Very sharp for a man in his 90th decade. In the 1980's Ramesh Balsekar was the English voice of Nisargadatta Maharaj but no video recordings survive. If Ramesh is this good in his 90's he must have been a spectacular speaker in his 70's!
Non-doership became obvious to me in my literary work, more profound and more clear than in any other area of my life. Thanks Ramesh for your authentic pointing.
Have you really pondered about what you call your identity? do you think that your ideas ,beliefs and feelings are a part of you? I mean the real you? if it were so, then your reality does not exist because there is no permanence ,no stability in something that is founded on moving and changing ideas and feelings then in keeping rational we may say that they are not a part of your true you which is unchangeable so then what is left? how about that something that is realising this ? what is it? is it always here? is it a thought? it does see all that mechanic! that process! it is not a thought feeling....that ""one""t" inside of you ?

I learned a lot by Ramesh Balsekar’s books and I know deep inside that Advaita is the ultimate reality. But I disagree in his conviction of a completely predetermined world without any free will. I don’t think that God is interested in a motionless, predetermined, frozen world without any movement or unpredictable developments. There can be nothing more dead and boring. Creation wouldn‘t make sense if it was just an already completed picture. I think God loves life, vividness, movement and perhaps he (= consciousness/Brahman) is curious how the universes will develop. He is a dancer.
I'm not the doer. That makes sense intellectually and is supported by neuroscience. But if it was the will of God, there is a clinging resistance to God. Why did you not wake "me" up sooner, resulting in lost decades of life?
According to him there is a resistance only becouse your sleep if you realise you will not go against cosmic law..in other words life god whatever..clinging happenss becouse theres no realisation
This movie is saying the ego does not exist. It does. It is an intermittent arising in consciousness. The movie is on the picture screen. When she says I see no inside subject object relations is still functioning. Therefore the ego is their as a concept.

I just want to tell the Avatar o living Master is in this world and Enligtement is a reality for all the disciples to Ishvara. mastre friends is through the grace of a Master and lots of meditation you can reach the Enligthement. the sickers understand. so take care bye
I really enjoy Rameshs teaching though dont quite get or accept his emphasis on life being predetermined? His statement that 90% of it is genes and that nothing can be done to effect genes is challenged by epigenetics which views genes as being turned on or off depending on environmental factors.
His strong emphasis on determinism of life and his denying of a free will is one of the most common points that are criticized in Balsekar‘s teachings. And of course he might be wrong here. He isn‘t infallible, because his words - like those of every sage - are only pointers to the ultimate reality, but not the ultimate reality itself. Or let‘s say Balsekar IS the ultimate reality, but in a human form. And humans are subject to error. This also applies to other masters. Every real masters shows us a glimpse of the ultimate truth or reality, but none of them the whole picture.
@@Deepak94yeah from there on everything is clear …people just dont get it they say you are responsible you.what they dont get is u didnt choose to be that but your still responsible
1:08:15 This woman wants to "feel" that God is inside her. She doesn't realize that the ego is the veil of the God she wants to feel. If she practiced meditation to rid of her ego, then she'd feel it right away. Perhaps she has no patience for meditation. Then, in that case, she could probably take a more shamanic path to it. Otherwise, if she's unwilling to do any of these things, then she's going to have to wait 'til death to find this fractal resonance of divine consciousness which will allow her to feel that this is so.
jackcarterog001 When people speak of ridding of the ego, I don't mean they're talking about permanently. Ego death can be viewed various ways. Usually, this ego-death experience people speak of in a very temporary fashion. So, it's something one engages in temporarily in order to gain this insight. Salvikalpa samadhi is an example of this. Then, Ramesh talks about the ego being our sense of doership, the feeling that we're the author of our actions, the feeling that we've got "free will." That this is basically an illusion, that the ego cannot choose or do, that we are only an expression of the cosmic will. So, in this understanding, our sense of doership is seen as an illusion, hence "ego death." The death of the belief in this illusion that we are the author of our actions.
+jackcarterog001 Ego and desires happen only in the consciousness of human level or matter level reality. Higher levels of consciousness have different realities. Fourth state of consciousness is beyond sleep, dream, wake, ego, desire and matter
Or she awakens spontaneously, like many people do. Meditation or practice can even be a hindrance for awakening… They can prolong the way. There are many people who meditate for decades without being enlightened. And then comes a youngster and gets it at once. Some masters say: The more your „know“, the more unlikely the awakening becomes.
where does 'our desire' come from? It comes from God. I nor my desire cannot come from somewhere else. So if there is a desire, God puts it there. Then if we follow the desire he put, can we claim it is our action stemming from our desire? Even the desire has to be created. There has to be a sense of separation for a desire to even function. Because desire is only the wanting to be near something. So if the something to be near is created, the idea of my self is created, and the desire for something is all created from the same source. How can anything be free in that context?
In any case you may ask your self, have I really got everything what I desired? If not, then who has the control over my life? Who brought me here on earth etc.
Reverend Eslam I know, but I would want to hear/understand this too if it's possible. I know some english, but I cannot understand very well his talking, so I would appreciate the disinterested help of someone who added subtitles to spread more his teachings around the world. Thank you for your attention.
The way I look at it Joe is that while evil appears as part of life it is not done with awareness, but unconsciously. It is a similar situation when we get angry with our partner in a row. It just happens. As we become aware of this it can perhaps loosen our attachment to the anger and other options open up. The child killer has no options as he is unconsciously attached to his anger and violence. Society, however, is more aware in this situation and so we will lock him up. Law is also part of the unfolding and hopefully steers us to become aware as a society.
Both of them, the killer and the killed had no control over the happening, so in one body mind organism the wish arises to kill someone, and in the other body mind instrument fear may arise of death or to be killed by someone. But we forget that all doing is done by the source, the human being is incapable of doing anything. But in any situation every human being has the total free will to do what ever he or she likes to do or wants to do. But, the result of that action is never ever been in the control of the human being. That's the teaching of my guru ji Ramesh, thanks

I‘m an author too, and I have the same feeling and thoughts about non-doing when I read my books after a certain time and with some inner distance.
Aged 91, he was SO sharp.

Hi,
Search for Gautam Sachdeva. He is influenced by the teachings of Ramesh and has his own youtube channel. I am sure you will find him. Ram
And this is OK and normal. So Monica being a thought still functions as the spontaneous arising.
What is the song near the end?

The best thing is we have always been and will ever be nobody. No becoming to that. Just realization.

That was preordained too. This whole life is a rerun. Like Ground Hogs' Day.
Epigenetic changes would be due to current up to date conditioning.
The point is that you have not choose to be the person of what you are. You had not any control over the genes and conditioning

Is Ramesh's teaching Fatalistic ? So the child killer was fated to murder that child etc. If is not fatalistic then how is it not ?
Joe DuB Truth is Truth even if it is fatalistic or not, Doesn't Matter!!!!
That is part of the dualistic nature of manifest existence.
