I just wanted to say that making ghee at home is so easy and the flavor is superior to store bought IMHO. And for great directions and recipe to do it is on Off Grid with Doug and Stacy here on RUclips. And I use ghee for moisturizer also. Hope it helps. Much love and God bless. Happy New Year.
I think it’s fair to say that we would all love to see Ira and Woody. It’s so frustrating to read the comments of those complaining about it, though. Not every parent is comfortable showing their child’s face on a platform such as this, and not every subscriber is a good or kind person! I for one, have read mean or inconsiderate comments regarding how the girls wear their hair, or what they should or shouldn’t wear, or where they’ve chosen to live, and the life that they share with us. Yet some of you want them to put their precious boy’s faces on here so these rude people can play internet bullies and say mean, inconsiderate things about them. Y’all just need to let Katie and Corie be the kind of mother’s they choose to be. It’s their responsibility to protect their children, and I intend to support them in their decision. Maybe someday they’ll feel more comfortable sharing them with us, but, if they never do, I’m okay with that too! Tipper, I hope I haven’t overstepped my boundaries here, but, it just lit my fire 🔥! God bless you all and thank you for sharing your lives with us!!! Happy New Year!!!
You make an excellent point. I don’t understand why we use the internet to say hurtful things to each other in our world. Katie and Corie are the most loving and Christian young women I have ever “met” and I think we can honor them by respecting their wishes about their children. I love this sharing time because we don’t pick at each other. I feel God’s love in these comments, I hope we can continue to be a beacon of love and acceptance. Prayers to you all. 🙏
Thank you for including us. I have no family to spend the holidays with and being with you guys warms my heart. Tipper, you mentioned something being a "pretty" and that unlocked a memory I had forgotten. My paternal great grandfather, Pap, died when I was 4 but I have a few memories of him. He was from Kentucky. One time he gave me a cigar band that had gold foil on it and said "here's a pretty for you." I was so little but I never forgot it because it wasn't a phrase I was familiar with.
My mom, born in Cannel City, KY 1934, always called toys play pretties, and pretties, well they were pretties. I’m 52, in southern Indiana carrying it on today. Hope my grandsons take an interest in the colorful Appalachian ways.
I remember my uncle talking to my daughter and he would call her toys "play pretties". He would also bounce her on his knee and sing to her , " Ride a little pony".
You have two wonderful daughters! The little baby books that Katie made and the ornaments that Corie had made with Pap and Miss Cindy's shirts were so thoughtful and precious! And all the food and family and fun were much appreciated. This Christmas was "off the chain," as the younger generation might say, lol! Thanks, and God bless!
Hey everybody, it sure is nice that you share these special moments with us all viewers. I think I had as good a time as y'all did just watching. I had a good Christmas, tons of family, all ages, love, and laughter. Love you all, God bless, and my prayers for everybody.
This video was fun to watch! I just love those ornaments so much. After my dad passed away, my sister and I made a rag quilt out of my dad's blue jeans and shirts. It's one of my favorite things.
I grew up in Charlotte and I’d never heard of soup beans until I moved to Kentucky. Mama just called them pinto beans. She never soaked her beans and seasoned with fatback and sometimes bacon grease. Instead of cooking onions with the beans, we ate the beans with raw onions on top.
My mom and dad always made oyster stew just like Matt made. I never cared for it either. My family is either gone or live across the country. I felt like I was part of your celebration! Thanks for making me a little less lonely! 🙏💟☮️
It’s especially precious to share this holiday with you all. Having lost my husband of 45 years this last April, some extra joy and family time is so comforting. Blessings to all of you.
Dearest Family, you ALL are so kind and loving ❤❤. You’re such a loving family to each other. I truly admire each and everyone of you ❤ I just wish Matt would talk more 😅 He’s so whitty and charming when he does talk. He reminds me so much of my Dad, a great man and jokester, in a kind way. I love you all and can hardly wait until you or the girls come on 💕🙏🙏
Thank you for sharing singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. I did it for the first time this year with my granddaughters ( 5 & 3). They were so excited to sing it. This will be a new family tradition thanks to you! Blessings for a wonderful 2025 and look forward to seeing more content from y'all!
