Ubisoft has been killing it with these single player games. I've been rebounding on Watch Dogs, Gods and monsters and Assassin's Creed ever since i quit Cyberpunk 2077. These 3 games have been a great end to an otherwise terrible year.
Ubisoft made very good single player game this year, and cyberpunk is failing a lot, but Ubisoft is rising, Immortal Fenyx Rising looks awesome, i am getting that, assasins creed valhalla, and watch dogs legion.
@@COOLGAMER-lw3ie Yeah, Cyberpunk was disappointing to say the least but it's not a bad game. Just not the 10/10 people were calling it. There are a lot of things that even Assassins Creed or Watch Dogs does way better then Cyberpunk. I hope Cyberpunk becomes a better game in the future.
I absolutely love this game. The mix of reviews complaining it borrows too many ideas from elsewhere and scoring it low + release date being terrible = Never going to succeed. This game is brilliant. Looks good, good fun. Loads to collect. All without being too pretentious. BTW, I platinumed it in 54hrs
I dearly love this game, it's the best game you can play on the switch right now. My husband and me try to outdo each other all the time. 10/10 I wasn't sure if I would enjoy the game but now I even regret not getting the gold edition. I'm not a skilled gamer, but by upgrading abilities myself I feel like I really know what I'm doing.
I wasn't expecting my ps5 disc drive to be spinning an Ubisoft title for so long or at all. But, this game is way more special than it will ever be given credit for. It'll probably be a cult classic.
The fact i can wander around and find unique events that aren't marked on the map, is a sign of a well crafted open world. In contrast, every single event in Cyberpunk2077 is pre-marked the moment you enter one of the main hubs, and there's no in-between events to take part in when you go from point A to B. Its a joke
I'm 24 hours in and I can honestly say it's one of the most engaging and fun games I've ever played! Incredible game and along with Tony Hawk remake my game of the year.

Hopefully this game sells well through word of mouth. I find this game to be vastly more enjoyable than just about every other big Triple-A game released this year. So many games these days release buggy, unfinished, and generally feel like they were made with only money in mind and not passion .This is not one of those games.
tbh, I didnt expect much since it was another Ubisoft open-world game. Still bought it on Ebay for cheap. And oh boy was I wrong. Haven't played such an addictive game in a while.
I’m late to the party on this one but I’m loving this game It’s definitely an underrated game for sure and it’s definitely up there as one of Ubisoft’s best titles and one of my favourite Ubisoft games to date
I agree totally, it actually takes me back to the magic of Ocarina of Time! Its game play is fun, while not taking itself too serious! It goes back to just having fun, exploring, solving puzzles, good combat and progression, I'm really enjoying this game, and can't wait to play through again, with game +
My sister got me this game for my switch for my birthday can say this is amazing. Just started it, and have 15 hours into it, the vaults take FOREVER though lol.

I agree with everything you've said about the game. I suppose if anything can be changed or improved, it's the liveliness of the open world. I wish the story had used something else to motivate Fenyx on his/her adventure. I wish there were PEOPLE in it. Almost a 100 hours in and I'm still having fun playing but I can't deny how empty and lonely the world feels sometimes.
Bought it while drunk around Christmas by mistake 🤪 almost 30 hours in and finding it hard to keep down! Would be my second GOTY after TLOU2 (now don't get scandalised, I absolutely loved that too!) 🧡

