Please pray for me. I'm a protesanat considering catholicism but since I lived with my anti Catholic parents right now I can't. I've been writing a paper going over every doctrine and history of the Catholic Church and today my mom had me talk to the pastor about it. And he admitted the Catholic Church was first but said we (protesanats) restored church teachings and we can prove it from the Bible and early Christian writings. I obviously found that the early church was clearly Catholic and if i was to trust Jesus' words when he said that the gates of hell won't prevail against his church. Pray for me that I'll endure Even though the problems with the church right now if I convert it will be for 2 reasons: the Eucharist and the fact that the Catholic Church was established by Jesus Christ himself
I pray for you, brother. Dear Jesus, please be with Josh and help him in his time of need. Holy Spirit, please shelter him with your loving arms and guide him to your Grace. Let Josh know You and all the promises. Let him have the knowledge of the Catholics, of what the Church stands for as You have guided him. Let him know in his heart that he will know all the miracles and love You have promised in Your word. In the name of Jesus Christ this I pray. God be with you, Josh. Go in peace. 🙏✝️
I am 48 and my mother found my Catholic books, you would think I committed the worst crime ever. She just had so much rage. Accusing Catholicism of sort of things and trying to explain the was mistaken, no listen just screaming full of rage
Do consider Catholicism. I and my wife did after being Baptist for several decades. And I was a son, grandson, nephew and cousin of sincere, faithful and holy Baptist Pastors. The Eucharist was my turning point...
Amen i’m 48 years old who’s attended nondenominational churches, my whole life in September of this year I converted to the Catholic Church it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made. My relationship with Jesus is better than it’s ever been. Hallelujah.
I wasn't allowed to attend the CC for years, but when finally allowed I was catechized, received the sacraments and have been fully active in the Church 50 years now. Being in the church, having Jesus as the center of my life is everything, is the joy of my life. Don't give up!
My husband used to listen to John McArthur all the time. He used his arguments against me at one time. He came into the church last Easter. 🙏 Praise Jesus. Viva Cristo Rey!
Amen n! Praise Jesus. I hope you and your husband enjoyed these videos and to found them a breath of fresh air. Make sure to check out part 2 which just aired last night. ruclips.net/video/-4EhmDvO0XY/видео.htmlsi=2_2mBnZNNiNEwP-d
I left the Church for a time. I went to Israel with Calvary Chapel. When we returned we got together for a reunion to share impressions. During the get together the pastor’s wife recounted the time we sang hymns in a Catholic Church in Jerusalem. She said “I know we were in a Catholic Church but at least we got a chance to sing to OUR God”. The next day I went to the pastor and asked if he was concerned about it. He said no. I said “you believe you worship a different God than the Catholics?” He say yes. I knew that was the Lord telling me to get myself back to the Catholic Church. My wife and I were reinstated and have never looked back.
My wife and I were reinstated and have never looked back. Did you leave Jesus or a membership in a roman Catholic church? You got reinstated ? This sounds just like the Jehovah's witnesses where they believe they are are the only church that is correct . They do not believe in Jesus being God or that He was from the beginning and definitely not believers in Christ. They will listen to the church just like roman Catholics do, but will not accept what God has written for them in the bible just as roman Catholics do not.
I find that really outrageous that a Protestant pastor would assert that Protestants and Catholics don't worship the same God. I realize we disagree about some things, but surely we still worship the same God. That just takes hating on Catholicism to a new extreme.
@@PolymorphicPenguin well if the statement is true and not embellished , then you are correct, however that is not the sentiment of denominational believers.
Honestly as still a protestant, this kind of rhetoric from MacArthur and others is pushing me more and more away. and i have been praying more about this. actually ordered some rosary beads, pray for me!
@Danstheman, Hv you ever attended any Mass at all? You shld. You would not hear any priest attacking Protestants or their churches because Catholics regard all Protestant Christ followers as "brethren in Christ" although not hvg the fullness of the truth of Christ. In fact, a good many bishops, priests and even Cardinals of the Catholic Church are aping Protestants and trying their best to inject Protestantism into Catholic faith practice.😂😂🙄
@@arj8449 You are hilarious. Goodness don't you realise the Catholic Church has been "splitting" for 2,000yrs and still the devil himself has not prevailed against it to any extent...except for that psychotic Catholic monk, spawn of the devil, who did drive a wedge into Mother Church. And it is that wedge that has been splintering ever since now into 45,000 Protestant wannabe churches which cannot agree with each other at all.😂😂😂🙄
Im in the same boat! Just got my beads on the 23rd and had a midnight Rosary prayer session into Christmas Eve. It’s been kinda wonderfully uncomfortable. Grace and peace to you, may we find the truth!
No it wasn't! It is your inability to read the Bible with comprehension that caused you to change to side of the "antichrist" going under the presidio name of Catholic Church!!!
I'm a former calvinist protestant, I loved John MacArthur and folk like him. I only became Catholic after accidentally researching early church history. I actually just wanted to find out what early Christians believed about various topics, so I read basically all of the church fathers prior to Nicaea and many after. I believed that Luther restored Christianity back to the first 300 years before Nicaea, before the supposed "Catholic corruptions" came into the church. I was shocked to find out that there was no Protestant theology around in the first 300 years. Yes, I know the term protested wouldn't exist obviously, but I thought that they basic beliefs would be there. But they weren't. Instead, I found all the early Christians were Catholic, and any non-catholic group you could find would be considered heretical even to Protestants.
People in a neighborhood church have shared the exact opposite conclusion after researching history. Those who are permanently X-Catholics. Jesuit oath & that branch of priests (from a neutral source) was the final deciding factor for me.
@@ShirleyAnnPetrillo-oj7sc there's no way that you studied church history and read all of the church fathers from 30 ad until Constantine and came away thinking these Christians were theologically Protestant. It's like saying you read the Founding Fathers of America and found out they were Chinese Communists and members of the CCP. It's impossible if you've actually read the documents themselves , be it the Federalist Papers/Constitution for American history or the early church fathers for Christianity. And no, the new testament doesn't count as the writings of the early Church Fathers. Saying your read the book of Acts and think that's the church fathers is nonsense, that's not what the term refers to. The early church fathers were the students of the apostles and wrote what the apostles personally taught them scripture meant. So Protestant A can think scripture X meant something, while Protestant B can think it meant something else. But we have students of the apostles who explicitly stated what the apostles themselves meant by it. There's no need to guess or argue what being born again means, for instance, because we have the writings of Barnabas who explicitly tells us what the apostles told him they meant by it. Here's a hint: the apostles didn't teach Barnabas that being born again meant having an emotional/mental conversion or a testimony.

Numerous former Protestant pastors and scholars, many with advanced academic degrees in bible, languages of the bible, and church history, like Dr. John Bergsma, Dr. Scott Hahn, Trent Horn, Steve Ray, etc converted to Catholicism after being stunned studying the writings of the early church fathers. The CC hierarchy was clearly evident, with bishops appointed by the apostles, ordained presbyters (priests), and deacons in every church, and they recognized the primacy of the Peter and his successors as the Bishop of Rome. The Eucharist meant the Real Presence of Jesus after consecration by a legitimate bishop or priest, and they believed in apostolic succession...apostle to bishop to bishop. (Pope) Clement, the third successor to Peter and 4th Bishop of Rome, was asked to settle a dispute late in the FIRST CENTURY by the church in Corinth, even though John the Apostle (and credited gospel writer) was still alive and well on the island of Patmos, which was MUCH CLOSER to Corinth than Rome. They knew John would tell them that Clement was the authority to settle the dispute.

I'm just amazed at how much lack of integrity MacArthur has when he speaks about Catholicism. He is low hanging fruit whenever it comes to refute but it's sad to think that there still people who believe his lies and misunderstandings of Church History and The Catholic Faith in general, so thank you Bryan and everyone at Catholic Truth for debunking him once again. @brucewmclaughlin9072 : The Bible itself never promotes "Bible alone." We realised that "sola Scriptura" was unscriptural. The early Church had the Apostolic Tradition, bishop in the apostolic succession. Do you really think that scriptural training will get you to heaven? That is what the Pharisees thought also, and Jesus wasn't too thrilled with them! Or should I quote John 5:39 You pore over the scriptures, believing that in them you can find eternal life.

