The idea behind G1 was that energy was supposed to be scarce, and the Transformers consumed it at a high rate. They probably wouldn't want to ration much of it to drones, when they could horde it to themselves. But part of the idea behind the construction of Autobot City between Season 2 and The Movie was the development of a lot of alternative energy technologies that could aid humans and the Autobots. So who knows? Maybe there would be enough of a surplus to field armies of drones, by then?
@@texasbeast239 Well the idea is that drones could be turned on or off at will. You would have a guy that operates the switch in his head to place them on patrol at certain times and like the droids in star wars he could remotely turn them off again. It will enable fights to be larger in scale. The idea of a base which is run by so few people isn't realistic. You will need people to man it, and that is why i say drones/guards who just patrol would make sense. In the marvel comics the government of earth helped the autobots with energon in exchange for helping them ward off decepticons. After the movie earth was sort of the "capital of the galaxy" because the humans and autobots just destroyed a giant demon robot. It's where the heroes of the galaxy hang out and humans started to explore with space age spacecraft themselves at that point. So in my version of G1, you got humans, transformers which see themselves as self aware beings with souls called "sparks", drones (such as the clones that insecticons create using space magick) and robots which are run by computers or others. (the earth kind of drone which would be like the droids in star wars) The last type is what makes battles a littler more involving. The drones would go in scout ahead of the main force, gather data, and return much in the same way laserbeak or ravage already do for Soundwave but instead of be transformers, they are just plain ole robots made for one purpose without self awareness. (you give them an order they do it, and don't talk to you just like you can train your dog to fetch slippers)
This is one of my favorite episodes from the 2nd season, only because it takes place where I live in New York City. "Auto-Bop" is the other one, and and it's just as cool, even though Tracks and Blaster are the only 2 Autobots in it. If I'm not mistaken, the rest of the series is supposed to take place in the dust bowl.
Okay aside from the size difference between Hoist and Huffer, why the hell was Hoist DRIVING Huffer in the first place?! Did he somehow forget he's a towtruck?
this has to be one of my favorite episodes, them moving to my city and fighting crime there, the starscream chase scene, and raoul and tracks friendship!
Okay... Megatron's arrogance in thinking humans are worthless almost got him killed.... Push a button on his access panel, use a wielding torch on his circuitry and watch the sparks fly from his eyes.... Shame that Prime didnt take the opportunity to pursue and put an end to him and that tower could've waited!
Yeah you said nothing but 💯 facts that's the problem with Megatron and decpcons as a whole they see anything that are not transformers level weak and ass but don't see the inside of what they can do.
7:21 ok ok, I know this is a cartoon and it's a cartoon from the 80s but WHAAT? Hoist is driving freaking Huffer!?? Huffer was supposed to be a small minibot, how is Hoist, a Toyota Hilux from the early 80s driving a bot smaller than him?
@@StealthBeeKid The most BS example I can think of is in Season 3. In Carnage in C-Minor I think? Broadside flys above Devastator in Jet mode, transforms into an aircraft carrier, grows huge, and crushes him.

And if you think about it, his engine is located inside his lower legs, which have to extend and then separate during his transformation process. So this delicate wire should have been stressed and busted a long time ago. Why did they just put it back in there all loose and floppy again, then?
Oh please.. Are we really supposed to buy that super advanced alien Tracks, just can't steer straight enough, to not run into a light pole, and damage the one thing that should be located in the middle instead of underneath the bumper cover? 😂 And more importantly, where exactly is Hoist taking off to with that car, after interfering with human laws and adding hit and run to their record?! For real here..🤣

Pine Barons I learned so much from Transformers G1 as a kid. There’s so much of this show that a live action series be awesome with todays technology and the show could even be In the 80s period like the bumblebee movie.
Does anyone remember watching these on commercial TV back in the 80's? More specifically with some networks and how they would interrrupt the cartoon with stupid stuff. Competitions etc.. Dragging out the entire episode to over an hour. It could have been just an Australian thing. 10 year old me missed the ending to this episode. Because we had to go out. It still annoys me all these years later. I did see get to see it eventually like a year or more after. I could have recorded it but we were away on holidays at the time with no VCR.
New York was everywhere on the big screen and small screen in the 80's. I can't help but feel that Ghostbusters really set the trend. So TF had to do a show set there as well. That's my guess anyway.
There isn't as much difference as you might think. When everything was "bright and new", that was beyond a long time ago. Any city eventually reaches that point of dysfunction and clean up where it appears more like a stall, and things are in the same shape now as they were back then. The good ol' days aren't really as good and old as people remember them to be, they just think they were. Entropy, and the energy it takes to counter it. Look into it. Anyway, New York's always had... trouble. Don't believe me? Look up "Hooverville". Yeah, I know, mitigating circumstances, but still.... And ftr, New York is still a great city. It wouldn't still be there if it wasn't. Always will be as long as there are people to care for it.

