I did the exact same thing as far as months of research & reviews on Escooters. I too eventually landed on the D6+2.0. I waited till Xmas sales & got mine for 1475 after taxes with free shipping across country. West coast to East coast. I'm happy I chose the D6+2.0. It really is a great all purpose scooter.
That's so cool! I got mine around the same time as well. Actually in November and I've already put a thousand miles on it! The research leads you in the right direction haha. Thanks for watching my friend! I got more coming!
It is a sharp scooter. Well built. Fast and powerful. I went with the lightning. I needed something more in the line of a commuter scooter even though the lightning doesn’t really qualify for that. I waited until February. Got a great deal.
I agree. My wife and I are in our mid 60's and each have a D6+ with over 2500 miles on them, and not a single issue. SUPER reliable. Only the kickstand is a piece of junk, and the bracket to hold the headlight will vibrate to death if you ride hard long enough. Otherwise, solid and safe. Recently I added a 2nd battery, same as inside, mounted to the handle bar, and runs in parallel. I can ride over 30 miles hard, uses 1 bar of energy!
WHAT! You are both in your 60's riding D6+ scooters? That's INCREDIBLE! I am so happy you reached out! I've got about that now on my D6+ and same no issues. I changed the kickstand to the D6+ 2.0 stand it's its much beefier and way better. Yes the light rattles like crazy. Same on the N6 I just reviewed. I love hearing that you guys are riding around on D6+ KUDOS to you guys for staying young and having fun! I plan to be riding myself in my 60's just like you (I'm 43) Awesome! 👍
@@HobartsReviews LOL!! Thanks a ton!! We are both local So Cal beach bums, and I rode every kind of board, there is. I often tell the older surfers, "I'm still on a board"! So, if you want to got SCOOTER HEAVEN and have the time of your life, there is only one place to go. Borrego Springs. We have terrorized almost every street there over the past few years, and you can ride pretty much alone way out into the desert and its gorgeous. And yes, you'll be riding in 20+ more years too. Rig up right, be a FOD Fanatic, and watch for Bozos! Have fun, be blessed. We are!
Thank you for your comment! I’m 63 and my husband just surprised with this expensive beauty, I havnt rode it yet, “ just got it last night” I rode motorcycles my whole life but never any kind of skateboard, I know once I can take off on it and Not fall, ill love it , anyways I got on here to see if there were any other my age riding them, and yours was the very 1st message as he I saw! How lucky am i , 😀 wish me luck ! Happy riding!
The D6+ is still going strong. I think right now it's only $1099 on sale from $1699 so that's a good deal. Since then they do have the N6 and lightning but they are more expensive. Don't forget to use my link 😉
Thanks so much my friend! Looking at their website, if you choose USA they have them in stock right now.. www.nanrobot.com/products/nanrobot-d6-plus?ref=j30CiM29&variant=43081667707135
@@HobartsReviews Thank you for the fast reply. A few other RUclipsrs said there will be a NANROBOT E6 60 volt version coming out do you know anything about that?
Great review! I have the 2.0 version on it's way and got some questions abour your experience. What's the minimum range that you've achieved on 1 full charge on the D6+? And how does it fit on your vehicle, I have a camry and planning on throwing it in the back seat.
Hey Angelo! Do you mean maximum range? I've taken it to about 28 miles on a pretty hard ride and still had 52V or so which is maybe 40-50% left. So it's got some really good range. You will love it my friend! Just be careful and respect the scooter and wear your safety gear. I have a good list on my website or below in description. Thanks for watching!
Do you know if they are the same as my mechanical disc brake pads? If yes I made a video on how to change brake pads and I posted a link to the Etsy store I got them from.
@@HobartsReviews I mean I e used a solid tire before I didn't think it's as extreme as you making it out to be lol. But you know what is also rough, getting multiple flats
I am 6.9 tall and thinking if there is a possibility to change the handlebar to make it a bit taller. Is there enough loose on the cables to modify it?