Maybe a year ago, John McArthur came up, and I was shocked that a Protestant minister could spew out such venom about the Catholic Church. We need to pray for this man who is in bondage to The Old Boy. People who are judgmental and condemning know no peace.
Definitely say some prayers for him and his conversion. And his openness to grace. He clearly doesn't seem to have the joy of the spirit or anything like that. He seems like he needs some healing from God.
John McArthur speaks Truth. Catholics believe Mary intercede IN their prayer. This is false. What about purgatory this is not biblical. It's a false gospel.
I used to love MacArthur. He had a huge influence on my theology soon after i started practicing Christianity. After studying catholicism and church history i went back to listen to MacArthur on catholicism, and i lost so much respect for him. His distortions on church history and catholicism were baffling. The one i most clearly remember were his comments on donatism. Hopefully his opinions are just coming from other protestants and ignorance. This was a good video reminder to pray for John MacArthur. Thanks! May God have mercy on him.
It's sad I read his book 12 ordinary men and really enjoyed it. It disgust me when I hear non Catholic Christians bashing the Catholic Church. There is something evil behind that hatred.
Queen (Bloody) Mary Tudor. Removed all bibles from all churches. All bible printing ceased and forbidden as a capital crime (Punishable by death). 800+ English ministers flee to Geneva. 283 Protestants slaughtered starting with John Rogers. And, we have barely even begun to talk about the Satanic expression of faith the Catholic church yet. Keep in mind that you will honestly sound less corrupt and immoral defending Nazism than Catholicism. Try me.
Yeah right you can say it's concern for his lost sheep but it doesn't really sound like it when he calls us Satan's kingdom and Christianity hiding behind the mask of Satan, does it? Sounds like it stems from fear which is straight from the bowels of hell. Jesus said fear not. His hatred and columny and slander of the Catholic Church also stems from hatred, which is also from the bowels of hell. It's not a far cry to equate his fear and hatred to evil. As usual the Protestants do not address the heart of what a Catholic is saying, they cherry-pick words out of our sentence and respond in a way that shows they have no good answer or response or explanation to the point we are making so they resort to name-calling or mocking or just literally pretend to answer the statement but it won't be an alignment with what you actually said. I'm sorry that trolls come on this channel just to harass us rather than try to learn something, like the truth. I guess that would be impossible for these two because they refuse to acknowledge the reality of what you are saying, which is that perhaps there may be evil behind his anti-Catholicism. I mean come on, do Catholics go out of their way to persecute other Christian denominations? Do we say that other Christian denominations are aligned with Satan? Do we judge and condemn other Christians? Do we go out of our way to tell God fearing Jesus loving people that they actually worship Satan and their spiritual father is the antichrist? I mean these people are literally insane if you ask me! Who does that?! WHO DOES THAT!? Oh... Satan& his demons i guess. the first comment stems from dishonest thinking and pride that don't allow for your feelings or thought, although he is correct in the attitude we should adopt, which is merciful and forgiving, and the second comment seems to stem from a shallow intellect. There. Now I'm just like them. Sorry. Had to say it
You are right he is so rabidly anti-catholic that even if he could keep his mouth shut long enough to let you finish a sentence, he still would not believe the truth you are telling him about the Catholic church. His mind would be closed against it because he has eyes and cannot see and he has ears and cannot hear. he is so consumed in his arrogant judgment and to the notion that he is right that he is beyond human aid. It will take an act of God for him to open his heart, open his ears and close his mouth, to hear what this Catholic is trying to say. Bro! you can talk till you're blue in the face! this cat is not going to hear you. You're going to do a fabulous video that proves he's wrong and you are right and he is not going to perceive it that way. He will make you a liar, crazy, stupid, evil or perhaps possessed... in his mind. He will give himself a reason that he absolutely cannot trust that you are telling him the truth. The truth of what you're saying will hit him in his heart and deep inside he will know it's true and then his pride will rebel at the thought of having to repent and change denominations, publicly. unless God pours Grace into this man's heart his eyes and ears will be covered by the sin of his malicious hatred.
The guy has an honorary doctorate, yet his followers insist on refering to him as "Doctor MacArthur" like he is a serious academic theologian. In reality he's as qualified to opine on church history as "Colonel" Sanders is to lead combat troops.
Thanks for that. I will pass that on to my hard core baptist MacArthur believing brother who 'worships' MacArthur's every word and thinks all Catholics are going to Hell, just for being Catholic.
Sad to say my family attends that church. I countered one of their elder’s messages in a video of my own and sent it to them. Crickets. They hate Catholics at that “church”. I pray for them often.
Exactly. MacArthur, like Arius, is a very good speaker, and as such has seduced the unchristian and unchurched into a spurious brand of "Christianity."
I bet guys like McArthur make a ton of money. Think about it. If he is how can he repent? If you’re making a pile of dough at the expense of the ignorant why would a con, not claiming for sure he is stop his shtick. Serious question. Glad you’re doing the work you’re doing. Keep up the good work Brian thank you from Nova Scotia.
Did you know that the Catholic Church is worth billions of dollars? Some say 10 billion, others say 73 billion. As long as you are uncertain, you are dependent upon the priests. If you have assurance of salvation, you do not need the help of the Virgin Mary, or the works of super-erogation of the saints; you go directly to God through Christ. -Martyn Lloyd-Jones
Or Orthodox. 😂 Most Protestants who learn church history will often learn enough to become either Orthodox or Catholic. It is just because Protestant churches often come across as a motley crew of startups with little resemblance to the churches of the apostolic and ante-Nicene eras.
I was a nondom Christian, Calvary Chapel, for 30 years and found the Church that was started by our Lord Jesus Christ, The Catholic Church, 7 years ago by Studying the early Church Fathers after reading the book "Rome Sweet Home" by Scott Hahn and listening to Patrick Madrid on Relevant Radio. @@taffykins2745 if the Catholic Church were frauds and totally evil, that wouldn't prove protestantism. Protestantism makes the claim that the original church was theologically Protestant, Catholic innovations came about at around the fourth century, and Luther and the reformers simply restored the church to the original teachings of the first 300 years. Even if the Pope were totally evil and spent every evening summoning demons from the netherworld, protestants would still need to prove that the early church of the first 300 years believed their particular beliefs.

I decided to convert to Catholicism several months ago and I’m currently in RCIA classes. And I am blown away at the amount of slander, persecution and vitriol leveled at Catholics by Protestants. I had no idea until I entered the world of Catholicism how bad it was. It’s inspired me to get good at Catholic apologetics and I fight for the faith when I can. Another thing I learned is from a Catholic point of view it’s probably not a good idea to donate to Protestant missionaries. Because they’re not out there trying to spread the gospel to Muslims, Hindus, etc. They go to third world countries that are predominantly Catholic and try to convert Catholics to Protestantism. I will only donate to Catholic charities.

I pray that you learn to read your Bible with an open mind. But mostly, that you just learn to read with insight! There are many official, and historical, doctrines in Catholicism, that is absolutely "anti-Christ"! That is why many Biblical scholars call the Catholic church "anti-Christ" or even "The Anti-Christ"! I'm of the opinion that the Anti-Christ, is deeply imbedded in both Catholicism and Islam! Even in the whole Christian church of today! Especially if one sees what is happening with gay marriages and approval of the trans-community by so many "Christian" churches today! All part of the works of the "anti-Christ"!! Be vigilant?
To be honest, all these different denominations and cults caused me so many issues when i was around 18. At that time, I just gotten to know the Lord through the Catholic Church and was in a good place and being prayerful and at peace. But yet I was too young and weak when mormonism, 7th Day Adventist and Protestants came to my door or had flyers talking ill about Catholicism. It caused me a lot of fear and frustration trying to find the 'true' Church, not knowing I was already in one, til the point I got so angry and gave up going to any Church. This is what division can cause people like myself. Its only in recent years that I started to believe again in the Catholic Church, after doing some studying from podcasts and youtube videos etc. Right now, I am 44 years old and halfway through RCIA and I pray there will be nothing to mislead me again.

The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 She gave birth to a son, a male child who is destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. @@The_Word_Is_The_Way "co redemptrix" is not one of the Marian dogmas of the Catholic Church. But even with that said, it doesn't mean Mary is a separate redeemer with Christ, but that she is an instrument that God used to bring salvation. Because she obeyed God, and said "let it be done to me according to your word", Jesus came into the world for our salvation. In this way, she did the opposite of Eve in Genesis, who disobeyed and brought sin into the world. So because she cooperated with God and obeyed him, Jesus was born. This is what the early Church believed too: "The Lord then was manifestly coming to his own things, and was sustaining them by means of that creation that is supported by himself. He was making a recapitulation of that disobedience that had occurred in connection with a tree, through the obedience that was upon a tree [i.e., the cross]. Furthermore, the original deception was to be done away with-the deception by which that virgin Eve (who was already espoused to a man) was unhappily misled. That this was to be overturned was happily announced through means of the truth by the angel to the Virgin Mary (who was also [espoused] to a man). . . . So if Eve disobeyed God, yet Mary was persuaded to be obedient to God. In this way, the Virgin Mary might become the advocate of the virgin Eve. And thus, as the human race fell into bondage to death by means of a virgin, so it is rescued by a virgin. Virginal disobedience has been balanced in the opposite scale by virginal obedience. For in the same way, the sin of the first created man received amendment by the correction of the First-Begotten." -Irenaeus in Against Heresies. So this teaching is nothing new. In fact, you and I can rightly be said to be "co-redemptors", since we also are instruments that God can use when we cooperate with God by sharing the truth with others and bringing the gospel to them. This doesn't contradict the truth that Jesus is the only savior of the world who can reconcile us with God.