I got my jingle talent from my Daddy too! The very first jingle he sang me as a toddler was "Casey bo basey, go tell o'hasey. Thee-legged Thy-legged. Bow-legged Casey" lol. Soon as my daughter was born he started making them up for her. He could rhyme up a jingle about anything & everything & they were always funny. I'm so thankful I inherited that.
It was a special, love-filled day. Thank you all so much for all your hard work in preparing all the delicious food and making your house ready for us all! :-)
My late husband was born and raised in Maine. He introduced this "city girl" to oyster stew. Well, I fell in love a second time and never looked back. I make it whenever I can and always fall in love with him again and again. (I'm always VERY particular on how I source those oysters. I live in New England, but I vet that seafood very carefully)
I loved this video. I laughed, i cried and all between. I almost felt like i was there the entire time. I absolutely have a wet pillow now. The love and happiness was so real in this video. Love your family, your humor, and your babies. The baby books melted my heart. I'm waiting on the next video. Make it long.
I so enjoyed watching this…it looked as though you had a wonderful Christmas with lots of love, laughter and possibly a few tears with the sentimental ornaments from Corie with the shirts/messages in their handwriting of Pap and Miss Cindy, and the books Katie made. I would much rather have a gift as those than a new car-honestly. Just very blessed, you are ❤ Prayers for a blessed 2025 with health, happiness and a garden that just keeps on giving 😊. Sending love from Mississippi!
That is how a mother feels about their children no matter how old they are. They worry about their safety and happy when they are back home safe. I still feel that way Tipper.
Not me. I don’t worry about my kids, but I brought them up to be independent so I don’t have to worry. And my patents taught me that it’s action and not worry that solves problems, and the bible tells us that worry is useless anyway. And my kids are safe wherever they are but it sounds like yours aren’t and that they’re only safe when they’re at your house so I’m guessing they have dangerous jobs 🤷🏻♀️
It doesn't matter how well you brought your kids up..we all raise our kids different I'm sure. God gave me two sons to raise and thankful he gave them to me. They are grown now and have their own families raising them well. We are proud of them and will continue to look in on them as they do us. Everyone one has their way to bring up their children and I'm happy with my way and God is too.
In Louisiana we call it the holy trinity! Celery, onions, and bell pepper chopped up fine. You sautee in butter and season well and then add chicken or beef stock and fatback and let the beans simmer all day and continue to season.
My Grandmother just reveled in saying “Christmas Eve Gift” first to all of us. If someone beat her to it she quickly replied “Well, give it here!” It’s those simple memories that mean so much to us.
Thank you for y'alls videos. You guys are, in a way, like a precious, Appalachian, extended family to me. I have my direct household & they truly mean the world to me, but my extended family is the pits. Oh well. Once my grandparents & my momma passed away, 10 & more years ago, it all changed. I tried for a long time to be the bridge, but it really became so obvious that no one else cared. So again Thank You, from the bottom of my heart. Merry belated Christmas Pressley Family. I love watching these videos where you show a little cooking and then you just stand there and chat with each other and remember things of the past. It's just awesome. Make me feel like I'm part of the family and that I'm right there with yall. Happy New year to you. 2025 is going to be AMAZING.
My parents, aunts, and uncles got together on Christmas night for oyster stew, as well. My wife and I love black walnut ice cream. Hard to find in our part of the country.
Oh my goodness, black walnuts are my favorite too! We used to gather walnuts from the walnut trees in the woods behind my grandparents house and we'd sit around the hearth with a hammer and a shaker of salt, cracking those hard shells and digging out that delicious walnut meat. I swan, y'all need to open a restaurant as much cooking as you do and as yummy as the food is! Ha ha, Granny beat you at Christmas gift! The gift Corie gave y'all was absolutely perfect and so precious!
Thank you all so much for sharing your Christmas day with us! ✨️🎄All of your food looks so delicious!😋 I can taste it all the way over here. 🥰 You all always have so much fun and laughter together.💓 I really love the ornaments that had Pap and Miss Cindy's handwriting and material on them.💝 That's really sweet of Corie to have them made for you all. 😊It's a beautiful and priceless gift.💞 I wish you all a very Happy New Year! 🌟 Sending blessings to you and all your family. 💗🙏
I remember going across the road to my neighbors house and her telling me "Christmas Gift", gosh I miss those days. I don't ever hear that anymore but it's special that I remember hearing it in my lifetime.
