Arthur Roads is a good call for Santos. Arthur was more icy. I would throw in some Norm Charleton (sp?) over Rodney. M’s definitely need some crazy to help them become more dangerous. A good fight would go a long way!

The Ryan Roland-Smith shade is great! He's too handsome and charming to be human. It's not fair! 😂

Bryan Reynolds > Jazz Chisholm for the Mariners all day, every day. That dude’s been on my pipe dream list forever.

You guys vastly over value being liked in the clubhouse. We aren't a bitch's club. Guys like Trevor Bauer and chaz chisholm are guys that we NEED in the clubhouse. They are not going to join the gay circle dance on the mound. This is a man's game! Look at the 1986 Mets!

Yeah, Trevor Bauer’s current market totally agrees with your point. That’s why he’s still pitching in the MLB, he’s just a typical ace with no baggage.

@@buddhull I'm just VERY curious as to when we started prioritizing on the field ability wayyyy down the list in pro sports.

@@jared1940 I do think that’s fair to wonder, but clearly it makes enough of an impact for teams to pass on some guys who would otherwise be very helpful. And The Dodgers definitely tried to make it work by signing him for multiple years in the first place, before the accusations or trial I mean. But regardless of anything that Bauer went thru in or out of court legally-speaking he continued to attract enough of a negative attention for them or the league to simply look past it. Remember, The Dodgers also continued to roster Julio Urias after his domestic abuse case was publicized until very recently. The Braves still roster Marcell Ozuna for similar actions, but for whatever it’s worth he did address the team, the fans and the league about it after his suspension.

@@buddhull It's just strange because not that long ago none of what those players did would have even made the news. To me it's irrelevant to what happens on the field.

@@jared1940 I totally get that and a lot of on-field stats probably agree with you, but here we are. If I had to guess what led to the change it would be the tolerance toward these kinds of scandals as well as the dramatic increase in the ease of news and information access to the public. No 2024 team wants to be known as the “franchise who rosters the huge, blatant ego with ties of physical abuse towards women.” Especially if how it’s handled attracts more negative press than it’s worth to keep them at all. I would also guess that Bauer’s probably worn on a lot of teams and players by this point, whether it be him and his online shenanigans or his on-field actions like throwing the game ball over the outfield wall when he doesn’t want to be pulled yet. In other words I’d wager that this scandal was more like Trevor Bauer’s “final straw” with the league rather than the only reason why teams won’t sign him.