I hear ya! I have a fundamentalist neighbor, he knows the Bible as if he wrote it! He is totally against the Catholic Church and leaves fundamentalist magazines with me after he finishes reading them. He says he can't throw them away. Thank you so much for this! I see so much Catholic apologetics going after "low hanging fruit." People like John MacArthur and the late RC Sproul are real heroes in the Calvinist evangelical community. I myself was part of a group when I was in the Air Force in Germany that venerated these two men. The anti-Catholic sentiment was very strong. Engaging with and exposing their arguments will go a long way toward reaching followers of teachers like them because they are so popular. Even if they don't see your arguments, hopefully they will have to at least reconsider what their favorite scholars are saying based on your replies. May God bless the work you are doing.
For Purgatory guess McArthur hasn't read: 1 Cor 3:15 - “he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.” Lk 12:59; 1 Pet 1:7; Mt 5:25-26 - examples of temporal punishment Heb 12:6-11 - God’s painful discipline Mt 12:32 - no forgiveness…nor in the age to come. Rev 21:27 - nothing unclean shall enter heaven Heb 12:23 - souls in heaven “having been made perfect.” Col 1:24 - “extra” suffering
@WeaponofChoice-hx2hn : 🤣😂 Once saved always saved is a lie from Hell Repentance and conversion is a choice that we make daily. Jesus says what he means and means what he says. Matthew 6:-9-15 9) So you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be held holy, 10) your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. 11) Give us today our daily bread. 12) And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven those who are in debt to us. 13) And do not put us to the test, but save us from the Evil One. 14) 'Yes, if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father will forgive you yours; 15) but if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failings either. So according to Jesus, a condition for having our sins forgiven is that we forgive others. If the condition was not met, the individual would not be forgiven of their sins, So, if all our future sins were already forgiven initially when we first came into a saving relationship with Christ, then this command of Christ to ask God to forgive us on condition that we forgive others throughout the Christian life, would be unintelligible. It would not make sense. So, that Jesus gives us the command to pray this prayer throughout the Christian life entails that we need to have our sins forgiven throughout the Christian life as we sin. We need to pray this prayer continuously throughout the Christian life, because we continuously are faced with temptation. And in the moment we need the help of God. We also pray deliver us from evil. Once again, an ongoing prayer that we pray throughout the Christian life. It’s within this context that we need to ask for God’s forgiveness of our sins on condition that we forgive others implying that this is something we ask and request throughout the Christian life. Luke 9:23 Then, speaking to all, he said, 'If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross every day and follow me. James 2:14 14 How does it help, my brothers, when someone who done a single good act claims to have faith? Will that faith bring salvation? If we accept Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, confess him as Lord, yet commit bad actions, God judges accordingly. Matthew 12:37 37) By your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned. Our acceptance of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross does not abdicate our responsibility live the Gospel. Salvation is not assured. Salvation is not by faith alone for the Bible says that we will be held accountable by our words and that much will be entrusted to us! Nowhere in the Bible does it say salvation is by faith alone. This teaching is un-Scriptural. James 2:26 26 As a body without a spirit is dead, so is faith without deeds. Accepting Jesus is only the first step in a journey of faith. Living that faith is the rest of the journey. Paul understood this when he instructs the Philipians (2:12) to work out their salvation with fear and trembling. If he believed that salvation was a sure thing through faith alone he would not direct them to work out their salvation because he would be able to assure them of their place in heaven. Matthew 25:44-46 44 Then it will be their turn to ask, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty, a stranger or lacking clothes, sick or in prison, and did not come to your help?" 45 Then he will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you neglected to do this to one of the least of these, you neglected to do it to me." 46 And they will go away to eternal punishment, and the upright to eternal life.' Matthew 7:21-23 21 'It is not anyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," who will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven. 22 When the day comes many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?" 23 Then I shall tell them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, all evil doers!
We as Catholics need to learn our faith well, that way we will not fall for wolves like John Macarthur. And Baptist Successionism is only one of Macarthur's errors.
God bless...
1. First point and at around: 9:00 you’re argument is odd. Just because there was only one church called Catholic and there’s a group of other people that follow Jesus but haven’t named themselves officially and build something so large it exists forever doesn’t mean they didn’t exist. Example, I disagree with Catholics at times and Protestants, but idk what to call myself, but i still exist lol. 2. 17:31 - Mary. He says you worship Mary more than Jesus…well you can see why when the rosary itself has 50 prayers speaking to Mary and only 10 prayers specifically to Jesus…that’s 5x more! Call it what you want but you’re giving 5x more attention to Mary; no matter how you try to twist it….because you coulda made it 50 our fathers and 10 Hail Marys, but the Catholics didn’t. 3. Slanderers, yaaa…but don’t forget Jesus would slander the people who were false teachers and even call some names. 4. Money making scheme, Jesus told the apostles to go out and preach and not to take one nickel for their belt in John….also making money by selling books is much different than asking people to pay you to pray for their dead relatives….as one is just a book and the other is preying on those in a bad situation.
Thanks for the comment. That's just it, there weren't other groups that followed Jesus except Catholics (and Coptics/Orthodox). Yes, there were other groups in history. But they weren't Christians, and that's the main point. For example, there were Gnostics, and they claimed to follow Jesus, but obviously we know they were heretics who were condemned in the Bible. The groups down through history were just heretical groups that broke away from the true church of Jesus Christ with false doctriend, like the Arians, Nestorians, Waldensians, Anabaptists, etc. There was not this other secret Christian unnamed group that existed alongside the Catholic Church. Anyone who was outside the church was outside of Christ's church..
2. Praying to Mary, so called more than jesus so-called, doesn't mean we worship Mary more than Jesus. You need much better evidence than this, and an actual understanding of the Rosary would help. :) The rosary is primarily all about Jesus. It's actually primarily meditation on scripture, on the life, and resurrection of Jesus and the Gospels. So, it's asking Mary to pray for us to Jesus. So that we can follow him better, conform our lives more to his, and put into practice what we meditate on from the Scriptures. So again, it's almost primarily about Jesus, not Mary. We have an entire video on this topic with more information in a true story that we had with a protestant pastor on this. ruclips.net/video/i1rUSxXSlL4/видео.html 3. Do you know what slander is? It's lying. It's saying things that are untrue about other people, and so Jesus would never slander anyone. They are not taking money for prayers. They are taking money for expenses, and it's not even mandatory. If you don't have the money, you don't have to pay anything. Also, the Bible never says that you can't make money. People were giving this argument to Paul as well. When he was asking for money for the gospel, so he could do the work of God and the work of Christ. You can't do it for free. It was different with the apostles because he was sending them out on journeys, he never said that this is a across-the-board doctrine for everyone. I think you're reading that into scripture. Further, this is different than a multi-millionaire who's preaching Christ and making millions upon millions.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial I mean we’ll just keep going back and forth…hence the 1,000 year old debate lol. I still feel my points stand just as true, other than my wording of slander. I just meant Jesus called out other people and spoke bad about them, to those who were bad…I’m sure they called it slander too. Not that jesus was slandering, but I’m sure the leaders called it slander. As for the rest, we’ll go back and forth forever I understand the rosary and I understand that even it being about the life of Jesus. 50x more hail Mary’s instead of another prayer is odd…even if it is for Jesus. There were so many choices….but the Catholics chose to say Hail Mary, Hail Mary, Hail Mary, 50x.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial The Rosary is about Jesus? Well you are either delusional or just plain ignorant, you literally pray “Hail Holy Queen” plus a ton of hail marys in the rosary, how can that be about Jesus? Go read what Jeremiah has to say about praying to the “Queen of Heaven”
It blows my mind that in this day and age guys like MacArthur can still get away with this. Have we really become so lazy in this generation that we can't even do the simplest of google searches to see he isn't telling the truth? 2 Peter 2 speaks of false prophets..... *_3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words_* Keep up the good work Bryan. God Bless
Mr. MacArthur''s disdain and sarcasm toward Mother Teresa in one of his "sermons "was bit disturbing, no doubt his disdain help founded in her poverty for Christ, making him so uneasy given his multimillionaire status, as so many of these protestant pastors are, their "religion" being extremely lucrative indeed. So many are, "Pastors for Profit at the expense of Our Blessed Lord. AVE MARIA!
Speaking as a fairly new convert here, this is great! It would also be great if you can do some videos debunking Dr. David Jeremiah. He is very focused on the Rapture.
I used to see a therapist, he had been a Greek Orthodox priest. I asked him if he believed the rapture. He said he did not, because it is not in the Bible!
BTW I used to be protestant, but since a child, I was drawn to the Catholic Church. I married a man that was against the Catholic Church and Jews, he had the same silly ideas about Catholics as McArthur. We divorced in 1988, and the hypocrite's girlfriend, who became his wife shortly after the divorce was all about status and money. He was a doctor so he was just fine with his stepdaughter married into a very wealthy Catholic Family and she became Catholic. He thinks he is a reborn Christian and the Angel of God appeared to him very early one morning when he went from a weak believer to a very strong Christian who read the Bible continually. He did not live his life anything like I have heard of those who were sketchy characters, even athiest, and had a complete turn around after their experience. The arrogance of my ex who never changed after that experience, but had no problem with leaving his wife and two sons in bankruptcy and divorce all the while seeing his future wife behind my back was what the Devil would have him do. Getting a lot of pleasure out of my pain, leaving me penniless, and making my life as miserable as both he and his wife did, only told me the angel he thought came to him in the early morning hours years ago was not an Angel of Light, it was Satan.
I would LOVE to see you and McArthur debate on this subject! Also Ray Comfort. He😡 is constantly on the street bad mouthing the Catholics. These pastors need to hear the truth instead of allowing them to get away with their lies and spreading their hate of Catholics on information that is not true.
Strong defense of the Catholic Church. You do well to contradict the many criticisms and blunders that Protestants slanderously make against the Catholic Church.
@@benjaminsymon You're in the wrong church. Jesus Christ himself founded the Catholic Church upon Peter, the apostles and the prophets more than two thousand years ago whereas your church was founded some five hundred years ago on false doctrines by deceived and sinful men. Christ gave the keys of the kingdom of God to St Peter alone and the authority to lead the universal church. Of course, there are imperfect men in the church but the Lord Jesus Christ, the head of the church is perfect. Only his church, the Catholic church, his body is officially recognized by the Lord. I'm sorry to say that on Judgment Day he might tell you "I don't know you."
@mack6429 : Protestants glorify themselves, by claiming that they know the secret to getting to heaven, it's just muttering a few words and they are saved. Once saved always saved is a lie from Hell Repentance and conversion is a choice that we make daily.