I am looking at a used d6+ 2.0 and it has 1,100 miles on it. He says he upgraded the batteries from 52v to 60v on it about 100 miles ago and added a seat and dampener. He wore out the off road tires and replaced it with road tires. He wants 1000$ .....is this fair deal? Thanks
Yeah it's a great deal! A steering damper is $150, batteries are 500 to $700 and the scooter was about $2,000. So that sounds like a great deal even with 1100 miles on it. I've got 1300 miles on mine right now and I've had my for about 5 months. I still feel like my scooter is new. Just make sure it's not a fake or a scam.
@@HobartsReviews hi thanks for response. He says he doesnt have any paperwork or receipt for the new battery. I asked him why he changed it after only 1000 miles he says only cuz he got a good deal on larger battery....i hope its not a scam lol he says i should come test drive it
No way dude! Sounds like he beat the hell out of it. Also, you have no idea about the health of that battery. A quick test ride down the block won’t reveal the health of the battery. Right now the D6 is on sale from the manufacturer directly. So for another $400, you can get a brand new one fresh out of the box.
How tall do you have to be in order to ride the nanrobot? Been wanting one for months I just don’t know the height requirement. I am a 5”4 so I am a bit skeptical please help. Thanks.
I believe the height is 49” from the floor not the deck. Take a tape measure and stand next to it to see how it would feel. I’m 6’1” and I feel the D6 is tall. Monster scooter but you want that for something with that much power
Been doing tons of research on electric scooters, that research has lead me to the D6+. Offroad capabilities is the main draw for me! Thank you for the review.
Same here. YEARS of research and RUclips 😂😂😂. Someone did a video and said as soon as you buy one, you’ll get bored wanting more power, more features, more speed. They were so right. I’m on my third scooter now 😂😂😂.
Putting a large high back gaming chair makes it way safer at 50-60 mph. Trust me I ride this way and bolting a heavy type office chair makes my 5600w beast feel like a car! No one should be standing up above 20 mph just creating more drag
I bought one, I'm a beginner, I use it on a single engine for acceleration, I use two engines on fast roads or climbs. steep inclines it climbs very fast even with my weight of 103 kg, I don't use two motores all the Time due the aceleration, Is too fast. You must be very gentle with the accelerator. What I'm going to try is to set the output of .power to 100%. to 90%. Speed 1, my top speed is 33 km/hr, speed 2, top speed 52. Km/hr, speed 3 maximum speed of 65 km/hr. My weight 103 Kg, double motor power output 100%
Javier, have you tried putting it on slow start? In the P setting ga go to P07 and change it to 0. This will cut the acceleration in half and you can still use 2 motors! I thought the same thing that it was too fast on acceleration when I first got it until I found this setting. Yes you are right it's an amazing scooter! I love mine! Put 1k miles on it in 4 months..haha
I went with the lightning. Acceleration is the same -all or nothing. ALOT of power. I found that if you put it in eco. It’s not as brutal. There is a setting in the P settings that you can adjust for an easier acceleration but I haven’t played with it yet
It's an advantage for a new person who isn't sure if they want to get a really fast one just yet. They can get used to the speed by starting off in a lower speed mode and eventually getting to the top speed. Yes they all have speed modes but if the top speed of the scooter is 20 mph there's not really much to work up to is there? We all want a faster scooter eventually. So what I'm saying is that you can get the faster scooter now and work your way up to the speed. That's the advantage
Check me out I'm going to buy me another Man robot but I got one in 2020 it was a nan robot x4 2.0 when it came in and looking good boy I like that my scooter I wanted my scooter many later today gave me on a bad battery charger and burned out my battery so I got to call over there that was been since 2020 I still got that scooter I got to call over there and order another battery and then I'm going to go ahead & order the Ls7 -72v
These as in electric scooters or as in Nanrobot? I've had 3 nanrobot scooters and have had ZERO break downs in about 3000 miles. All scooters can "break down" so I'm not sure what you mean.
This was an excellent review.
Hey, thanks a lot Porter!
