We’re getting new home early next year and in our area We in my have two choices of garage space 1. Single door , 2 car garage about 37 ft long 2. Double door , 2 car garage 18 ft long
I have exactly the same boat in 2017 version, but equipped with the 90 HP Merc of the same year. Only have minor nit picks with it. The gas cap location is in a very stupid location which makes it extremely ackward to fill the tank while filling up your vehicle. Lund do it much better with the gas location up on the side of the boat. The 90 HP allows one to cruise at about 40 kph while using very little gas plus the 90 HP makes it easier to sell when that day comes. I put a much smaller prop on it to allow me to cruise at trolling speeds without an extra motor for fishing purposes. Otherwise it's a great boat - very well built- and I am very happy with it overall. And like all boats it is holding it's value well through the Covid 19 fiasco...
Thanks for your detailed opinion on this boat , i would also like the 90 , i bought this boat used and it was a great deal pre covid. I knew i wanted the 90 but figured i could try the 60 and repower if necessary and to be honest this 60 command thrust is pretty awesome. Very impressed for a 60, moves the boat at a decent speed for cruising, will pull my kids for water sports and good on fuel . For now i'm going to keep it because instead of repowering i'm thinking of going to the X18 because it would be just a bit bigger and i find the fuel tank on the X16 way to small so i would like having a bigger fuel tank and it would have a 115 or 150 or something . Over all though i'm happy with the boat and would recommend it , glad you enjoy yours as well , thanks for watching and subscribe if you like , cheers!
@@MoreToysMoreNoise Yup, the 18 foot is a very attractive option and will run just great with the 115 HP. I didn't buy the X18 because the X16 is just small enough to get through some spaces where I store it. But I don't find the gas tank too small really. I can cruise and troll all day with the 90 at half throttle and I still have a third of a tank left at days end....maybe the 60 is working much harder than the 90 and as such uses more gas. Either way, Legend make a great boat and you will get top dollar in today's market when you sell it. Happy boating !
@@MoreToysMoreNoise I have a 2015 Legend 18 Xtreme equipped with a 90 Command Thrust. You will not believe the difference in space you get from going from a 16 to an 18. The 90CT on it does everything I ask of it and is very fuel efficient. There has been a few times though where I thought it would have been nice to have it equipped with a 115, The only major thing I would change if I was buying it again would be upgrading the trolling motor to at least a 24V probably 75lb thrust, and also the fishing finder it came with was junk but the newer models come with much better ones.

You can for sure but it does struggle a bit with a heavier adult , loved the boat and I would buy it again but would definitely get the 90 on it especially if you are doing a lot of water sports with it . Cheers

Great video. Deciding between the X16 and X18 for the 2022 season. If you often got 4 adults and a kid in the boat would you go with the 18? Also I can't find the height to the top of the windshield while on the trailer anywhere, do you know?
Thanks ,I can measure it for you once I get the boat out of storage ,I've had 4 adults and kids in mine but would definitely get the 18 if that was a regular situation for you , cheers!
Hey, what prop are you using. I have the Black Max 13.25, 17 pitch, RH that came from the factory. It's now busted up pretty badly so looking to change to another prop. Not satisfied with the speed...43km maximum so maybe I will go with a stainless prop, either 3 or 4 bladed. Dunno yet, still researching it....any thoughts

@@TOURMANBOB Probably your best bet because I wouldn't recommend my prop either because I'm not happy with my top speed either,it was better with the stock one

@@jackp2563 I'd go with the bigger door and deeper for sure , I've got a 3 car with the single doors and hard to get a wide or tall boat in there

You mention Fish & Ski. Can an adult water ski with just a 60 HP outboard on it?
You can for sure but it does struggle a bit with a heavier adult , loved the boat and I would buy it again but would definitely get the 90 on it especially if you are doing a lot of water sports with it . Cheers
