    It will take the media unapologetically calling it domestic terrorism and ignoring any questioning of the term by anyone being interviewed on the subject. and stop asking why it's not called that because we know why and then make the statement that the one refusing to call it domestic terrorism is supporting and giving support and aid to the terrorists by not calling them that. answer no responses to any objections of the observation and when the interview is terminated by the interviewee, sum up by reiterating what has been said and identifying the interviewee as the person and their status and describe them as having presented themselves as someone in line with the terrorist and their actions and meaning. And let that be the end of it. If there is any further questioning later by the interviewee, hold them to the fire. It's their job to answer questions, not the interviewers.

    Why do you want to call it that? What does it help? I can't see that it was terrorism. Terrorists have a political purpose. They threaten populations in order to control their behaviour. This guy didn't state any position that we know of--the people who were directly affected by the blast didn't know of any. He didn't make any demands. If he's just a mentally ill guy who commits an elaborate suicide, it may be a problem, but it's not terrorism. Actually, I think the word 'terrorism' is so frequently misused, it would be better to give it a rest for a while.

      Probably an employer ID badge photo. That’s what it looks like to me. They said there was human tissue everywhere, so the guy got blown to bits, literally. They likely compared that DNA to his mothers, which another newscast said the police stated she was being “very helpful”.
      They also found the RV VIN when collecting debris & the RV was registered to him. Neighbors also stated that the RV was in the backyard for several years, they saw it every time they drove down the hill. Someone noticed it was missing after the explosion & called the tip in plus a neighbor said she spoke to the perp several days prior & when asking him if Santa was bringing him anything good he replied that “Nashville would never forget him”. I don’t live In Tennessee but it’s easy to find their local newscast on RUclips.

    It’s about precedence. The Middle East used to harken thoughts of Casablanca, the Royal Shah of Iran and glamorous Arabian Nights until radical Islam began tarnishing the reputation of the region and multiple bloody terrorist events in series began to involve stated radical Islamic motives. If American militia had organized 911 to continue Timothy McVeigh’s legacy of radical retribution for the siege at Waco TX, is anyone actually convinced the word terrorism wouldn’t largely harken thoughts of disgruntled white extremists? It is what it is. This guy gave an unprecedented amount of warning and left no manifesto... no group has claimed it as an act of terror so it doesn’t classify. It is oddly smug to believe that if this man had been found to be black that the reporting (especially in this climate) would have been anything but identical as far as the word terrorism goes. If he had been a practicing Muslim, sadly, there would be a mountain of precedence for wondering if it had to do with things, although realistically it would still be doubted because of the warning message and lack of casualties.

    • @tracebrady7987
      @tracebrady7987 3 года назад

      Several years ago, a black, former policeman shot up an army base because he claimed that his colleagues had mistreated him during his career. He was not a Muslim, he was not a member of any group, and he left a note that said he was not targeting civilians. It was shown he acted alone and that he had major mental health issues. Yet, the media and law enforcement continue to call him a terrorist despite him not fitting your definition of terrorism.
      Meanwhile, the shooter at the North Carolina church and the joker face guy who shot up the cinema - who both had racist manifestos abd association with groups the FBI have labelled as domestic terrorists - continue to be called mentally ill and lone wolves, despite fitting your given definition of terrorism.
      These three cases disprove your point that "there is no racism to see here, folks!" Yes, there is! Racism IS a factor in how these events are being covered.
      Finally, maybe this white privilege of getting the benefit of the doubt makes white domestic terrorists behave differently than perpetrators who are of color. After all, white people have previously gotten to have a mythos about their misdeeds that people of color don't. Guy Falks comes to mind.