Pretty sure the combat in Darksiders isn't simple. It's only simple if you continuously button-mash. Great review, though. The constant comparisons to Darksiders has convinced me to pick it up.
Just got to the part where you officially get to the middle (evil) area. I must say, the only thing about this game that is for children is probably the art style. The jokes, exploration, puzzles, and even the way health and stamina operate is a lot more adult that people may think at first glance. For a game, that seems aimed at kids, it actually respects the player and gives them the tools to figure things out without spoonfeeding or handholding often found in so-called mature games. Having now put 41 hours into it and seemingly nearing the end of the story, I can honestly say this was the surprise game of the year for me. I played it right after Ghost of Tsushima and God of War, so my bar was really high going in and yet the game hooked me. I really appreciate the use of Greek lore in such a unique way...it felt so much like God of War (2018) but way more fun exploration.
THIS game is incredible, its been a long time since ive really loved playing a single player game. I typically stick to multiplayer shooters, as a competitive person they just do the job for me, and since ive been gaming since the NES days, single player games just feel like its too much of the same for me. My gf bought me this game for a gift, i was eying it but wasnt sold because again i dont really stick with single player games, i got cyber punk played for about 2 hours and never touched it again. So i gave this game a shot and right off the start i was hooked, love the story, love greek mythology... the open world the colours are incredible, combat, puzzles.. everything in this game just made me happy. I have about 20 hours in, not finished the game yet still have a lot to do. Point being this game is well worth buying.
I LOVE this game its beautiful, its funny, its engaging, it has a fantastic soundtrack and most of all, it's just damn FUN!! Its a breath of fresh air and imo the best thing ubisoft has put out since FC new dawn. Far cry 6 was my last big game purchase and I dont think I even need to state why I stopped playing after a day or too 🤢🤮 very disappointing but immortals is great, glad I took a chance on it and couldnt recomend enough. This is what I've been playing during my highly anticipated wait for tiny Tina's wonderlands but as good as this game is I'll be playing it along side wonderlands instead of just a time filler. Solid 8.5! Edit: if wonderlands is what I'm hoping it will be than it will by far be my game of the year but if not than I definitely think its gonna be immortals!!
@@Marin-u7h if you’re after something fairly lighthearted and easy to just sit and play, yeah. Puzzles are decent, combat isn’t complex but works well and it’s a decent length game
I actually bought this on the switch day one once I heard it was about Greek mythology and I got to say I'm in love with it. I have well over 50 hours into it and the reason for that is because I've been taking my sweet time with it because I'm still not done with the game but that's okay though I actually started it over because I wanted to do certain things the right way but yeah I'm overall loving the game and for me it's my game of the year.
Really surprised me this one. Love it!! Have it on Switch and works beautifully. This is what I thought Assassins Creed Oddysee was going to be when it released (didn't like that one, felt slow and really not engaging, but then again I gave up on AC after Syndicate).. -- My last game purchase was Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and this game, after 1 hour I put down Cyberpunk (bought it physically and can't refund it, wish I could though, disappointing) and started this game. Love it!!
Bought this in their spring sale for £20 ! Started NG+ after 50hrs. One of the best game Ubi's ever made imho. Looking forward to the 3rd DLC as the first two aren't that appealing tbo. Cheers.
I played AC Odyssey, which I loved since the Greek history is interesting, and just recently came across this (PS store recommendations). Now I got this one and boy do I like the funny side of the story-telling and behaviours in this game. It's like playing as Kassandra from AC Odyssey again, with a great sense of humor in it. Even my wife laughs out loud at times, where she hears the conversation between Zeus and Promtheus being hilarious. Great game overall, but could have had some more difficult challenges the vaults. Didn't wanna miss any moment of playing it.
So I haven't played this yet, but I fully intend to especially with the DLC's available. I'm a huge nerd when it comes to ancient mythology and extraterrestrial studies within the realm of spirituality. That's what my whole content base is and I think this game will really help me dive deeper into the pantheons of gods. How do you feel about the knowledge you gain from it? ... Also, did Ubisoft make a better game in breath of the wild because it certainly looks like it!
Very similar experience. I think I liked AC: Odyssey more than most because of my fascination with Greek Mythology. And with this, it's like Ubisoft read my mind and said, OK, here's that game you were expecting. The exploration is so amazingly fun, and I'm over the 40 hour mark, and still love finding hidden stuff (haven't finished main quest). I paid full price and love it. Yes, it takes BotW, removes some components, adds others, but it's clear Ubisoft said "let's make a BotW like game", and for me, a PC guy, thank you!
The only reason I haven’t bought this yet is because it’s on my Christmas list haha. If not for that, I would have been playing since the day it came out. Definitely looking forward to this one, for sure.