@mack6429 : Faith without works You are not saved by faith alone, but! by works of love. John 8:51 51 In all truth I tell you, whoever keeps my word will never see death. How do you keep Jesus' word? By doing what he asks of us! James 2:14-26 14) How does it help, my brothers, when someone who has never done a single good act claims to have faith? Will that faith bring salvation? 15) If one of the brothers or one of the sisters is in need of clothes and has not enough food to live on, 16) and one of you says to them, 'I wish you well; keep yourself warm and eat plenty,' without giving them these bare necessities of life, then what good is that? 17) In the same way faith, if good deeds do not go with it, is quite dead. 18) But someone may say: So you have faith and I have good deeds? Show me this faith of yours without deeds, then! It is by my deeds that I will show you my faith. 19) You believe in the one God -- that is creditable enough, but even the demons have the same belief, and they tremble with fear. 20) Fool! Would you not like to know that faith without deeds is useless? 21) Was not Abraham our father justified by his deed, because he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22) So you can see that his faith was working together with his deeds; his faith became perfect by what he did. 23) In this way the scripture was fulfilled: Abraham put his faith in God, and this was considered as making him upright; and he received the name 'friend of God'. 24) You see now that it is by deeds, and not only by believing, that someone is justified. 25) There is another example of the same kind: Rahab the prostitute, was she not justified by her deeds because she welcomed the messengers and showed them a different way to leave? 26 As a body without a spirit is dead, so is faith without deeds. Jeremiah 17: 10 I, Yahweh, search the heart, test the motives, to give each person what his conduct and actions deserve. Matthew 25:42-46 (faith without works) 42) For I was hungry and you never gave me food, I was thirsty and you never gave me anything to drink, 43) I was a stranger and you never made me welcome, lacking clothes and you never clothed me, sick and in prison and you never visited me." 44) Then it will be their turn to ask, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty, a stranger or lacking clothes, sick or in prison, and did not come to your help?" 45) Then he will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you neglected to do this to one of the least of these, you neglected to do it to me." 46) And they will go away to eternal punishment, and the upright to eternal life.' Romans 2:7 (Proof of the need for works) 7 For those who aimed for glory and honour and immortality by persevering in doing good, there will be eternal life. 1 Peter 2:12 Always behave honourable among pagans, so that they can see your good works for themselves. Matthew 7:21 21 'It is not anyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," who will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven. Matthew 25: 34-40 34 Then the King will say to those on his right hand, "Come, you whom my Father has blessed, take as your heritage the kingdom prepared for you since the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you made me welcome, 36 lacking clothes and you clothed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me." 37 Then the upright will say to him in reply, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and make you welcome, lacking clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we find you sick or in prison and go to see you?" 40 And the King will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me." Revelation 14:13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say to me, 'Write down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord! Blessed indeed, the Spirit says; now they can rest for ever after their work, since their good deeds go with them.' (The deeds are what people carry with them to God's judgement). You can lose your salvation by: being unrepentant & harbouring unforgiveness. An unrepentant person knows that he or she has sinned and refuses to ask God for forgiveness or turn away from the sin. The unrepentant show no remorse for their wrongdoing and don’t feel the need to change. Unrepentance is the sin of willfully remaining sinful. Matthew 6: 14 if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father will forgive you yours; Matthew 6:15 but if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failings either. Matthew 7:21 'It is not anyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," who will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven. Matthew 7:24 Therefore, everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on rock. Mark 11:25 And when you stand in prayer, forgive whatever you have against anybody, so your Father in heaven may forgive your failings too.' Exodus 32:33, Yahweh said to Moses, 'Those who have sinned against me are the ones I shall blot out of my book. Hebrews 12: 14 Seek peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one can ever see the Lord. John 15: 6 Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a branch -- and withers; these branches are collected and thrown on the fire and are burnt. 1 John 4:20 Anyone who says 'I love God' and hates his brother, is a liar, since whoever does not love the brother whom he can see cannot love God whom he has not seen. You can lose your salvation 2 Peter 2:20-22 20) and anyone who has escaped the pollution of the world by coming to know our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and who then allows himself to be entangled and mastered by it a second time, ends up by being worse than he was before. 21) It would have been better for them never to have learnt the way of uprightness, than to learn it and then desert the holy commandment that was entrusted to them. 22) What they have done is exactly as the proverb rightly says: The dog goes back to its vomit and: As soon as the sow has been washed, it wallows in the mud. Ezekiel 18:24-26 24) 'But if the upright abandons uprightness and does wrong by copying all the loathsome practices of the wicked, is he to live? All his upright actions will be forgotten from then on; for the infidelity of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, he will most certainly die. 25) 'Now, you say, "What the Lord does is unjust." Now listen, House of Israel: is what I do unjust? Is it not what you do that is unjust? 26) When the upright abandons uprightness and does wrong and dies, he dies because of the wrong which he himself has done. Hebrews 10: 26 26) If, after we have been given knowledge of the truth, we should deliberately commit any sins, then there is no longer any sacrifice for them. Romans 11: 22 22) Remember God's severity as well as his goodness: his severity to those who fell, and his goodness to you as long as you persevere in it; if not, you too will be cut off.
@mack6429 : Protestants claim that they know all about the Catholic church, (when in actual fact they know nothing) the actually believe that they are saved and yet! They condemn Catholics to hell. I don't know about you, but that is judging. Luke 6:37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven. Proverbs 21:17 Faithful love brings its own reward, the inflexible injure their own selves. Galatians 6:1-1 Brothers, even if one of you is caught doing something wrong, those of you who are spiritual should set that person right in a spirit of gentleness; and watch yourselves that you are not put to the test in the same way. Matthew 7:1-2 1 'Do not judge, and you will not be judged; 2 because the judgements you give are the judgements you will get, and the standard you use will be the standard used for you.
@mack6429 : Protestants claim if a person doesn't know Jesus, they won't get to heaven, this is ludicrous! because the prophets of the old testament never knew Jesus, but they prayed and served God. Jesus said: I am the Way; I am Truth and Life. No one can come to the Father except through me. (John 14:6) This affirmation is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church: “Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation” Anyone who is ever saved is not saved by his or her false religious beliefs (i.e. Judaism that rejects Christ, Islam that denies Jesus is the Son of God, etc.); rather, they can be saved in spite of them. If they are ignorant of the truth through no fault of their own (they have never had the opportunity to either hear or understand the truth), then the limited amount of truth that they do have “among shadows and images,” and “all goodness and truth found in these religions [serve] as ‘a preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life’ Jesus also said, “If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin” (John 15:22; see also John 9:41). Jesus presents a very important principle here: a person is not responsible for what they could not have known. The implication is that it is possible to have a salvific link with Christ without knowing him formally. If this is so, and it is, according to Scripture, then it stands to reason that in the same way, one can have a salvific relationship with the Church without knowing the truth that the Church is the fullness of Christ on this earth (see also the case of Cornelius the centurion in Acts 10:1-4, 34-35) Acts 10:1-4 1) One of the centurions of the Italica cohort stationed in Caesarea was called Cornelius. 2) He and the whole of his household were devout and God-fearing, and he gave generously to Jewish causes and prayed constantly to God. 3) One day at about the ninth hour he had a vision in which he distinctly saw the angel of God come into his house and call out to him, 'Cornelius!' 4) He stared at the vision in terror and exclaimed, 'What is it, Lord?' The angel answered, 'Your prayers and charitable gifts have been accepted by God. What I mean by a “formal relationship” with the Church is that a person has been formally baptized into Christ and has made a profession of faith. Acts 10: 34-35 34) Then Peter addressed them, 'I now really understand', he said, 'that God has no favourites, 35) but that anybody of any nationality who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him. Even “those who, without blame on their part, have not yet arrived at an explicit knowledge of God and with His grace strive to lead a good life” will not be denied by Divine Providence what the Council fathers called “the helps necessary for salvation” We must remember that we are not the judges of salvation. God is the sole and final judge. We do not know who is truly “invincibly ignorant” and who is not. We must be careful and leave the judging to God.
I was born and raised in the Amish church an Anabaptist movement of the 16th century. the Catholic church has killed approximately 3.000 of my forefathers by drowning ,burning decapitation after first torturing them with screws .stretching on racks and cutting out there tongues. these things were done by the decree of the pope himself who says he is the vicar of Christ. A person who stands in the place of Jesus. We are terrified of this institution.
Can you show us the decree? Can you find this in any encyclopedia? Sounds like a big claim without any facts to back it up. So many conspiracy theories about the Catholic Church in very few of them if any are true.
If I were Protestant, I would not give him the time of day. Anyone whose heart is so full of hatred can't have Jesus dwelling there. It's impossible. In the grand scheme of God's created world, how can a puny human think they have all the answers. Such hubris and intellectual pride claiming to think he's right and we're or anyone else is wrong. We know nothing in comparison to the Omnipotent Godhead. What we have is the teachings of our Savior and the apostles who had struggled to understand our Redeemer. Thankfully, with the help of the Holy Ghost, they managed to leave an accounting (Scripture) of Jesus Christ. He should read the story on the Exorcism of Aubrey. The Calvinists in attendance converted when the Eucharist applied to her finally released the demons. Look it up, Johnny.
Thank you for this Brian. John is so anti Catholic it’s blinding his own faith. I had a similar discussion with a street preacher that put me down for being Catholic. I returned a month later to him and asked him if not the Catholic Church which we will put to one side, which of the denominations is the right one?! He looked at the floor and told me the believing ones!?!😂. I said well let’s include the Catholic Church back in Again! Such a stupid argument to make. God bless
Why would you have any respect for a man-sect and its leader in the first place? They have no authority to do what they do and no right to exist whatsoever. They keep people away from Christ's Chruch and from coking to a knowledge of the truth, so how can you respect that? You should hate and detest it.
Way to go Bryan, another great video. I am using your arguments in my teaching with teenagers in the hope of preparing them for when they face anti-catholic arguments. I cannot wait for the next installment.
Steven, Protestants see us as just as bad as Muslims or probably worse because we're claiming to be Christians. But they see us as evil, which is why they try to convert us.
Hi there I appreciate this video and all you do. I have been trying to find the "re-preseentation" in the catechism of trent but cannot seem to find that paragraph you point out here at 30:38 Can u help me find that