Bless you for giving me precious memories of family and recipes of the past. I haven’t heard black walnut mentioned since my mama was alive. She loved black walnut cake and made often. Brought tears to my eyes. I watch y’all every day and I truly enjoy you bringing your family to us to enjoy. As y’all say, thems my kinda people!
I love the e-frame my son’s family gave me for Christmas. He invited my other two children and their families to send photos as well. One of my favorite things is when I get the notification that new pictures have been added….and I know someone miles away is sharing their special times with me. Have a blessed 2025 with your wonderful family. I pray often for Granny.
Jo Hubbard..SW VA.. Thank you for sharing your Christmas celebration with all of us.. your RUclips family… I surely enjoyed it. There is nothing like having family to share all of the food and laughter and the Love of Jesus. The babies makes it all the more precious. The two Christmas ornaments..what wonderful keepsakes. It was also precious to see Granny enjoying Christmas dinner with you. I loved it. Happy New Year and May God bless all of you.
I am so happy ya'll had a wonderful Christmas . Tipper, I have a story for you. I have been planning to get a copy of your cookbook but was going to wait until after Christmas because I have a lot of people to buy gifts for. I go to my oldest brother's house on Christmas morning to have breakfast and exchange gifts with him and my younger brother and when I opened my gift from him there was a copy of your cookbook. I was so tickled. I asked him how he knew I wanted it and he said it just looked like a cookbook I would enjoy. I love it.
This was a great video. I enjoyed it! My mom had a knack for finding 4 leaf clovers. I've never found any. The ornaments made with Miss Cindy and Pap's shirts and handwriting are so precious. Thanks for sharing your Christmas with us. May God bless you all .
My Dads birthday was 12/23 and we would always have a soup supper with 3 or 4 different soups. Oyster stew was his favorite. Followed up by his favorite cake ... angel food cake and homemade ice cream.
Tipper I love the cooking part that you make for family. The recipes are tempting and delicious. Hope Granny is doing okay and God bless this precious lady.
I love the ornaments that Cori gave yall! We lost a brother last year. I wanted to something with one of his shirts for his son. Now I know where to go! Thanks so much!
Many of your traditions were similar to what my Mother in-law used to cook. Oyster stew was definitely a tradition on Christmas Eve. So precious as you continue the tradition of celebrating the birth of Jesus 🙏 with Ira. Memory making moments 😊 Thank you for sharing. Praying and Blessed! 🤗🙏💕🌄
Granny may not be 100percent, but she is quick on the draw. I thought that was so cute. Yall are going to have to get her a Christmas gift for sure.🙏❤️🙂
Beans look great! I always add in some ham hock to the beans. I'll add some sliced jalapeños to my bowl of beans but not to the pot because not everyone likes jalapeños. Praying for Granny's health and well-being and for you and your family.
This was so much fun to watch. Oh wow what an incredibly thoughtful and special gift, the ornaments with Miss Cindy's and Paps shirts. Love love love the little poem books!! LOL I sure understand about the soggy bibs and half a dozen burp cloths, my five month old grand daughter is a soggy baby too.
What a treat you’ve given us this holiday season. I never expected so many great videos during Christmas. I thought maybe one or two. What a gift. When I saw how long this last video is I was over the moon excited! I love the longer videos. I so enjoyed all the great food preparations and family fun. Thank you! Thank You! ❤
This was wonderful! It made me think of my family at Christmas…my family just loved Christmas so much…and we had such a great time together. Both Grandparents and Mom and Dad are gone, and so is that Christmas warmth. I could feel it again watching you all, so thank you from my heart for sharing this with us. Sending you love and blessings!
Love your family and was a great celebration. Thank you for sharing. My birthday is 12/25 so I share it with Jesus. I received a wonderful birthday present in 2019 as my youngest grandson was born 12/26. Very sweet. Sadly, this was probably one of the worst Christmas’s I have ever had. My mom has Alzheimer’s and rarely recognizes me or anyone. My dad passed away last December which let into my siblings and I having to sell our state registered 175yr old family farm. THAT hurt having to go say goodbye. Our family just doesn’t seem close anymore. I live about 1000 miles away from all of this which just tears my heart out. My health has gotten worse. My oldest son and family also moved about 6 hours away. Youngest son is 20 and doing his thing. I’m so very lonely and sad and forgotten. I’m sooo alone and I absolutely love Christmas time. Not even the meaning of it warmed me this year. We are empty nesters now and I feel like I have no more to do but just sit and wait to die. I’m sorry so negative. I’m just so sad about many situations and have no idea what to do. Sorry…
Black walnuts are my favorite!! But you can’t find them anywhere around here unless you have a tree here to hull them yourself. We used to go and pick them and take them to a huller to get extra money to get by on. We would fill our truck bed to where you couldn’t get anymore in it. We would be stained so bad from the walnuts and kids at school thought we hadn’t bathe lol. It had to wear off . But those are the good one days . But I sure wished I had me some black walnuts .
