio blows away most drum cover channels I've seen on RUclips. Very classy stuff!
This kind of sets a standard. Anything less is garage band so don't bother. On the other hand, who has this kind of money to be a pretend Simon Philips? And why would you?

He's not a lefty per se, just truly ambidextrous and plays open style, left hand lead. Every drummer should aspire to be able to do this. Most can't.

Henrik Andersen First of all, thank you for the kind words. What I fell in love with when I was a kid was more his sound (and the look of his kit ;)), and the purpose of doing these videos is to try the capture a similar sound and feel, rather than the drumming itself. The fact that I end up playing similarly comes as a consequence of a few factors, the most important being to "mask" the original drum track as much as possible.
On the other hand though while I have zero intention to be a replica of him, I have to admit I might've watched too many of his videos when I was a kid... 🤓
And the green kit doesn't help either... 😀

As a kid I taught myself to play . But I didn’t play traditionally ( open handed) Nice to see others play ( very very well I might add) like that ( Jim Bonfanti comes to mind)
