There were at least 3 serial killer storylines in the 1980s. The ones I remember are: The Salem Strangler, the Salem Slasher and the Riverfront Knifer.
I believe that's it from Days until the Stalker in the 2000's. Of course most of the other soaps had at least one in the 80's. I know Search for Tomorrow, Another World and Santa Barbara all did.
Yes Tony and Anna were married. They had a quickie marriage in Vegas. Renee broke them up when Anna lost the baby. Also I believe Tony and Liz were married offscreen prior to his coming to town

The Horton Farm was the farm where Maggie lived before she met Mickey.
Any time someone needed to hide out they went to Maggie's barn.