This was so much fun! Yes, we're all exhausted from cooking, but yes, I can eat the leftovers for at least 3 days! Merry Christmas and happy holidays Tipper et. all!
Pinto beans contain a type of sugar that the body cannot easily digest. This settles in the large intestine and ferments, causing flatulence (gas). That is one reason it is suggested that pinto beans be soaked and rinsed before cooking. This may not happen to each person, but I soak and rinse to be on the safe side. Great Christmas Content!!!
Thank you for sharing your day with us. Due to family dynamics I am not able to have Christmas with my side of the family which makes it very hard on me. You and your family videos give me some comfort. ❤️
I love this video so much. You all are precious. I’m definitely going to make this cake,it reminds me of my mother’s homemade German chocolate cake and I just happen to have all the ingredients . I laughed out loud when granny got you first with “Christmas gift” , and the ornaments are beyond special . Thank you sooo very much for sharing with us.💕🥰
Beautiful Christmas time! 😊Love the special ornament of your love ones! How sweet was that! Corie that was such a great idea. Katie, loved all the poems about the boys! That was so sweet!😊
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁. I am watching your video now. I am so excited that I received your cookbook for Christmas. I may have to try that Arsh Tater Cake. Not sure if I spelled this correctly.
Oh my goodness. I laughed so hard here (about minute mark 17) I know NOW that Matt was putting something under the counter, but when I first watched it, I thought he was beating his head on the counter, in high speed. I bet I've watched that part at least a half dozen times and laugh harder each time.
I enjoyed this so much . I loved the ornaments that Kori made. We made it safely back from Indiana to see our kids. Much love and prayers for Granny and Matts dad as well. God bless you all.
Those ornaments are so special and also the little photo books with the sweet poems. Those things mean so much more. Looks like you all had a grand time with family. God’s blessings in this new year.
Thank you for sharing Christmas. I haven't watched for a few months because of the algorithm, I suspect. I'm glad I found you all again. You are a beautiful family & you always warm my heart ❤️ You folks are very special ..God Bless
Such a wonderful Christmas celebration. I love that family is so important to your family. The food looked delicious, and it was good to see Granny. Thank you for sharing your day with us. 😃
When i was a little kid, my Mom used to ask me what I wanted for lunch? Oyster stew! My favorite! It was quick and easy. As an adult, it doesn't taste as when she made it. Sweet memories. Same simple recipe she used.
Oh my goodness, Korie, what a special gift. Had me in tears for sure. So sweet, so thoughtful! I love that! ❤️❤️ Matt, I laughed out loud when you opened your plate of "food." 🤣 Granny made me sure enough laugh, you go girl!! 😁🤣Y'all are such a special family, thank you for including your viewers in your lives. Happy New Year! May God Bless you all in 2025!
My mama use to make pinto beans and sometimes instead of cornbread, she would use bread. Slices of bread and then pour the soup and beans over it. My Daddy would say, just get some “lofabread” and he had to have mayonnaise with it. But it took years for me to realize it was a loaf of bread 😂😉

My grandfather is living, my last grandparent, and he gave my husband like 20 Pearl snap shirts last week- I told him I would be cutting a few up 😂

Wonderful visit with a wonderful family. So glad you had great Christmas together. The ornaments from Corie were so precious!
Oyster stew is mentioned in the "Little House" books. Ma and Pa made it for Christmas.
I love the Little House books!
How thoughtful those younguns are with their Christmas gifts Tipper and Matt. Thanks for sharing Presley family! 🙏❤️
Thank you for watching!
Thank you so much! We’re so glad you enjoyed.
I am so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching 😊
It was fun spending time with you all.
I love it.