I’ve read that it was a Protestant minister who said that Catholics who leave The Church are not well catechized, but Protestants who become Catholics know the Bible well. When my pastor told me that he used to be a Baptist, I asked him if that was the case with him (that it was because he knew the Bible well), and he responded in the affirmative. As for just who that Protestant minister was who made that observation, I have no idea. The text I was reading never said. But I’m guessing that he is someone with at least some stature within the Protestant world.
I listened to JM interpretation on Jonah and the Whale. JM has a deep need to put his man made interpretations and additives on the story in order to fit his own agenda. Its funny how someone who claims to know scripture can adulterate and impurify the word of God and still call himself a Christian. Then again, the Pharisees seen themselves as sinless, so it should not be surprising.
I noticed how you cherry picked the early church fathers to find one of the few that believed Peter was the rock. Roman Catholic Scholar, George Salmon - observed 85 Early Church Fathers who commented on this passage and discovered that 44 (of 85 early church fathers) said that the “rock” was Peter’s faith, 16 said it was Christ Himself and 8 thought it was the apostles as a group.
Mr. MacArthur got ants in his pants anytime talking about Catholicism. Usually, in Italy, a 7 years old kid attending catechism comes to gain a wider knowledge of Catholicism in few months, rather than the 50 years shameful ignorance shown by mr. McArthur, an armchair preacher.
God bless you brother! I think he should do some research into the history of Christianity and find out the we have the fullness of truth within the Catholic Church!

