- We asked Instagram to come up with awkward and juicy questions to ask us... and let me tell ya..it was AWKWARD. We talk about sex life after a baby, past relationships...AND Sarah sings a solo lol. This is part 1 of many because there were too many good ones to answer in one video! We also announce the 3 winners of our giveaway at the end so make sure you don't miss that if you entered. :)
There are several different kinds of love.
Falling "in love" is easy, and can go as quickly as it comes.
"Loving" a person is the lasting kind that though the relationship can change, the love remains through anything life throws at you.
And, there's the "love" that equates to being 'excited' about something, i.e., pizza, dogs, sunsets, etc.
You're lucky if you can have a mixture of them all.
You two are the greatest people, the greatest couple, and I really appreciate the apparent strength of your faith while still not judging others. I have mad respect for you both.
I just love how authentic you guys are!! And I have to admit it is very entertaining to watch you both expose each other 😂

One of the issues I've had with organized religion is the intolerance of the LGBTQ+ community. You guys seem so kind and loving - I'm glad this applies to everyone, regardless of orientation.❣

I am a 71 year old grandmother with 2 grown grandkids, in Canada. I just LOVE your videos! You two are the cutest couple! Sometimes I even talk to you when you says things, like, no, no, no, please don't answer that, to or I can't believe you said that! You are very brave for putting your lives out there. I am sure that there lots of young couples who could learn a thing or two from you two! Love you guys, keep up the good work. I will be out here watching (that sounds kinda creepy, doesn't it? I have a friend who was pregnant and she said her biggest insecurities were in her post pregnancy body, but when you have wonderful people lifting you up and telling you are beautiful you start to believe it yourself, so I wanted to tell you that you are so beautiful Sarah and you body is amazing girl🤗

Yes, I'm here to agree with that part! If you've only been in love once, it's hard to understand...but love is a beautiful thing and takes on so many forms!! I was in love before and knew deep down it wasn't forever. When I met my husband, I realized that all my past relationships/love were preparing me for my one true love, him! Then we had our baby...boy oh boy love is crazy and awesome!

Ok cool… some of the ways you in advertently annoy each other came out in this video. Like close the cabinet door after you get in it. Really…. That’s part of it…Open it, then close it! Lol Then, OMG… you answered some really (normally private ) hard questions!! You two never cease to amaze!! Thanks for sharing …. Almost literally Everything! 😲😲. Oh my goodness you two! I find it so funny about Derik leaving cupboards and doors open! My daughter does the same thing. She leaves lids off jars, forgets to put jars back in the refrigerator, forgets to shut cupboards, doors etc..every day. She had a bit of OCD as a teenager and had a mentally traumatic event at age 23 which made it worse. There is definitely something about the OCD and possibly mental trauma like Derik’s fall that causes this disconnect from point A - getting the cup and point B - shutting the cupboard afterward because what was wanted in the cup took precedence over the cupboard. Interesting huh?
Who else besides me believe that this family deserves a segment on TLC Channel?... I would love to see you guys on a wholesome tv show, your life, from what I can tell is simple, humble, somewhat messy, with common straggles, ups and downs, but also lots of patience, acceptance, understanding, and compromises, most of all, LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of LOVE.
People, we can learn some things from this guys.
I love watching you guys, stay humble blessed and love each other every minute.

I dnt wnt them to go mainstream because it may interfere with their simple happy lifestyle.
Why? Who watches mainstream TV anymore? Who has basic cable package in any sort of format? Plus, shows like that are always “fake”. They do re-takes on “surprises” to get the best shot.
On RUclips, they make their own money from subscribers. They have 2 millions subscribers and each upload has a lot of watchers. They can reach more people, be authentic, unfiltered, and they keep their own money they make along with content.
Plus, most people who have invited a production company into their lives and are on tv, end up divorcing. When values can be pushed for “content” and you have producers in your ear setting up scripted content, it strains a relationship and family.
Mainstream is lame-stream for sure!
There is puppy love, and then real love. You have real love now, and your first love was the puppy love. Both are great, for different reasons, but puppy love prepares you for the real thing!

Maybe I have a narrow minded view of religious people, maybe I haven’t been around good religious people, either way hearing how open minded and loving you guys are truly made me happy. I have friends in the LGBTQ+ community and some their families rejected them because of religion. Even though I’m not part of the LGBTQ+ community, I support them 100% and only follow/watch people who also support. This was awesome. You guys are great.

Hey, I’m not sure how to ask this politely but I’m super curious about LDS modesty standards vs. the laid back culture in Hawaii. How does your church handle that in Hawaii? Obviously you guys and your friends are pretty chill with how you dress, which I think is great. But does it ever cause issues for you with family or church leadership?
My friend lives in oahu and she says it doesnt interfere with church

It’s an excellent way to complete your mission, Derrick, and even for you to advocate for girls who want to go on mission. ( I have LDS friends and favorite authors.) We all have to work together to pen hearts to God’s love.
And REMIND people that each soul’s journey is a reflection of their personal relationship with their God, their Savior, their Faith.

I keep hearing about alcohol fantasies. Just start laughing together and keep it up instead of thinking, “I’ve got to straighten out.” Just “Let it Go” and enjoy the vibe. It’s better than actual drinking. Then you won’t have to deal with the nasty side effects of alcohol.
If you drink moderately, there is nothing wrong with it. It is really nice.

For many religious people there is a lot wrong with drinking. Not to mention alcohol plays hell on your body. I wouldn’t say “there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it” you don’t know their family. Someone in their family could struggle with alcohol. It could be religious reasons or just the fact they do not like alcohol. I absolutely despise it.

What Sarah said about the, ‘who doesn’t want to have a glass of wine every now and again’. I’m not lds, but I am a Christian. I grew up in a Christian home and my family believes drinking is wrong too. But I’ve poured through scripture and I cannot find any scripture that says drinking is wrong. The Bible is very clear tho that getting drunk is wrong.
Heyyyy, I’m a Christian too!!! I agree with you! From my understanding, drunkenness is a sin. But, just having a glass of wine or a drink is not wrong, it’s just the state of being drunk that is! My guess is some people probably just want to avoid the temptation altogether!
