I renewed mine there in 2020 during lockdown in pandemic so try to imagine what I went through haha. You should try traveling around Canada and showing what Canada has to offer. I live in Banff, AB if you make to the west, don't be a stranger. After all, I hear cost of living is pushing people in Ontario toward the west.

I've been living in Barbados for 2 years now and if you see the shege that I saw when I applied for a house for the third time. I've been working online for 6+ years and showed more than enough money for the rent coming in monthly, but this man dragged leg for two whole weeks, did three interviews and still didn't give us the house. I wanted to cry. The house that we got now eh. I will have my grandchildren here because let me hear that I go through this issue again. But that advise you gave, which is what I've done for a while now, is really helpful. If you have a business, register it, and pay yourself monthly. It really helps.