@@lindag2711 you don't actually want me to respond back to you, do you? The maker of this channel just called me a liar with no basis, and you didn't understand what I said to you. "Sadly laughable"? What kind of Christian Judgement is that? None of you do what the bible says. I said I hope you find your way because of what you said in your initial comment. Sadly laughable. No compassion. Not as JC taught. I don't know why I would want to surround myself with people who think and comment like those on this channel do. I find the commenters are particularly nasty-- especially CatholicTruthOfficials. No wonder so many despise Catholics; they can be downright mean. Not you though; you're just new at it.
I think you are lying. I was taught as a catholic to go to confession and i had to ask a priest who i had never met who could have been a pedophile to forgive me for my sins. then he would tell me to go and say 10 hail Mary's and 5 hail fathers, that's not putting Mary above god is it???? then why does the churches in Italia have a stature of Mary on top of their cathedrals and not Jesus. why do you have any statues of anyone even Jesus in your churches and on your crosses as we worship the risen Jesus he is alive not on a statue. So are you saying Jesus was a catholic? You have a rosary with lots of beads that represent you praying to Mary and only a few that represent you praying to God?? We only pray to god through Jesus we don't pray to anyone else. we don't worship a Pope and kiss his ring. We have only one father that is God and you will only get to heaven through Jesus not anyone else. So all these alleged Christians that are going back to catholosizem that's their choice i pray for them as they do not know what they do. And do you really pay $5 to help you get out of purgatory wow multiply that by the millions of Catholics makes you a lot of money and where does it say that in the bible.
At 38:05 - Does John MacArthur actually believe that Jesus went to Hell for three days? He does not distinguish the Hell of damnation from Sheol? Also, three days would be incorrect even if it was the hell of damnation. Jesus was not dead for three days, He rose on the third day (Sunday morning) and died only a few hours before Sundown on Friday (at about 3 PM). Assuming Sundown at about 7 PM on Friday, that is 4 hours of Friday and all of Saturday which is only about 28 hours. Or, does MacArthur think Jesus rose on Monday at 3 PM? 🙂
How rich coming from that heretic John “you can take the mark of the beast and still be saved” MacArthur. It’s Calvinism that’s from the pits of Hell - especially the “Limited Atonement” in TULIP which contradicts John 3:16. Baptist theologian and pastor Dr. Phil Stringer did an excellent 14-part series exposing the dangers of Calvinism. Also, there are so many parallels between Calvinism and Islam when it comes to fatalism, it’s unreal. I think I’ll start calling MacArthur “Sheik John bin MacKnow-it-ALLah”. 😎
Hello / Evangelical Christian here: My childhood best friend, on FB, who is a Catholic is always posting mostly Catholic messages. One recent meme he posted noted this word for word: "If you are in danger, if your hearts are confused, turn to Mary; She is our comfort, our help; turn towards her and you will be saved" St. Francis Xavier. I was very much confused by this message & showed it to some of my Christians brothers. Great to here CT explain the Catholic position on Mary, in further depth, as there appears to be some level of misunderstanding, at least from my perspective. God Bless / PTL
You should read Julie Roys investigative journalism on John MacArthur. He has his assistant pastors right his books for him and then claims it as his own work. He excommunicated a woman for leaving her physically and sexually abusive husband ( to her and her kids), and cooperating with legal authorities.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 01:10 📖 The video aims to debunk John MacArthur's claims about Catholicism, highlighting the perceived inaccuracies in his understanding. 02:56 🛑 John MacArthur asserts that from the 4th Century to the Reformation, true Christians always opposed the Roman Catholic Church, a claim challenged by the video. 04:45 🤔 The video challenges MacArthur's assertion that there were other Christian groups opposing Catholicism before the Reformation, pointing out historical inaccuracies. 08:50 🕰️ A quote from Bishop Cyprian of Carthage in 250 AD is presented as evidence that Catholicism existed and was understood before the 4th Century. 11:27 🤯 The video criticizes MacArthur for endorsing groups like the Waldensians and Anabaptists as true Christians, despite their theological differences and disagreements. 14:16 🗣️ The video challenges MacArthur's analogy of Jesus going after the Pharisees, suggesting that calling out errors is inherent to preserving the truth in Christianity. 17:51 😲 The video responds to MacArthur's claim that Catholics worship Mary more than Jesus or God, presenting official Catholic teachings that emphasize Jesus as the sole savior. 22:04 🌍 Mary's role in Catholicism is not as a co-redeemer; she was chosen by God to be the mother of Christ, and her participation is in bringing Salvation into the world. 23:13 📜 St. Louis de Montfort's quote emphasizes Mary's status as a mere creature compared to God, and the Catholic Church endorses this understanding, rejecting the idea of Mary being comparable to God. 25:43 🍞🍷 The Catholic Church does not teach the re-sacrifice of Jesus in the Mass; rather, it believes in the representation of Christ's one sacrifice on the cross in a special way through the Eucharist, refuting John MacArthur's claim. 32:20 🔍 John MacArthur's assertion that the Catholic Church invented Purgatory as a money-making scheme is baseless; the belief in Purgatory predates the Middle Ages, going back to early Christian teachings. 35:37 💰 Accusations of the Catholic Church's money-making schemes, particularly regarding Mass cards for the deceased, are countered by highlighting the minimal cost involved and questioning John MacArthur's credibility given his substantial wealth. 37:27 🤔 John MacArthur's repeated references to the "true church" rejecting Catholicism are challenged, pointing out the lack of unity among Protestant denominations and the historical divisions among reformers. 39:14 🔄 The video challenges the inconsistency in John MacArthur's claim of a unified "true church" among Protestants, given their historical disagreements on essential doctrines. 42:28 📚 Encouragement is given to those questioning or leaving the Catholic Church to research thoroughly, emphasizing the depth of Catholic teachings, the importance of historical context, and challenging misinformation.
Questions for you? Are you saved by Grace alone, by Faith alone, through Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, for the Glory of God alone? Or do you still have to do good works to be saved? What happens if you don't kneel when you're supposed to kneel? Or stand when you're supposed to stand? What happens if you don't go to confession? Will you lose your Salvation? Can you know that you are saved? Do you consider statues of Mary and the saints to be idolatry? When an infallible pope (JP II) apologizes for past actions of the Catholic church, is that an infallible man admitting infallibility? Will you address and refute John MacArthur's claims with scripture from the Bible, the Holy Word of God, or will you simply continue to reference the catechism? Can you go to scripture and show us where it says we need priests, nuns, or a pope? Can you show me in Scripture where it says we need to pray hail mary's? Or does scripture say that praying to anyone other than God is idolatry? What's purgatory all about? So if I'm not saved I have to do a 25-30 year bid in purgatory and then I'm good to go to heaven? I'll check out your video on purgatory. Can you show me where Peter acknowledges your claim that he was the first pope, or did Peter say he was a fellow elder like the rest of us (1 Peter 5:1)? Will you be saved by catholic history and traditions minute 41:40? Do you believe in universal salvation? John Paul II does. Do you believe like John Paul II does that hindus, muslims, and all other god believing religions are worshiping the same god? He wrote that in his book. Do you believe that John MacArthur really hasn't done his homework on your religion? Is there a chance that he understands it better than you? Are you leading people to the catholic church or are you leading people to Jesus Christ? Always remember, Christians, true believers, do not hate you, we love you. We love so much that we will tell you the Truth. We hate the idea that people are being led away from Christ by false leaders, idol worship, and true salvation. You are saved by Grace alone, by Faith alone, through Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, for the Glory of God alone. Amen.
We are saved by grace alone through faith. But if your faith does not have works, live itself out and love for Christ and obedience to his commandments, and if it does not persevere to the end as Christ told us to, we will not be saved.
As we showed over four videos, John MacArthur doesn't understand the Catholic faith at all or he's a bitter man who intentionally misrepresents us. Either way we've spent hours debunking his myths and misconceptions.
Friend, your whole doctrine, the catholic catechism, is literally an affront and violation of Jesus’ Words in Revelation 22:18 - “I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,” Revelation 22:18 ESV
Revelation 22 does not prove the Bible alone or the sufficiency of scripture either. This was written by John when he was exiled on the Island of Patmos. After he had finished writing the book of Revelation, he sealed it up with the warning not to add or take away from it because it was given to him directly by God. The Bible would not even be put together for another 300 years. So this passage is only talking about the Book of Revelation not the whole Blble.
Our whole Doctrine is in Union with Christ and the Bible unlike your Protestant doctrines which contradict scripture and history. Bible alone, faith alone, eternal security, private interpretation of scripture, altar calls, the Sinners Prayer, millenialism, 1000s of contradictory denominations, and so many more. They are all unbiblical.a
My favorite argument is when people say, "The Roman Catholic Church was created when Constantine made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire." It always amazed me how he was able to do that more than 40 years after he died. I just imagine him sitting there in 337, writing a decree that says, "Oh BTW, I'm going to die here pretty soon, but starting in 380, Christianity will be the religion of the Roman Empire."
@@TruthHasSpoken If (and only if) a person wants to insist the Catholic Church started in Rome, there are a few possible dates we can go with: there's whatever date in the first century that Peter officially became Bishop of Rome, there's 312 when greater religious freedom was granted to people (including Christians), there's 325 with the first Council of Nicea, there's 380 when Christianity became the religion of Rome, and then there's 476 when the Pope became the secular leader of the western Roman Empire. I mean, Pentecost makes the most sense, but if someone wants to insist it started in Rome, those are the possible options.
The early church was simply Christian - the word Catholic doesn’t appear in the Bible. Roman Catholicism started with Constantine. And it was a mixture of “Christianity” and paganism. This is historical.
The word Trinity doesn't appear in the Bible. Just because the word isn't there doesn't mean the teaching is not. When you realize that Jesus didn't start a Bible only religion but started a teaching and preaching church, you will realize that it's the Catholic Church, the only church that goes back 2000 years to the first century. This was the same church that made and canonized the Bible in the first place.
Historical? There were over 30 Pope's BEFORE Conatantine, so how can you claim the Catholics were invented in the 300s? There's were Catholics for centuries before Constantine. _That's_ historical. :)
I was a Catholic and left because of many false teachings one, they do not pray to Jesus but Apollo and his father Saturn, look up Dagon, 2 they have idols which is another big one and you are deceived because your pope throws out the 10 commandments
Sooo, you left for false reasons. For things that aren't even true to begin with. But if you just listen to anti-catholics and don't actually fact check anything like so many other former Catholics and of course you're going to believe nonsense, sadly.
Thank you, Bryan, for this debunking video. Apart from your knowledge of the history of Christianity and the development of the Church, I was struck by your disarming observation that certain people who vehemently argue against the Catholic Church seem so downright miserable! Chief among the lemon- suckers are the examples you cited: John MaCarthur himself, and Christopher Hitchens - though the latter was way smarter than the former. One exception to these dour opponents of Catholicism, is Steven Fry. He is a bit more nuanced in his criticism of the Church and much more likeable. And as for the great heavyweight Protestant theologian, Karl Barth, - whom Pope Pious 12th acknowledged as a genius - he is head and shoulders above the likes of John MacArthur, Ray Comfort, et al. But coming back to your observation that these haters of the Church look so unhappy, (in John MacArthur's case, his features even look disfigured with hatred and bile) I am reminded of the simplicity and innocence of children who notice things that the sophisticated grown-ups overlook - as in the story of the Emporer's Clothes. They could intuit which adults were telling the truth, simply from the joyfulness of their presences.
I enjoyed the Hugonots Waldees Ana- Baptists It gave me a timeline of when these groups existed and how the groups are used in distortion of history. Thank you Brian😊
I’ve always thought that MacArthur purposefully misrepresents Catholic teaching to “assure” all of the ex-Catholics in his congregation that they made a wise choice to leave the one, true Church.
I will jump to the first Century, the early believers were called " The Way" The Rock was not Peter it was the revelation from the Father to Peter who Christ is. Keep reading on , Peter tried to stop Jesus from going to the Cross. Jesus said to Peter, " Get behind me Satan ". Jesus called Peter Satan. Wake up Catholics. The Church was never built on Peter. Read the 2 letters of Peter. Read Paul's letters. WAKE UP!
Sorry to say but I never heard of this John MacArthur. I just did a quick Wiki read on him and one fact about him is that MacArthur went to Bob Jones University. BJU is a well-known nest of anti-Catholicism. No need for me to go further into MacArthur's biography. Thank you, Bryan, for exposing him to me. I will look forward to the rest of your series on Mr. MacArthur.
Yes he is, and he's wrong about it. He is either ignorant about it, or intentionally doesn't care to get it right. Either way he has countless mistakes about what Catholics believe. It's called a straw man.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial you are wrong about him. It’s not about the people. But it’s the teachings of the catholic. In fact, he encourages the believers to pray for the people who are deceived by the teachings of the catholic church.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial it’s not about what we believe. But it’s all about what the SCRIPTURES says. Do you really think that Jesus came here in this world to establish a religion? He came to preach the Good News and His command was to REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL! - Mark 1:15;38 This is not about Catholic, Protestant, Islam or any religion for that matter. It’s all about Jesus!
The early Christians were very much Catholic. Protestants claim to follow Jesus, but their personal lord and savior is Martin Luther, John Calvin, Ellen G. White, etc. with over 45,000 denominations and still growing. They don't even agree on one another on every level. JESUS ESTABLISHED HIS CHURCH Matthew 16:17-19 KJV 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. JESUS GAVE HIS APOSTLES AUTHORITY John 20:22-23 KJV 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: 23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained. Luke 9:1 KJV 9 Then HE called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. Matthew 10:1 KJV 10 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Matthew 28:18-20 KJV 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. All of the earliest Christians and early church fathers were Catholic through and through. Here are just some of the many quotes I can give. And I don't have to quote one sentence to try to rip it out of context and make it mean something that it doesn't. Again, you are being intellectually dishonest just to try to prove something you can't prove against all odds. EARLY CHURCH FATHERS WERE CATHOLIC: Augustine (393 A.D.) We must hold to the Christian religion and to communication in her Church, which is Catholic and which is called Catholic, not only by her own members but even by all her enemies. For when heretics or the adherents of schisms talk about her, not among themselves but with strangers, willy-nilly they call her nothing else but Catholic. For they will not be understood unless they distinguish her by this name which the whole world employs in her regard. ... If all men throughout the world were such as you most vainly accuse them of having been, what has the chair of the Roman church done to you, in which Peter sat, and in which Anastasius sits today. ... If the very order of the Episcopal order is to be considered, how much more, surely, truly, safely do we number them from Peter himself, to Whom, as to one representing the whole Church, the Lord said: ‘Upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not conquor it.’ Peter was succeeded by Linus, Linus by Clement, Clement by Anicletus, Anecletus by Averistus… …In this succession, not a Donatist Bishop can be found. Cyril of Jerusalem (350 A.D.): The Church is called Catholic, then, because it extends over the whole world, from end to end of the earth, and because it teaches universally and infallibly each and every doctrine which must come to the knowledge of men, concerning things visible and invisible, heavenly and earthly, and because it brings every race of men into subjection to godliness, governors and governed, learned and unlearned, and because it universally treats and heals every class of sins, those committed with the soul and those with the body, and it possesses within itself every conceivable form of virtue, in deeds and in words and in the spiritual gifts of every description. ... And, if you ever are visiting in cities, do not inquire simply where the house of the Lord is for the others, sects of the impious, attempt to call their dens houses of the Lord, nor ask merely where the Church is, but where is the Catholic Church. For this is the name peculiar to this holy Church, the mother of us all, which is the spouse of our Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God. Lactantius (304-310 A.D.): [The Heretics], having lost the name of Christ, they have ceased to be Christians, and have put on human and foreign names. It is therefore, the Catholic Church alone which retains true worship. This is the fountain of truth, this the domicile of faith, this the temple of God. Whoever does not enter there, or whoever does not go out from here, he is a stranger to the hope of life and salvation. Pope Steven I (268 A.D.): And other heretics if they have parted themselves from the Church, can have nothing to do with its power and grace since all power and grace is settled in the Church, where presides presbyters [bishops] who possess both the power both of baptizing, and of imposing hands, and of ordaining. Cyprian of Carthage (251 A.D.): There speaks Peter, upon whom the Church would be built, teaching in the name of the Church and showing that even if a stubborn and proud multitude withdraws because it does not wish to obey, yet the Church does not withdraw from Christ. The people joined to the priest, and the flock clinging to their shepherd in the Church. You ought to know, then, that the bishop is in the Church and the Church in the bishops; and if someone is not with the bishop, he is not in the Church. They vainly flatter themselves who creep up, not having peace with the priest of God, believing that they are secretly in communion with certain individuals. For the Church, which is one and Catholic is not split nor divided, but is indeed united and joined by the cement of priests who adhere one to another. ... While the bond of concord remains and the indivisible sacrament of the Catholic Church continues, each Bishop disposes and directs his own work, as one who must give an account of his admiration to the Lord. Clement of Alexandria (202 A.D.): From what has been said then, it seems clear to me that the true Catholic Church, that which is really ancient is one. … We say therefore, that in substance, in concept, in origin, and in eminence, the ancient and Catholic Church is alone, gathering as it does into the unity of the one faith…those already chosen, those predestined by God who knew that before the foundation of the world, they would be just. Tertullian (200 A.D.): Where was Marcion, that shipmaster of Pontus, the zealous student of Stoicism? Where was Valentinus, the disciple of Platonism? For it is evident that those men lived not so long ago-in the reign of Antonius for the most part-and that they at first were believers in the doctrine of the Catholic Church, in the church of Rome under the papacy of the blessed Eleutherius, until on account of their ever restless curiosity, with which they even infected the brethren, they were more than once expelled. ... But if you are near Italy, you have Rome - from where our authority derives. How happy is that Church, on which apostles poured out their whole doctrine along with their blood, where Peter endured a passion like that of our Lord, where Paul was crowned with a death like John’s. Irenaeus (180 A.D.): But since it would be too long to enumerate in such a volume as this the successions of all the churches, we shall confound all those who, in whatever manner, whether through self-satisfaction or vainglory, or through blindness and wicked opinion, assemble other than where it is proper, by pointing out here the successions of the bishops of the greatest and most ancient church known to all, founded and organized at Rome by the two most glorious apostles, Peter and Paul -that church which has the tradition and the faith with which comes down to us after having been announced to men by the apostles. For with this Church, because of its superior origin, all churches must agree, that is, all the faithful in the whole world. And it is in her that the faithful everywhere have maintained the apostolic tradition. The Martyrdom of Polycarp (155 A.D.): And of the elect, he was one indeed, the wonderful martyr Polycarp, who in our days was an apostolic and prophetic teacher, bishop of the Catholic Church in Smyrna. For every word which came forth from his mouth was fulfilled and will be fulfilled. Ignatius of Antioch (110 A.D.) Let no one do anything of concern to the Church without the bishop. Let that be considered a valid Eucharist which is celebrated by the bishop or by one whom he ordains. Wherever the bishop appears, let the people be there; just as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church. Heretics abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our savior, Jesus Christ, Flesh which suffered for our sins, which the Father, in His goodness, raised up again.
I was struggling with my Catholic Faith but thanks to your channel I am mostly back on track, even though I made some negative comments . But being at mass regularly now for my son's Communion is really helping. Being a Christian is tough, being Catholic makes you feel like an Alien sometimes if that makes sense ?