That’s so sweet of your brother!
Love love love your blogs! They give me peace!
Tipper I just love that you have all the family for the Holidays and let us come along ❤️🎄
This was a great video. I enjoyed it! My mom had a knack for finding 4 leaf clovers. I've never found any. The ornaments made with Miss Cindy and Pap's shirts and handwriting are so precious. Thanks for sharing your Christmas with us. May God bless you all .
I love black walnuts! Banana nut bread is the best with black walnuts!
So good!
In carrot cake, too.
Thank you for showing us how your egg separator works, it looks so simple to use, not hard at all.🙏❤️🙂
Those ornaments using the handwriting and shirts are really beautiful.
I am so glad you liked them!
My Dads birthday was 12/23 and we would always have a soup supper with 3 or 4 different soups. Oyster stew was his favorite. Followed up by his favorite cake ... angel food cake and homemade ice cream.
That sounds amazing!! I love soup so much.
Sounds like a lovely tradition!
Merry Christmas 🎁 praise God what a great wholesome family ❤
You are so kind Thank you!
Tipper I love the cooking part that you make for family. The recipes are tempting and delicious. Hope Granny is doing okay and God bless this precious lady.
Looks like you all had a wonderful Christmas filled with good food and fellowship.
I always enjoy watching your videos and spending time with you!
The beans look amazing.
❤❤❤
So glad you enjoyed! 😊
I love the ornaments that Cori gave yall! We lost a brother last year. I wanted to something with one of his shirts for his son. Now I know where to go! Thanks so much!
I’m so sorry you lost him!
@CelebratingAppalachia thank you.
😊
That ornament is precious beyond words.
Beans look great! I always add in some ham hock to the beans. I'll add some sliced jalapeños to my bowl of beans but not to the pot because not everyone likes jalapeños.
Praying for Granny's health and well-being and for you and your family.
Thank you so much! 🙏
So glad you enjoyed it! 😊
What a treat you’ve given us this holiday season. I never expected so many great videos during Christmas. I thought maybe one or two. What a gift. When I saw how long this last video is I was over the moon excited! I love the longer videos. I so enjoyed all the great food preparations and family fun. Thank you! Thank You! ❤
I’m so glad you liked it! We had a lot of fun making them 😊
This was wonderful!
Sorry…
I’m so sorry Kimberly. I can’t imagine how hard this all is for you. I will pray for God to help you in all ways.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for sharing your Christmas cooking and traditions Tipper and Matt.
So glad you enjoyed! 😊
Merry Christmas and happy holidays Tipper et. all!
I'm so Glad Y'all had a Great Christmas jokes and all!😊❤🙏🏻
I Hope Y'all have a Wonderful New Year full of Joy and Blessings!😊❤🙏🏻🎉
Pinto beans contain a type of sugar that the body cannot easily digest. This settles in the large intestine and ferments, causing flatulence (gas). That is one reason it is suggested that pinto beans be soaked and rinsed before cooking. This may not happen to each person, but I soak and rinse to be on the safe side. Great Christmas Content!!!
The musical fruit!😂
Thank you so much for sharing this special day with us ❤❤❤Wonderful video, so enjoyed it !! Happy New Year to the family 🎉
Glad y’all had a great celebration on Christmas Day. Looking forward to a blessed happy, healthy and fun New Year!

Oh my goodness. I laughed so hard here (about minute mark 17) I know NOW that Matt was putting something under the counter, but when I first watched it, I thought he was beating his head on the counter, in high speed. I bet I've watched that part at least a half dozen times and laugh harder each time.
😊
I'm glad Granny the Great got you with "Christmas gift!".
She is the bomb!🙏❤️🙂
I enjoyed this so much . I loved the ornaments that Kori made. We made it safely back from Indiana to see our kids.
Much love and prayers for Granny and Matts dad as well. God bless you all.

Those ornaments are so special and also the little photo books with the sweet poems. Those things mean so much more. Looks like you all had a grand time with family. God’s blessings in this new year.

Thank you 😊
When i was a little kid, my Mom used to ask me what I wanted for lunch?
Thank you so much! You’re so kind!! 😊
😊
Really like black walnuts, also. I have baked your arch potato cake before, and it was delicious. God bless.
OHHHH I hear a little life not sure which one but love to hear the little life God has given yall both all yall
