Instrumentation:
The flute may be either a soprano or tenor recorder or a modern transverse one (as featured here).
Percussion instruments: triangle, two suspended cymbals (medium and large), wood-block (struck with a stick), temple-block (i.e. a lower-pitched wood-block), two tom-toms (medium and large).
*Translation of the preface:
The manuscript of this work was unearthed in 1992 by flautist Pierre-André Valade amongst documents of the composer, amidst the preparation of a complete edition of recordings of Jolivet's works for flute. It is an incomplete work, in all likelihood the final measures for the instrument written by André Jolivet. As no title features on the manuscript, "A minute and thirty" was chosen by Pierre-André Valade in consultation with the composer's daughter, Mrs Christine Erlih-Jolivet.
Its recording is available with Accord, reference 202292 (Jean Geoffroy, percussion).

The work, the composer's last, is potentially related to 'Pipeaubec'; a two-movement work commissioned by Heugel also for flute and percussion and written a couple of years earlier.
Recording note: the final B on the flute seems not to be played.