It's funny, my Son had a conversation with his German Grandfather, must have been 6 at the time, he's 8 now but he asked his Protestant/atheist Grandfather who created the Earth, he replied, "nature created the Earth" My Son then asked, Who created Nature ? haha his German Grandfather had no reply. He's a smart Boy, he knows.
Thank you for this video. Sad. I once admired him a lot after I read his book The Truth Warrior. I didn't know he was anti Catholic, maybe he wasn't always Luciferian. He strikes me as one who reached the pinnacle of popularity but wanted more, as they all do. Satan always stokes the pride with flattery, then sows envy, intrigue and greed. John covets the one thing he can never have, the chair of St. Peter so he tries to destroy it instead. Humility is truly a mark that God is with you, as opposed to pride, where Satan is.

@r.c4914 : John MacArthur has broken the first commandment, he has made money his God. Matthew 19: 24 Yes, I tell you again, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for someone rich to enter the kingdom of Heaven.'
It makes me wonder why some evangelicals devote so much of their time hating on other denominations, do they doubt their own faith so much to validate their beliefs by bashing others? Why would a person in their congregation care? especially them saying Catholics worship God too much. _They just say it differently but that is what it comes down to._ If he wishes to bring up history, then he should look how the man that invented his religious belief system got in bed with Luther and the Church of England. Two leading enemies. Two denominations that are considered _too Catholic like_ We sacrifice Jesus on the cross during mass identically to the way that Evangelicals sacrifice Him when they sin. That once time.
Pray for me that I'll endure
Even though the problems with the church right now if I convert it will be for 2 reasons: the Eucharist and the fact that the Catholic Church was established by Jesus Christ himself
I pray for you, brother.

Amen amen! Praise God!

I’ll pray you don’t fall for it. Just look at what Rome is teaching right now. They’re on their way to splitting.
MacArthur and company are one of the reasons we crossed the Tiber. Good luck on the journey!
@Danstheman,
Hv you ever attended any Mass at all?

It was John McArthur and others like him who brought me back to Catholicism.

Our devotion to the Theotokos looks like worship only because Protestants don't understand worship.

Worship INVOLVES Sacrifice. Without Sacrifice it is not Worship.
glad you got it right then
I'm a former calvinist protestant, I loved John MacArthur and folk like him.
Very well, sad, thank you for sharing your testimony. And so wonderful when people are open to the truth wherever it leads. God bless you!
@@ShirleyAnnPetrillo-oj7sc I would bet they lied about thoroughly researching early church history. A disciple of John the Apostle, Ignatius of Antioch, shortly after the end of the 1st century, wrote about the primacy of the Bishop of Rome and was the first to use the term "the Catholic Church" in writing that we know of. The bible tells us it was first called "the Way." The CC hierarchy was clearly evident, with bishops appointed by the apostles, ordained presbyters (priests), and deacons in every church, and they recognized the primacy of the Peter and his successors as the Bishop of Rome.

Maybe a year ago, John McArthur came up, and I was shocked that a Protestant minister could spew out such venom about the Catholic Church. We need to pray for this man who is in bondage to The Old Boy. People who are judgmental and condemning know no peace.

Revelation 12 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon beneath her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was with child and about to give birth, crying aloud in the anguish of her labor.
3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: a huge red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems crowning his heads. 4 His tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them to the earth.
This is what the early Church believed too:
"The Lord then was manifestly coming to his own things, and was sustaining them by means of that creation that is supported by himself. For in the same way, the sin of the first created man received amendment by the correction of the First-Begotten."
-Irenaeus in Against Heresies.

14) 'Yes, if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father will forgive you yours;
15) but if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failings either.

If we accept Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, confess him as Lord, yet commit bad actions, God judges accordingly.

James 2:26
26 As a body without a spirit is dead, so is faith without deeds.
Matthew 25:44-46

46 And they will go away to eternal punishment, and the upright to eternal life.'
Matthew 7:21-23
21 'It is not anyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," who will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven.
22 When the day comes many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?"
23 Then I shall tell them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, all evil doers!
We as Catholics need to learn our faith well, that way we will not fall for wolves like John Macarthur. And Baptist Successionism is only one of Macarthur's errors.
Amen!
Even Baptists and Baptist historians have debunked Baptist successionism. It's really sad that someone like this even subscribes to such nonsense.
God bless...
I love your devotion to protect the only one true church. It seems to me that the CC ‘s authority makes some Protestant feel small .
And say often don't like authority. They were built on rebellion from the beginning.
No, not small ~ quite concerned and very frustrated. .
We have an entire video on this topic with more information in a true story that we had with a protestant pastor on this. ruclips.net/video/i1rUSxXSlL4/видео.html
As for the rest, we’ll go back and forth forever
I understand the rosary and I understand that even it being about the life of Jesus. 50x more hail Mary’s instead of another prayer is odd…even if it is for Jesus. There were so many choices….but the Catholics chose to say Hail Mary, Hail Mary, Hail Mary, 50x.
Right. The back & forth can go on relentlessly which is the reason why Christians won’t debate Catholics. Not more than once, usually. It’s futile.
*_3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words_*
Keep up the good work Bryan.

Well said. 👏
:) ruclips.net/video/28iiJrRZdJU/видео.html
Dr Pitre Brant has debunked this nonsense of rapture
We would love to see that too. We invited both of them. Comfort said no and MacArthur never got back to us.
Strong defense of the Catholic Church. You do well to contradict the many criticisms and blunders that Protestants slanderously make against the Catholic Church.
Mm I heard the pope pray to Mary not Jesus through Mary. It definitely sounded like it was just to mary
@@benjaminsymon To pray means to ask. Haven't you ever asked anyone to pray for you?
@@davidfabien7220 didn't know that, so the distinction is between worship and prayer. I heard that before. Thanks
Protestant evangelists glorify themselves and not Christ.
In what way exactly do Protestant Christians glorify themselves instead of Christ .. ? You make such a bold statement without giving cause....
@mack6429 : Protestants glorify themselves, by claiming that they know the secret to getting to heaven, it's just muttering a few words and they are saved. Once saved always saved is a lie from Hell
Repentance and conversion is a choice that we make daily. Jesus says what he means and means what he says.
Matthew 6:-9-15
9) So you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be held holy,
10) your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
11) Give us today our daily bread.