I had a lot of fun with this game for the first 35 hours or so, which took me several months to do. But I totally disagree about the puzzles and vaults not getting boring, they started to get very repetitive and boring to me after a while until I started skipping past or ignoring them for the most part. The vaults especially, they all look the same, with the same ethereal backgrounds (which were awesome at first) same blue color pallet in every single one, and same basic goal: move some blocks or flip some levers until you get to the end. This game has a lot of potential and was fun for a while, but once I realized it didn't really have anything new to offer after a while, I ran out of enthusiasm to keep playing.
I got it last week and im enjoying but wish id seen your review first,didnt know it would be such a platformer and im not good at those but having said that i dont regret it,☺
Got this for my switch for $40 instead of Xbox. I wanted the portability. Although the graphics take a hit, it’s still a really great game. I’m loving the story, I’m in wars den right now.
Great review of a great game... Just wondering if anyone can help me with a problem I'm having? The tougher vaults are meant to save at certain checkpoints so you can return later if they prove to hard! However when I left one to come back everything had been reset and hadn't saved my progress through the vault? Am I missing something?
Great video but I have a suggestion, music audio is way too high or voice audio is too low, I think you should lower the music or make the voice louder because its kinda hard to hear, other than that I think Im getting the game after watching this
Immortals and Ori are for me the 2 best games of the year. I would also put them in my top 10 games on the switch. Hope more gamers play this gem thank you Ubisoft!
it gets repetitive to me and I hate how you have to load up the save before the ending when you beat the game in order to play again where you left off
Yes ofcourse its yes! I didnt have much expectations at first since the marketing isnt as massive as cybugpunk. But man this game really absorb my time, the beautiful cartoonish graphic and draw distance is beautiful, while the comedy inside maybe not for everyone but sometimes it made me chuckle
I’m glad so many people are coming back and discovering this game now that Cyberpunk has shit the bed. It’s really one of Ubisoft’s best games this year.
i have seen ALOT of reviews for this game after i already got it and played it and its weird just how many try to put down the game by being "its rips off BOTW" like taking heavy from other games is a bad thing. people miss out on alot of great games holding that mentality, they probably missed out on the darksiders 1 and 2 for being a "zelda clone". this game is genuinely one of the most addictingly fun games ive put 50+ hours into. i haven't felt such addiction that long into a game without a moment of the game getting dull since my first few times in skyrim.
The game is really quite special, and while it does fit the Ubisoft niche perfectly, that doesn’t mean it’s bad. A solid open world with a charming narrative and interesting mechanics and system, sounds like a winner
Yes the game is kool but it gets overwhelming with all the puzzles so i got bored after about 40+ hours its still a good game I just think they shouldn’t have added all the puzzles
I'm in the middle of this game, and it's good, but not completely my cup of tea. It's a Ubisoft game, similar to Assassin's Creed Odyssey. What that means is that it's lazy and superficial entertainment. Draw a map. Have a library of standard challenges, and pick five. Fill the map by copy & pasting those same five challenges all over it. That's the feeling you get. Cheap and lazy. It's superficial. You just hack'n slash enemies, and solve the above mentioned five puzzles a thousand times for no real reason. There's no intrigue, no interesting characters, no mystery, no atmosphere... But despite all this, it's still addicting and pretty fun. So it's like perfection of a crappy recipe. The game is often compared to Zelda. I haven't played a breath of the wild myself, but what I do know is that older Zelda games used to have one important Metroidvania element - that you gain new abilities that allow you to progress. Zelda also have slightly more intelligent and inspired puzzles, not to mention unique ones that are not repeated a thousand times. Good games usually have interesting characters, including an interesting villain. In Immortals you know that there is some angry and narcissistic dude in a volcano somewhere, and that's it. You don't have a real reason to defeat him to be honest. All in all, it's good entertainment for people who don't have the energy to get engaged in anything deeper. Currently that's me. Otherwise I tend to look towards the indie titles that are made with love as opposed to a factory.

I thought id hate the puzzles because they were ok in BOTW but preferred the action. These are done a little more simple 30 hrs in and only had to youtube a vault once. That being said the game has a little of everything and so much to do see, story, potion making, loot etc. The loot is also done better than botw. I felt like some of the work never paid off in botw where in this do a big mission get a helm or other cool amour piece. I went from Dragons Dogma playing and beating story (hardcore rpg) to this and I love this maybe more not sure havent done the bitter isle or what ever on dd. Anyhow i love Immortals! Also i play on switch which is fun ported or on hand held.
I bought Hades right after buying Immortals Fenyx Rising and will jump on that one ones this one is finished. Immortals is a contender for best game of the year in my book, lets see about Hades :)
The armor that Fenyx wears almost have me mistaken this game as AC Odyssey, Legacy Gaming definitely chose a wrong type of armor to show off this game.
It definitely is worth the time, the production value is top shelf and it's oozing with personality, but it's extremely puzzle heavy which I can see as a huge turnoff for alotta gamers, and the puzzles can be insanely difficult. It strangely reminds me of older Tombraider games, even the music is similar in aspects but yeah game is definitely a 8.5 out of 10 for me and that's with hating the puzzling.

