Thanks Tom. Great as always. Some real chunks there. Just wondering, do you release redfin or despatch them?
    Cheers

Hey Tom how long do you let your fly sink obviously the size of the fly matters but on average how long do you wait to start the retrieval

Hey Tim, if it’s windy and overcast generally not long at all, I prefer to use a faster sinking fly line to get the flies down. Whatever you do though, just keep super tight to the flies as you do let them sink because so many fish eat the flies then. Cheers, Tom

Hey Tom, great vid. How many knots of wind was this?

Not sure exactly on the day, but the forecast was 8m/s gusting a bit more. So I think that’s around 15 knots maybe?

Great vid Tom. Relatively new to fly fishing. Have just purchased a 10ft 6wt for shore based lake fishing. What would be your go to line?? Aggressive short shooting head? Intermediate? Tia