16) and one of you says to them, 'I wish you well; keep yourself warm and eat plenty,' without giving them these bare necessities of life, then what good is that?

38 When did we see you a stranger and make you welcome, lacking clothes and clothe you?

You can lose your salvation by: being unrepentant & harbouring unforgiveness.
An unrepentant person knows that he or she has sinned and refuses to ask God for forgiveness or turn away from the sin. The unrepentant show no remorse for their wrongdoing and don’t feel the need to change. Unrepentance is the sin of willfully remaining sinful.

Matthew 7:1-2
1 'Do not judge, and you will not be judged;
2 because the judgements you give are the judgements you will get, and the standard you use will be the standard used for you.
(John 14:6)
This affirmation is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church: “Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation”
Anyone who is ever saved is not saved by his or her false religious beliefs (i.e. Judaism that rejects Christ, Islam that denies Jesus is the Son of God, etc.); rather, they can be saved in spite of them. If they are ignorant of the truth through no fault of their own (they have never had the opportunity to either hear or understand the truth), then the limited amount of truth that they do have “among shadows and images,” and “all goodness and truth found in these religions [serve] as ‘a preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life’
Jesus also said, “If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin” (John 15:22; see also John 9:41). Jesus presents a very important principle here: a person is not responsible for what they could not have known. The implication is that it is possible to have a salvific link with Christ without knowing him formally. If this is so, and it is, according to Scripture, then it stands to reason that in the same way, one can have a salvific relationship with the Church without knowing the truth that the Church is the fullness of Christ on this earth (see also the case of Cornelius the centurion in Acts 10:1-4, 34-35)
Acts 10:1-4
1) One of the centurions of the Italica cohort stationed in Caesarea was called Cornelius.
2) He and the whole of his household were devout and God-fearing, and he gave generously to Jewish causes and prayed constantly to God.
3) One day at about the ninth hour he had a vision in which he distinctly saw the angel of God come into his house and call out to him, 'Cornelius!'
4) He stared at the vision in terror and exclaimed, 'What is it, Lord?' The angel answered, 'Your prayers and charitable gifts have been accepted by God.
What I mean by a “formal relationship” with the Church is that a person has been formally baptized into Christ and has made a profession of faith.
Acts 10: 34-35
34) Then Peter addressed them, 'I now really understand', he said, 'that God has no favourites,
35) but that anybody of any nationality who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
Even “those who, without blame on their part, have not yet arrived at an explicit knowledge of God and with His grace strive to lead a good life” will not be denied by Divine Providence what the Council fathers called “the helps necessary for salvation”
We must remember that we are not the judges of salvation. God is the sole and final judge. We do not know who is truly “invincibly ignorant” and who is not.
We must be careful and leave the judging to God.

You’ve learned how to Slander.
From here ?
Thank you very much. I am learning a lot from you. God bless you and your work.
Glad to hear that! Thanks so much and praise be to God! 🙌
Should see what he said about our Blessed Mother Mary. Jeez. Lost all respect for his ministry after seeing that one.
Awesome! Keep it up!
Really good thanks for your time in debunking anti-catholics!
Been waiting for this. MCARTHUR slams us Catholics.
I just wish these Protestants would grow a spine and try to convert Muslims instead of wasting all their time attacking the church.
@stevenkent1979 right.. they have a far better argument against Muslims lol they just don't understand the FULLNESS of the faith.
Steven, Protestants see us as just as bad as Muslims or probably worse because we're claiming to be Christians. But they see us as evil, which is why they try to convert us.
Pastor MacArthur does not slam people. He slams the errors in the
RCC dogma.
@@ShirleyAnnPetrillo-oj7sc nope.
Great video Bryan. The idea Mary is like a single atom in the Body of Christ was very revealing as to the infinite power of God. Thank you.
Hi there I appreciate this video and all you do. I have been trying to find the "re-preseentation" in the catechism of trent but cannot seem to find that paragraph you point out here at 30:38
Can u help me find that
It is not from the catechism of Trent, it is from the Decrees of the council: Session 22 Chapter 1
@catholictruthreplies606 thanks! I didn't realize the difference and I have the catechism of trent. Trying to figure it out

The Catholic Church still teaches that The Rock was Peter's faith. But it also teaches that it's Peter himself. So there's no contradiction.
14:40 except Mary, right?
We said it was Jesus. So why would you say anything else. You're not being very honest or open.
How ludicrous MacArthur’s statements. Sadly laughable
Well put. Sadly laughable.

Phenomenal video! What a great introduction to this channel.
Thank you very much, and welcome to our channel! 🙏
Calvinists believe that Jesus was expelled from the Trinity after the crucifixion and before the Resurrection.
Of course you are confused about that and everything else in the bible your an Evangelical Christian after all😢😢
You should read Julie Roys investigative journalism on John MacArthur. He has his assistant pastors right his books for him and then claims it as his own work. He excommunicated a woman for leaving her physically and sexually abusive husband ( to her and her kids), and cooperating with legal authorities.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
01:10 📖 The video aims to debunk John MacArthur's claims about Catholicism, highlighting the perceived inaccuracies in his understanding.
Brian you do a great job
Thank you!🙏
Questions for you?
Friend, your whole doctrine, the catholic catechism, is literally an affront and violation of Jesus’ Words in Revelation 22:18 - “I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,”
Revelation 22:18 ESV
I had a protestant insist that the Catholic Church started in 312 ad. They can NEVER agree as to a date.
I hate that one also! No one seems to have ever heard of the Edict of Thessalonica.
@@RealSeanithan complete chaos and confusion as you suggest.
Why protestants don't explain their numerous denominations but always go after the catholic church
To be fair, John MacArthur does attack a lot of other protestants as well.
Show us where the pope throughout the second commandment? Which pope and when? We would like to know.
What drugs are you on?
Hope you return to Earth soon.
May Apollo bless you.

I’ve always thought that MacArthur purposefully misrepresents Catholic teaching to “assure” all of the ex-Catholics in his congregation that they made a wise choice to leave the one, true Church.
Good investigative work Bryan...........keep it up.
This is gold.
MacArthur.
Bryan. Have you ever talk personally with John McArthur ? Just as you talked with Mike Gendron, right ?
Mike Gendron accepted our invitation. MacArthur sadly did not.
Great video Bryan. Very truthful.
JMac is not against the people in the catholics. But against the doctrine of catholic.
- Mark 1:15;38
This is not about Catholic, Protestant, Islam or any religion for that matter.

EARLY CHURCH FATHERS WERE CATHOLIC:
Augustine (393 A.D.) We must hold to the Christian religion and to communication in her Church, which is Catholic and which is called Catholic, not only by her own members but even by all her enemies.
It does. Thank you for the comment. So glad you are mostly back on track. Keep it up. We will say a prayer for you.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial Thanks for your prayers !
One can't ignore the energy at Mass compared to MacArthur's preaching.
Tomorrow my Son reads a prayer of the faithful at Mass.
We will pray for you and your son.
@@eileenrobinson781 Thanks you and God Bless !
It's great to hear so many people in this comment section who used to follow him and don't anymore.
Wow. Another person versed in
Slander. Nasty. Tsk, tsk.
@@ShirleyAnnPetrillo-oj7sc Prove it. Where did he get his Bible? Start there.
@@CatholicTruthOfficialHumility and Obedience are the GREATEST Virtues in Heaven. While Pride and Disobedience, are the 2 most HORRIBLE Sins in Hell.
Let us fill our catholic churches, seminaries, convents, catholic schools with converts and reverts.
Amen. And apologetics and evangelization. We are more than overdue to get that into high gear in our church.
MacArthur has no given divine authority to preach anything
what a rude thing to say about the church that wrote his bible!
The Church didn’t “write” the Bible. The Church compiled the canon of NT scripture which is not the same thing as writing the Bible.
Some take credit instead of understanding that Holy GOD gets the glory.
I’ve read several times in the past several months that the Authors of the New Testament were catholics
😂 John McArthur may hv millions even billions but...naked was he when he came from his mother's womb and naked shall he return; the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh, praise be the name of the Lord. Dust unto dust. Then...Matt 25: 41-46
I need to send John MacArthur some catholic truth Apologetics video for christmas 😊
Lol amen. Feel free to post this video on all John MacArthur links on the internet. Or at least some haha
@r.c4914 : John MacArthur has broken the first commandment, he has made money his God. Matthew 19: 24 Yes, I tell you again, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for someone rich to enter the kingdom of Heaven.'
Thank you to you Sir Brother Bryan and your family.❤❤❤.
You are very welcome!
It makes me wonder why some evangelicals devote so much of their time hating on other denominations, do they doubt their own faith so much to validate their beliefs by bashing others? Why would a person in their congregation care?
especially them saying Catholics worship God too much. _They just say it differently but that is what it comes down to._
If he wishes to bring up history, then he should look how the man that invented his religious belief system got in bed with Luther and the Church of England. Two leading enemies. Two denominations that are considered _too Catholic like_
We sacrifice Jesus on the cross during mass identically to the way that Evangelicals sacrifice Him when they sin.
That once time.
If the Catholic Church is the legitimate Church then all other Protestant churches are illegitimate churches
I'm a new Catholic after 49 years as a Protestant. I just want to say that John MacArthur throws this kind of vitriol at other Protestants, as well.