I have well over 50 hours into it and the reason for that is because I've been taking my sweet time with it because I'm still not done with the game but that's okay though I actually started it over because I wanted to do certain things the right way but yeah I'm overall loving the game and for me it's my game of the year.

Really surprised me this one. Love it!! Have it on Switch and works beautifully. This is what I thought Assassins Creed Oddysee was going to be when it released (didn't like that one, felt slow and really not engaging, but then again I gave up on AC after Syndicate).. -- My last game purchase was Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and this game, after 1 hour I put down Cyberpunk (bought it physically and can't refund it, wish I could though, disappointing) and started this game. Love it!!
Bought this in their spring sale for £20 ! Started NG+ after 50hrs. One of the best game Ubi's ever made imho. Looking forward to the 3rd DLC as the first two aren't that appealing tbo. Cheers.
I played AC Odyssey, which I loved since the Greek history is interesting, and just recently came across this (PS store recommendations).
Now I got this one and boy do I like the funny side of the story-telling and behaviours in this game.
It's like playing as Kassandra from AC Odyssey again, with a great sense of humor in it.
Even my wife laughs out loud at times, where she hears the conversation between Zeus and Promtheus being hilarious.
Great game overall, but could have had some more difficult challenges the vaults.
Didn't wanna miss any moment of playing it.

So I haven't played this yet, but I fully intend to especially with the DLC's available. I'm a huge nerd when it comes to ancient mythology and extraterrestrial studies within the realm of spirituality. That's what my whole content base is and I think this game will really help me dive deeper into the pantheons of gods. How do you feel about the knowledge you gain from it? ... Also, did Ubisoft make a better game in breath of the wild because it certainly looks like it!
Very similar experience. I think I liked AC: Odyssey more than most because of my fascination with Greek Mythology. And with this, it's like Ubisoft read my mind and said, OK, here's that game you were expecting. The exploration is so amazingly fun, and I'm over the 40 hour mark, and still love finding hidden stuff (haven't finished main quest).
I paid full price and love it. Yes, it takes BotW, removes some components, adds others, but it's clear Ubisoft said "let's make a BotW like game", and for me, a PC guy, thank you!

The only reason I haven’t bought this yet is because it’s on my Christmas list haha. If not for that, I would have been playing since the day it came out. Definitely looking forward to this one, for sure.

My GOTY.... The one that I didn't know that I needed.
I had a lot of fun with this game for the first 35 hours or so, which took me several months to do. But I totally disagree about the puzzles and vaults not getting boring, they started to get very repetitive and boring to me after a while until I started skipping past or ignoring them for the most part.
The vaults especially, they all look the same, with the same ethereal backgrounds (which were awesome at first) same blue color pallet in every single one, and same basic goal: move some blocks or flip some levers until you get to the end.
This game has a lot of potential and was fun for a while, but once I realized it didn't really have anything new to offer after a while, I ran out of enthusiasm to keep playing.
Definitely getting this game later. Im 64hrs in AC Valhalla and loving that game !

Got this for my switch for $40 instead of Xbox. I wanted the portability. Although the graphics take a hit, it’s still a really great game. I’m loving the story, I’m in wars den right now.
After AC: Odyssey and Hades. Im super into Greek Mythology. Hopefully this wil be a fine addition.

Great review of a great game... Just wondering if anyone can help me with a problem I'm having? The tougher vaults are meant to save at certain checkpoints so you can return later if they prove to hard! However when I left one to come back everything had been reset and hadn't saved my progress through the vault?
Am I missing something?
Great video but I have a suggestion, music audio is way too high or voice audio is too low, I think you should lower the music or make the voice louder because its kinda hard to hear, other than that I think Im getting the game after watching this
That’s why there’s audio options... just find your personal preference.