The animation is really nice in this episode. They must've upgraded at the time. Love it!
Only way it's an upgrade is if you just ignore all the in-house Toei work. At least the "good" AKOM showed up here.
Tracks is slightly wierd but likeable Autobot plus a street smart macanic did some real damage despite being a hostage....that's awesome

nice

Man, talk about subtle foreshadowing.
@dogma9609 Let's hope it's directed by that guy from Hoist goes Hollywood but is not produced by someone named lorenzo or Kathleen

The Was Optimus Says "Let 'em have it"
Is so Badass
Cosmos needs more recognition and spotlight the way he saves those people in the falling elevator was awesome.
20:37 my favorite scene
16:53 did the autobots really just captured soundwave? LOL
There was a massive traffic jam. The two Autobots probably figured that one vehicle would compound the traffic less than two separate vehicles would.
SHOCKWAVE INTERMISSION ANIMATION LET'S GOO!!!
20:38 Do you just Spray Megatron with Hot cheese or something? Well, that's one way to put him out of commission. 😮
17:29 This is what I call a Road Battle with the Decepticons!
Optimus Prime: Led them have it!
this has to be one of my favorite episodes, them moving to my city and fighting crime there, the starscream chase scene, and raoul and tracks friendship!
13:00 Hold on. No one's talking about the ENTIRE FREAKING TANK in the collection of stolen cars being given to the Decepticons.
Looks like the Autobot Warpath in his tank mode.
Real subtle, Warpath.
That one dude counting the money sounds just like Kup. Makes sense since the voice actors all pull double duty or more
Voiced by John Stephenson, who also did Thundercracker, Huffer, Windcharger, and Alpha Trion.
I watched this episode and the other one with Tracks SO MANY TIMES as a kid that my disk just gave up XD
I'm so glad I can watch it on RUclips :3

What!? So they really wanted to have a Transformers movie that bad? Damn that was accurate.
This ep was made in 1985, which was the same year they started producing The Movie, which came out the next year, in 1986.
A nice subtle advertisement.
@@darknova1552To be fair, after the lava bath he received in Heavy Metal War, Megatron got a WHOLE LOT STUPIDER in general.
7:21 ok ok, I know this is a cartoon and it's a cartoon from the 80s but WHAAT? Hoist is driving freaking Huffer!?? Huffer was supposed to be a small minibot, how is Hoist, a Toyota Hilux from the early 80s driving a bot smaller than him?
mass shifting.
@@pokebreeder2517 but then what the hell is Megatron doing? Just mass shift into a GIGANTIC cannon and kill everyone
@@StealthBeeKid The most BS example I can think of is in Season 3. In Carnage in C-Minor I think?

This has been my favorite episode thus far! 🥳🥳👌
I would have loved to have seen Raoul as a proper part of the team and work at Autobot HQ as their personal mechanic who fixes them up after they get damaged. He would have made a fine additon and brought plenty of fun vibes with Tracks
thanks to his double cross megatron will have future trouble dealing with humans if all he does is double cross them in the end, even the ones that do the job right.
06:03 That's not how wire works.
One of my fave episodes! I still can't get over the fact that Raoul really showed no fear towards Megatron and actually escaped his clutches. It's honestly hilarious! 😂 He is such a fiesty character and you can see how Noah Diaz's character was inspired by him. Both characters became friends with an Autobot that compliments their personality. Too bad Raoul is only featured in 2 episodes though. 😔
- A car becomes a speaking robot: ok
- Then it flies: "You're... you,'re flying?!"
All is fine until the talking car that can transform into a robot starts flying. 😂
One of the best episodes..megatron have to improvise mindless robot cars just to have an army..hehe
This, together with Fire in the sky gotta be two of my favorite episodes
20:46 seems like a HUGE design flaw for Megatron.
And WHY didn’t Starscream take advantage of that?!
@@TPDManiacXC626 because he's stupid
1:21 Cold Slither
Tracks was so easy to take out it was a little bit embarrassing. One major chord and he's just a car but give me a break. I being not sophisticated would not have chords like that LOL. I even thought this when I saw it when I was 8 years old. Still love the show though I wish I had a child with or a boy I should say. Thank you for downloading these
And if you think about it, his engine is located inside his lower legs, which have to extend and then separate during his transformation process. So this delicate wire should have been stressed and busted a long time ago. Why did they just put it back in there all loose and floppy again, then?
As someone born in the 90's, was New York really like that in the 80's?
It was wayyyy bad lol
Look at 21:07
Starscream: Raoul put Megatron down, he is our new leader!
Yeah the human
That beginning is total entrapment!
20:23 who new Megatron was weak from the inside.
Starscream
Oh please.. Are we really supposed to buy that super advanced alien Tracks, just can't steer straight enough, to not run into a light pole, and damage the one thing that should be located in the middle instead of underneath the bumper cover? 😂
And more importantly, where exactly is Hoist taking off to with that car, after interfering with human laws and adding hit and run to their record?! For real here..🤣
Tracks: Autobot Earth lover and Professional bait car. The Teletraan I inside Sparkplug's garage is none other than Autobot Mainframe, a deluxe class toy character from WFC Kingdom Ark titan class figure!
A former car jacker teaming up with the Autobots...
SPOILER OF ROTB AHEAD
Is that the episode that inspired the character of Noah in ROTB?
Why does Tracks like NY? I guess in the 80's, it isn't as filthy as it is now.
Mannnnn NY was way filthier in the 80s than now lmaooooo
Okay hear me out
Age of Extinction
Except literally everything with Wahlberg is replaced with Raoul
13:33 Bro looks so cute 😭💖
I never noticed it was a fat Kevin Nash in this episode
20:38-That was easy
I love this story getting to meet tracks for the first time 🙂👍 I often wanted to own a flying car 🚗
16:54 - That was weird: after Prime spoke, you hear Raul, then Teletraan, then Tracks all speaking thru "radio transmission".
Tracks hit the street light pole and can’t even transform😅 now I know how powerful stunticons really are!
01:21- Autobots stop car robbers, before they've a chance to escape, saving the N.Y.P.D. a lot of time. Imagine they would beat Cobra in the same manner, but the Autobots will leave them to G.I. Joe and take care of the Decepticons!!!
Dang, I think they based Knockout, in TF Prime, off Tracks. They’re so similar.
20:40 GAHHHHHH