Immortals and Ori are for me the 2 best games of the year. I would also put them in my top 10 games on the switch. Hope more gamers play this gem thank you Ubisoft!
The music in both games are amazing... and I think it is the same guy who made it! It`s a big part of the games atmosphere!

In my opinion it doesn't beat Hades, but it's damn good and people are finally starting to realize it.

Yes ofcourse its yes! I didnt have much expectations at first since the marketing isnt as massive as cybugpunk. But man this game really absorb my time, the beautiful cartoonish graphic and draw distance is beautiful, while the comedy inside maybe not for everyone but sometimes it made me chuckle
I’m glad so many people are coming back and discovering this game now that Cyberpunk has shit the bed. It’s really one of Ubisoft’s best games this year.

i have seen ALOT of reviews for this game after i already got it and played it and its weird just how many try to put down the game by being "its rips off BOTW" like taking heavy from other games is a bad thing. people miss out on alot of great games holding that mentality, they probably missed out on the darksiders 1 and 2 for being a "zelda clone". this game is genuinely one of the most addictingly fun games ive put 50+ hours into. i haven't felt such addiction that long into a game without a moment of the game getting dull since my first few times in skyrim.
The game is really quite special, and while it does fit the Ubisoft niche perfectly, that doesn’t mean it’s bad. A solid open world with a charming narrative and interesting mechanics and system, sounds like a winner
Probably going to buy it with Xmas money and play it after cyberpunk

Yes the game is kool but it gets overwhelming with all the puzzles so i got bored after about 40+ hours its still a good game I just think they shouldn’t have added all the puzzles

I'm in the middle of this game, and it's good, but not completely my cup of tea. It's a Ubisoft game, similar to Assassin's Creed Odyssey. What that means is that it's lazy and superficial entertainment.
Draw a map. Have a library of standard challenges, and pick five. Fill the map by copy & pasting those same five challenges all over it. That's the feeling you get. Cheap and lazy.
It's superficial. You just hack'n slash enemies, and solve the above mentioned five puzzles a thousand times for no real reason. There's no intrigue, no interesting characters, no mystery, no atmosphere...
But despite all this, it's still addicting and pretty fun. So it's like perfection of a crappy recipe.
The game is often compared to Zelda. I haven't played a breath of the wild myself, but what I do know is that older Zelda games used to have one important Metroidvania element - that you gain new abilities that allow you to progress. Zelda also have slightly more intelligent and inspired puzzles, not to mention unique ones that are not repeated a thousand times.
Good games usually have interesting characters, including an interesting villain. In Immortals you know that there is some angry and narcissistic dude in a volcano somewhere, and that's it. You don't have a real reason to defeat him to be honest.
All in all, it's good entertainment for people who don't have the energy to get engaged in anything deeper. Currently that's me. Otherwise I tend to look towards the indie titles that are made with love as opposed to a factory.

I thought id hate the puzzles because they were ok in BOTW but preferred the action. These are done a little more simple 30 hrs in and only had to youtube a vault once. That being said the game has a little of everything and so much to do see, story, potion making, loot etc. The loot is also done better than botw. I felt like some of the work never paid off in botw where in this do a big mission get a helm or other cool amour piece. I went from Dragons Dogma playing and beating story (hardcore rpg) to this and I love this maybe more not sure havent done the bitter isle or what ever on dd. Anyhow i love Immortals! Also i play on switch which is fun ported or on hand held.

I bought Hades right after buying Immortals Fenyx Rising and will jump on that one ones this one is finished. Immortals is a contender for best game of the year in my book, lets see about Hades :)
The armor that Fenyx wears almost have me mistaken this game as AC Odyssey, Legacy Gaming definitely chose a wrong type of armor to show off this game.
How come you guys havent done more content about this game? its so much better then ac valhalla.
It definitely is worth the time, the production value is top shelf and it's oozing with personality, but it's extremely puzzle heavy which I can see as a huge turnoff for alotta gamers, and the puzzles can be insanely difficult. It strangely reminds me of older Tombraider games, even the music is similar in aspects but yeah game is definitely a 8.5 out of 10 for me and that's with hating the puzzling.
